Welcome to /wg/
Hello and welcome to /wg/, 8chan's Wallpaper Generals board. Here's what to expect from /wg/:1) No censorship. Nothing will be deleted unless it breaks one of the rules (see below) or the global site rules.
2) A place to share wallpapers with other anons.
Here are the rules: –UPDATED 10/19/2014–
1) When starting a thread, give it a theme (even if it's a loose one), and kick the thread off by posting at least 5 wallpapers to match your theme. Making a thread to request wallpapers of a specific theme is okay, as long as you follow the aforementioned prerequisite of a five image minimum.
2) /wg/ is NOT a safe for work board, and as such, adult content is NOT forbidden. Spoiler tags for adult content are NOT required.
3) HD images are encouraged. Keep uploads to a minimum of 1280 x 720.
4) Use the catalog! Check to see if there's an already existing thread about your topic. This helps keep duplicate threads to a minimum.
5) Anime wallpapers threads are allowed, as long as they adhere to the other rules in this sticky. This excludes loli porn, which should be directed to >>>/w/. Worksafe loli content is allowed.
6) /wg/ is NOT a catch-all dump for images. Posting low resolution, non-wallpaper images isn’t the purpose of this board.
7) Keep all modification requests in the Official Image Modification Thread: >>>/wg/799.
Other than that, enjoy the board.

(As requested from >>>/wg/788)Hello and welcome to the Official Image Modification Thread. This thread gives anons a place to post wallpaper modification requests, and (hopefully) have those requests fulfilled by other anons! Here are the rules:
1) Be specific when making a request! To give some examples: "Change the background color to this shade of green," "Remove this watermark," "change the resolution to 1920 x 1080." Be as detailed as possible!
2) Be sure to state your desired resolution! To go along with this, it helps to know your monitor's resolution.
3) Only post images that are requests or responses to requests! Keep the thread on topic.
4) Be patient. Sometimes these modifications can take time. We're also a new board. Continually bumping the thread with the same request is discouraged.
5) Be civil when making requests and critiquing the results. Remember, an anon took time out of his day to help you!
Other than that, enjoy the thread. I hope it spawns some cool collaborations.

Hey /wg/, I'm looking for black and white chipset backgrounds, but most of the ones that I liked have watermarks on them. I'm not sure how to get past watermarks and the chokehold of being forced to download it from their site seems like a ruse that would end in bad PC health.
I've tried searching through tineye to find non-marked versions but that doesn't work either, does anyone have anything like circuit boards, vectors, plain computer stuff that's easy on the eyes like pic related? Second one especially.

I have fallen in love with Eva Green as a result of becoming morbidly obsessed with her beautiful role in Penny Dreadful and all other dark and sexy roles she has played, and am in desperate need of a specific wallpaper I can not find anywhere else of quality. In season 2, episode 7.. at the Dorian Gray ball, she is in a magnificent red and black gown. I can share a screen cap if no one knows which I am talking about, but I have been unable to find a high definition wallpaper of her in this gown and a proper moment. Or maybe I just lack the technical skills to make my own.
This actress has captured my heart in this role. She is beautiful and just overall dark; the type of thing I truly find sexiest in a woman.. anyway back on topic.. I made this image to demonstrate the meanings of different wallpaper zoom methodsIt's pretty rudimentary for now; I'll add a description with exact details to each method if anybody's interested.
It would be a handy infograph to add to the general pool of images out there for the edification of newfags.
Also, I'm probably going to add OS compatibility lists (an OS icon next to all of its supported zoom methods), so could anybody with OS X, Windows 7, and Windows 8 tell me which methods are supported? (Also, any Linux users with Mate, LXDE, etc. please join in!)
