Didn't see one of these yet, so here it is. Show your desktop, rate others, offer tips to improve! I'm using a rainmeter combination of S.T.A.L.K.E.R and Shadowrun Returns themes, as well as the rocketdock theme Syfy V1 by Samurize, and the winamp skin is Industrial Sickness.

Normally this would be deleted as per the sticky: ("When starting a thread, give it a theme and kick the thread off by posting at least 5 wallpapers to match your theme."), but a desktop thread doesn't really fit that criteria, considering it's your personal desktop, and pulling random screenshots off Google images doesn't seem to fit the idea of this thread. This one can stay. Here's mine. I've never tried any themes or modifications other than the wallpaper, and it's used mostly for work these days, so it doesn't have anything cool or flashy.

Didn't think this deserves a thread so:
Hello /wg/,
Excuse my shameless self promotion, but anyway, I've been thinking of what to do with all of my wallpapers, since I don't have that much screens to use them with, and I'm not fond of using those programs that switch desktop wallpapers each boot/preset time.
So here it is, I made a simple startpage for my browser which fades out to a random background every 7 seconds.
I'm not really expecting anyone to like it, but if anyone finds it useful for displaying their collection of wallpapers, then I'm happily content with that.
Here's a demo:
https://cdn.rawgit.com/fidelt/startpage/master/index.html You can download it here:
https://github.com/fidelt/startpage And here are my desktop/tablet screen

Is it still okay to post on /wg/ when my wallpaper isn't actually visible? Here's my desktop in any case. I still haven't worked out how to add widgets yet (the widgets seen here came with awesomewm by default). Once I work that out, the idea is to keep the top bar pretty minimal (just a tasklist, workspaces, and a clock) whilst putting all the other widgets (mpd player, cpu, hdd, ram vol, etc) on the bottom bar.
