Ford said the plane will actually make Ontario money and help create jobs.
“We need to get to the U.S. to continue building the relationships,” he told the Sun. “When we went to Texas, we had 13 meetings in three cities in two and a half days.”
But when it was all done, Ontario came out well.
“We landed six billion dollars of investments,” he said.

The pictures show Maya and Dahlia operating a touchscreen together, their hands touching. Dahlia is wearing a hoodie with Maya’s name on the front and back, and in the second photo she is turned away to show off the back to her sister.
The photos were posted by her father, David Gebala, with a simple heart emoji above them. Her mother, Cia Edmonds, who posts as “Cia Later,” then reposted the images and added: “My girls amaze me everyday.”
The pictures are also available on Maya’s Path of Resilience, a public Facebook group with close to 80,000 members.

The events, including a summit titled “In Defence of Democracy,” are being organized by the Spanish government and allied political networks.
Organizers say the goal is to strengthen cooperation between left-wing movements and agree on shared political priorities, including climate policy and international cooperation.
The meetings come as conservative and nationalist parties have gained ground in elections across Europe and beyond in recent years.

According to a report from the New York Post, in a 2020 interview, Eskridge explicitly warned that she felt escalating threats and said she needed to go public soon for her own safety.
“I need to disclose soon, man. I need to publish soon because it’s like escalating. It’s getting more and more aggressive,” Eskridge said.
“This has been going on for like four or five years, and over the past 12 months, it’s been escalating, like more aggressive, more invasive digging through my underwear drawer and sexual threats.”
She told associates that going public was safer than keeping the work private, stating, “If you stick your neck out in private… they will bury you, they will burn down your house while you’re sleeping in your bed and it won’t even make the news.”
Retired British intelligence officer Franc Milburn, who partnered with Eskridge to investigate the harassment, submitted findings to Congress in 2023.
Milburn concluded her death was not a suicide and alleged she had been subjected to multiple physical and psychological attacks, including a suspected “directed energy weapon” incident that caused microwave burns on her body, according to a report from the Daily Mail.
Eskridge’s father, Richard Eskridge, is a longtime NASA plasma physicist, adding another layer of high-level scientific connections to the case.

Ukraine's government flagged the Russian vessel ABINSK, docking at Haifa, as part of Moscow’s so-called shadow fleet, alleging that it is tied to operations used to "illegally export, transport, and sell stolen Ukrainian grain" and bankroll Moscow's war effort.
The saga has been featured in Ukrainian media, which says that despite a formal government-to-government request, Israeli authorities didn't stop the shipment.
Some 43,765 tonnes of wheat - loaded at Russia’s Kavkaz port and believed to originate from Ukrainian regions controlled by the Russian military - was allowed to be unloaded.
Ukraine is still expressing hope for "fruitful and constructive interaction" between both sides, with its embassy in contact with Israeli officials, but Tel Aviv does not appear to be as eager to intervene.

The plan involves replacing older satellites with newer third-generation models and adjusting their orbits to improve worldwide coverage. The system will be streamlined from 50 to 37 active satellites, most operating in medium Earth orbit like GPS and Europe’s Galileo.
A few satellites will remain in specialized orbits to improve signal reliability in certain regions, including areas linked to China’s Belt and Road Initiative. Regulatory filings indicate Google owned about 6.11% of SpaceX at the end of 2025. At a projected $2 trillion IPO valuation, that stake would be worth roughly $122 billion. After SpaceX’s merger with xAI, the holding is estimated to have diluted to around 5%, or about $100 billion at the same valuation.
The figures offer a clearer picture of Google’s position in SpaceX, which had previously been acknowledged without precise detail. Only Google and Elon Musk — who controls roughly 40% — were required to disclose holdings above 5%.
Bloomberg writes that SpaceX is targeting a potential June IPO and could raise as much as $75 billion, which would make it one of the largest listings ever. At that valuation, even a small fraction of ownership would translate into significant dollar value. Continue…

The most recent X post circulating this warning appears to have been posted by Yaniv himself — or at least from an old account belonging to him.
Yaniv, who now also uses the name Jessica Simpson, has a lengthy and controversial history with the British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal.
The Langley resident became widely known after filing more than a dozen complaints between 2018 and 2019 against female estheticians and small waxing businesses, alleging discrimination for refusing to provide Brazilian waxing services on his male genitalia.
The tribunal dismissed the majority of those complaints, with adjudicators citing improper motives, bad-faith conduct and an apparent pattern of targeting small businesses for financial gain in some rulings. Costs were awarded against Yaniv in at least one case. Yaniv has continued filing complaints in the years since.
In the most recent social-media post, which has been circulating among landlords and critics of Yaniv, the unidentified landlord describes receiving an inquiry about a basement-suite rental.
When the landlord asked for proper documentation for the claimed service dog, Yaniv reportedly became confrontational and sent a PDF asserting that no such documents were required.
The landlord said the booking to view the property was cancelled and the individual was blocked.
A subsequent text message from a different number then informed the landlord of an impending human-rights discrimination complaint seeking $25,000 in compensation, according to the post. Continue…

In early February, members of the committee adopted a motion by the Bloc Québécois to invite Wiseman to discuss his mandate.
The ambassador is a former business executive and friend of Prime Minister Mark Carney, and was appointed after Kirsten Hillman announced her decision to step down from the post in December.
Wiseman along with Canada’s Chief Trade Negotiator to the U.S. Janice Charette are part of the team leading the negotiations for the upcoming review of the Canada-United-States-Mexico-Agreement, which is scheduled for July.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his inner circle were reportedly blindsided - left "stunned" - after President Trump dropped a surprise line effectively clipping Israel's wings in Lebanon, according to Axios, citing sources familiar with the exchange.
On Friday, Trump declared the US had "prohibited" further Israeli strikes just as the administration-brokered 10-day ceasefire with Lebanon kicked in. The US President was unusually harsh in rhetoric with America's longtime #1 Mideast ally, writing on Truth Social that "enough is enough".
The words were clearly not directed at Lebanon, or Hezbollah, but squarely at Israel and its deadly air campaign which had included intense bombing of Beirut at the South for the last week-and-a-half.
The statement set off alarms in Jerusalem, with Israeli officials scrambling for clarity from Washington. Almost everything out of the Trump administration has up to now been generally glowing and positive when it comes to Israel and Netanyahu.
However, Axios captures the reaction in Tel Aviv, in a Saturday report saying "Netanyahu was personally stunned and alarmed when he learned of the post, the sources said."
Israel is set to pause offensive ops, but still says it reserves the right to "take all necessary measures in self-defense at any time against planned, imminent, or ongoing attacks."
