Kept you waiting huh?

Time for this project to finally get on the road.

A kind anon has agreed to host the repo, so we now have server space for this.

The repo is currently live and operational.

What is the repo?

It's a repository of Suiseiseki and other Rozen Maiden images, created using a program called Hydrus Network, see >>>/hydrus/ for more details on the specifics, be warned, the manuals are old and outdated though.

The repo currently has roughly 30,000+ files, though I have much more to import into the collection.

This is not only an opportunity to get a huge collection of Desu images, but also to help your fellow desufags, by joining in on the tagging project, making the collection better for every desufag who downloads it.

So, im digging into the japanese side of the net, despite knowing almost no japanese, exploring pages I can't read, and digging into websites that are ages old, and finding thousands of new pictures

I set out to work on tagging the hydrus repo the other day, and instead ended up saving 500 new Desu images

There's so much stuff out there!

I'm starting to think we need a damn booru, that the desu repo pulls data and images from, allowing both hydrus and non hydrus users to get at and even upload images.

Anyone have any thoughts?

For a couple of days now, sometime after 05/02/15 (Sat), the function to save a file with the original filename has been broken in firefox/palemoon and instead of allowing you to save the image it opens it up in the active browser window Desu~

I don't know if this has been done intentionally or not but I imagine it's not Desu~
