Ragnarok is the end of a cycle, not all the gods die. Vidar avenges the death of Odin, Thor slays the Midgard serpent but succumbs to its poison.

The world begins again afterwards, with a chance to make it better. This is not an age to preserve, it is a time of degeneration, the run up to the battle.

The gods know this and unlike you do not seem to run like cowards from their fate. If you are not prepared for the truth of this cataclysmic conflict, go hide under the Nazarene's robe and pray for salvation.
