English subtitled version of the SD Gundam G Generations Cross Rays Trailer 2 finally dropped. Official release date 28th November 2019. The more i see of this the more excited im getting for it. Best bit is with a PC version people will be able to pirate it to try it out if they are unsure on whether to get it or not.

Honestly i don't mind a break away from UC for a game, especially given that GGenGen was only UC.

No, dude. G Gen Genesis was only early UC; i.e., up to Unicorn and Hathaway's Flash. Nothing from F90 onward.

That's all your ever gonna get, UC up to what ever the latest UC is, now Narative. They go out of their way to pretend anything after didn't happen. How many years have people been asking for a Crossbone anime adaptation yet for the 40th anniversary we get fucking more Hathaway. And god forbid someone mention Victory gundam.

Welp, there goes any hope of Macross outside of Japan.

That guy doesn't seem to have 35 years left in him.

He's 89, I don't think he has 35 weeks left.

Why the hell would Tatsunoko do this considering that HG tried to fuck them not too long ago? Hell, HG did nothing with Robotech. Granted, Macross hasn't been great past 7 but still..no excuse for HG to do fuck all.

It's not just Harmony Gold's fault, the copyright/licensing of Macross is complex.

Iv been meaning to post this here for weeks but I don't know if any one would be interested or not. Every Sunday I'm streaming 6-12 hours of Super Robot Wars on what Iv been calling Suparobo Sunday. At the moment were up to Scenario 31 of Alpha Gaiden if any one would be interested in jumping in chatting and hanging out.

This weeks stream can be found here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MIn0Ju4sazo I also stream to twitch at the same time if you would prefer to watch over there but most of the conversation takes place on the youtube chat. https://www.twitch.tv/commissarbear

If this kind of thing is inappropriate for the board by all means nuke me down dorkly

Even way before I knew about War in the Pocket, the Kampfer has been one of my absolute favorite mechs.

This fucker from first pic related gave me a very intense non-sexual boner the moment I first saw him. Still my favourite since that moment. It's derivatives/variations are just not as good, I guess it's all because of its head.

Easily the best design from Gundam 00. Can't believe it's so unpopular.

Now that I am talking about underrated 00 designs, GN Cannon is incredibly good, too, and its default color scheme suits it very well. Though, unlike the Gadessa, it doesn't even have any fan art or kits (Reborns Cannon doesn't count, because it looks different and it's messy).

I really dig the late 80s - 90s GM variants, my favorite being the Custom but I prefer the Quel's color scheme. Of course, the Zaku II is the best grunt mobile suit ever made. As for non-Gundam, I really like RAY from Metal Gear and the Ideon is my favorite Super Robot design because it really sells the gargantuan god feeling.

It's a fun movie…shame that it only like follows the 70's anime up to Great Mazinger only. Grendizer just flat out ignored as are the other 70's Dynamic Pro mechas.

>Grendizer just flat out ignored as are the other 70's Dynamic Pro mechas

What else is new tbh famalam?

Anyone have this yet, haven't heard anything. Is it out?

It came out in 2017, the English blu-ray came out little under a year ago.

Ask in the torrent thread, maybe somebody has it?

Pretty good movie..kinda liked it where they learned their lesson to not put the actual Mazinger in the museum like the last time.

Why do you think that mecha seems to fail so horribly in the west? In the Early 2000s they made Megas XLR. The writing was fun, and it helped alleviate the low budget animation. It still got canned despite being decently popular.

Then years later Sym-bionic titan came along. It had actually good animation and it was a pretty good, if vanilla, super robot show. It also got canned despite having a decent viewership and it got even less episodes than Megas, which ended with the series being rushed towards a conclusion.

Then we have Pacific Rim, which also was decent, but it got panned critically, and people hated it for reason ranging from "not being realistic" to "being dumb".

Why do you think the genre just doesn't stick in the west despite other cartoons being made with clear anime genres influence?

Manchildren don't count.

A lot of them are women actually

>A lot of them are women

Bullshit unless they are masturbating to Soundwave

He was my favorite character on the show.

They're actually masturbating to Starscream.

I'm not kidding.

So this just came out on steam and PS4, I totaly overlooked it at first because the title was really stupid, but watching it in action and seeing that the title song was sung by Hironobu Kageyama i checked it out properly and holy shit im glad i did. Its basicaly Assault Suit Valken/Leynos via wayof SRW in its style of mechs

If that sounds appealing to you I highly recommend checking it out.

