Fellow SSR-fag here, and this is pretty much the only hurdle.
As a matter of fact, most of the 'secret final boss' songs of recent editions aren't even that hard once you earn the ability to play them vanilla. It's the mods and nonreplenishable health bar forced on their original appearances in bonus stages that makes those songs things people have to attempt a few dozen times until they memorize them bit by bit. This is pretty much on par with those. If you can memorize the patterns so Sans doesn't trip you up so much, you really just need the physical part of it.
Hell, in these games, there's already an option to turn all the arrows completely invisible, just for people that like to do this kind of shit to themselves, and those videos were super popular back when arcades were still a thing and YouTube was young. Any mod that actually lets you still see the arrows (period) is a step -up- from that when you think about it.
