That's not even true. Tell her to point out to you exactly where the causal link is made in the Bible. There is condemnation for homosexual acts, but the punishment always came from humans (under Gods orders), not God himself. Aside from Sodom, Gomorrha and the Flood, that is, but those only happened because EVERYONE was messed up, not just because of gays.

If you take away the Bible as a source for her bigotry, she'll be left with the emotional argument. And in that case, just tell her that she can't assume truth from faith or even conviction alone. It's an easy point to make and an easy point to understand. She likely won't listen because of that, but if you want to stay reasonable and not keep quiet it's the way I'd suggest.

I know how you feel.