I did a stream of it if you want to check it out in action https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bX-aNgr5LU4 Im a big fan of both SRW and the Assault Suite games so i am quite bias, this game is essentially made for me.

do the mechs feel like mechs or is it more of an action platformer with srw aesthetics?

your streams are really comfy anon

If you have ever played any of the Assault Suit titles or Front Mission Gun Hazard it plays very much like them. If you have never played them id honestly recommend checking them out as they are a lot of fun.

thanks, i aim for a comfy laid back stream, i started streaming as a way to replicate playing games on mates couches which was not really viable any more due to time constraints

Gonna try to finish off the single player campaign on stream tonight if anyone is interested.

>Game has become a clusterfuck and power levels have gone bonkers

>Added 0096 shit

>added X-bone gundam to both sides (X1 and X2)

>Added musha gundam and Musha Mk. II

>Added Gundam NT suits

>"balance" is upping old suit health

>A lot of old maps are outright gone

>Maps have gone from feeling like a small section of the planet or space to generic feeling maps for an action game

I still remember when most repair suits barely broke 1K HP, now shit has like 4K HP no probalo

Forgot to mention they added Nightengale and Hi-Nu with the latter being outright unkillable

Came out today.

File: 1bc06c68816e888⋯.jpg (216.69 KB, 1200x900, 4:3, DOz4PXYUEAA3p9f.jpg)

Watched it.

Giant monsters start showing up from the end of the 20th century and wreck Earth, the worst of all being Godzilla. Also aliens show up and befriend mankind and help fight the monsters but by the mid 21st century 90% of the population is dead anyway and mankind has to abandon Earth.

20 years later and one of the two immigrant ships is running out of resources with no habitable planet in site and they decide to warp back to Earth, especially since protagonist Haruo has been researching Godzilla and has a plan on how to kill him (turns out that Godzilla has a shield which is what let him do shit like tank 150 nukes at the same time and Haruo has figured out how to turn it off).

They go back to Earth where 20000 years have passed and send out a team to kill Godzilla. The team gets wrecked by the smaller flying monsters and they decide to evacuate but run into Godzilla (50 m) and carry out Haruo's plan instead. It succeeds and they kill Godzilla.

The professor then tells Haruo that what they killed couldn't have been the original Godzilla because it was completely identical to their 20000 year old data. The original Godzilla (over 300 m) then pops out of a mountain, shoots down the landing ships by barking supersonic waves at them, and then wipes out everything on the ground by waving his tail at them which shoots out a beam shockwave.

Post-credits scene has Haruo wake up after having been rescued by some indigenous girl (descendant of survivors from 20000 years ago) wearing weird junk. Final shot is a still of him and other people standing in front of Mecha Godzilla.

1 post omitted. Click reply to view.

The plan to escape from Earth only had two ships with 15,000 people on board to begin with. The Earth Federation's central government used an AI to select the people who'd get on the ships. Haruo's ship is 1.5 km long and housed 5000 immigrants, the other ship was 3 km and housed 10000. Contact with the other ship was lost immediately after departure.

The Godzilla defeated in the first movie is "Godzilla Filius" which broke off from Godzilla via cell division. The original is now 300 m tall and over 100,000 tons,

Wouldn't the constant Godzilla movies get tiring after awhile?

They all seem like the same thing.

You haven't watched many Godzilla movies then. Sure the same tropes still exist throughout but the stories are different every time.

Having seen the trilogy I feel like the ideas it has are interesting but it has poor execution. Dialogue feels a little bit clunky at times. Is there an English Translation for the prequel novels. Based on their synopsis they sound interesting.

Copypasting stuff from you know where, spoilers of course:

PM is shown as indecisive and dumb but is willing to work with the US (doing so jndirectly kills him) and even has the SDF stand down at one point when it turns out that two civillians haven't evacuated the area yet

His actions are understandable becausr they have no idea how much of a threat godzilla is until he goes full ideon which is what kills the PM

Germany lets japan use their supercomputers, france helps stall the nume attack, yanks want to nuke but would do so even if this was NY and still help in operation yashiori (it's thanks to their drones that they can get godzilla to waste energy so they can attack him)

Final (fourth) form has the godzilla theme playing

Final showdown had SDF theme

Credits have original versions of both

Also a recurring BGM that has different versions building up as the movie goes on is VERY close to Decisive Battle

It starts playing and i literally laughed going holy shit anno put decisive battle in godzilla

It's not the same though, just te first bits of it repeated forever

operation to freeze godzilla is the yashiori sakusen

Like yashima sakusen

Only yashiori

And Ishihara's english is atrocious

No "tadpole" that i noticed

First form seen is some sort of retarded rat chicken with stumps for arms

Last scrne is closeup of tail tip, it's huPost too long. Click here to view the full text.

So basically, Godzilla destroys mankind and then SYMBOLISM happens?

He attacks Tokyo gets defeated by the underdog younger bureaucrats that work around the older bureaucrats fuckery. Its implied that its only temporary since at the end humanoid Godzillas come out of Godzilla's tail so they might overtake humanity.
