Just a tournament? no round-robin round?

That's how 4cc started, too.

Get the teams made first.

 No.8

so what needs to be done?
>i can start working on an 8chan version of the op

Please do this. That would be amazing.
It'd also be stupid if we posted the same poster over and over again when advertising our Cup, especially the old 4chan one. We really need something original.

 No.10

Owner of /bane/ here. Looking forward to this.

I've watched parts of a couple of these in the past on halfchan, but I was never very involved.

Can we get a sticky up with the info on what each team needs to provide? How many names, what types of audio clips, etc.

I'll make a sticky on /bane/ once you post the requirements and we'll get to work on it for you.

So should we start by posting a thread on each board and have them organize teams?

 No.23

>>21
you should settle on a game and the rules first
then organise who is going to mod it, who is going to stream it, the commentators, the dates it will take place and all of that shit
once the actual thing is planned and ready to go ahead, then you ask the top 25 boards (or whatever) to make a team, letting them know exactly what they are expected to contribute (names/logos/team songs/etc) and get them to nominate a "manager(s)" for the team
you should also tell the smaller boards that there may not be a spot for them this cup unless a bigger team drops out
once the deadline is up, the top 16 teams that have submitted their and are ready to go are in and the rest will have to wait

 No.25

>>23
Good point start with the foundation.

What game should we use?

 No.28

>>25
i'd personally like to see rugby or ice hockey but they're probably too niche

basketball would be a good option
/8cc/ seemed to be going with that until the board died and i'm sure they'll want to participate if we start it up again
somebody with the knowledge just needs to see if nba2k14/nba2k15 has modding capabilities and/or everything we need

I know a few anons have expressed wanting to do something different than half chan. basketball sounds good to me.

 No.30

>>25
I'd say, any of the iterations of PES would be good, specifically stuff from like 2011-12 because IIRC they had the most customization support outside of 6 (which is GOAT but it looks horrid)

Either that or we could use a Fifa title to distance ourselves from 4chancup's, though I don't even know if customization is an option over there.

>>28
To be honest it wouldn't matter which game and which title we chose, but the base requirement is that it's got a big support for editing players and teams' appearances. If that can't happen, there's no point in even hosting the cup, imo.

How's the madden scene on that aspect?

Also, consider that the number of reps would change depending on the sport, so we might end up with too little for a Football team and too many for a Basketball one. Hockey and Soccer sound good to me though.

 No.32

>>29
i know nba2k14 at least has signature skills which will add variety to your team
for example, the team could be allowed 8 signature skills… you could decide to give 5 to one GOAT player or spread them amongst your team
the only thing is they have a jew system (at least in mycareer mode) where you have to earn experience or buy points to unlock those skills
hopefully there's a team mode that isn't like that but i'm not sure

>>30

PES has it too for individual players, and if I recall correctly, it's mostly just used by the CPU to influence their decision making, which is pretty awesome for the purpose of the tourney

 No.34

>>33
>oh, also aight (are there even good RUGBY games out there)
dunno, i haven't played one for years
somebody would need to pirate the newest versions to check them out and i doubt it has the same level of customization as the bigger sport franchises tbh

>also, what about baseball, or are its matches too long?

yeah, it could be interesting but i don't see it being as popular as faster sports

 No.47

>>40
What for? If anything, this will be a test to see if the various boards would be interested in the events. Considering the amount of dead boards we have, it's a miracle we reached 16 individual teams, and one of them is not even a real board.

Trust me, you don't want to end up like in the 4chancup, where the biggest boards lose to a team with twenty active users.

 No.49

>>47
…. I'm not really proposing to just get a whole lot of dead boards in this too. I'm mostly saying that, if a board shows they can organize well enough to be in, why shouldn't they?

Make them compete against each other ina knockout game to see who will manage the team

 No.94

>>93
Wouldn't that drag on the whole process a bunch?

Like honestly, I too want to have an entire league planned out, but we just gotta see if we can even organize one with 15 boards first. Last time we tried with that basketball cup, everyone was so excited about it but it went nowhere.

First and foremost, I feel we need to be a tad more organized:

1.Brainstorm a bunch of sports titles that have a lot of customization options.
2.Propose to various boards such sports, in an aptly made poll.
3.Once the sport has been decided, we'll choose both the format of the competition and the way we're going to integrate boards - as in, whether they should play solo or organize in small groups.
4.With that out of the way, we'll proceed with dolling up the /icup/ board. You know, stuff like banners related to the competition, team logos, uniforms, faces etc.
5.Polls should be then issued to each of the participating boards, requesting:
a) A list of eligible players;
b) One among various coaches (I think we'd best have two main ones and a sub).
6.With that out of the way, one or more of us should install all the junk related to both running and streaming the events. To avoid the possibility of rigging, a check on the players' skill sets should be done live prior to the matches.
7.That being said, we also need a committee dedicated to both organizing things with the coaches/hosts and to act as "referees" mid stream, to make sure that the correct results are registered and no one attempts to pull any funny stuff.

I would really love to manage /k/'s team but I have to deal with college, but I know a guy who would be a better match. How would we choose who becomes the manager?

 No.98

>>97
That one's a bit trickier

I'd say, let's see how many actually want to join as coaches. If it's less or equal than three people, they can all be on the coaching team (remember, we need to have some subs in the event that people can't make it to a scheduled event). If they exceed that number, I say we let them explain what their tactics are going to play out like, and let the board goers decide via another poll.

I feel like this cup may share the same fate with the ill fated 8cc if I don't throw my full weight behind this. I am downloading PES as we speak and do have modding experience, though not with this game. I also recently got a job that involves being on call and waiting half the time, so my lifestyle of being a useless shit on a computer all day is returning.

I will do all I can to ensure that we have a glorious cup worthy of this board.

Not sure, I havent looked at them too carefully. I know some of them must be preserved, I remember a cup dominated by a few teams that exploited height differences or something, but I'm sure there's some other shit we could try.

I'm also going to try to look into how the 4cc edits the UI and menus of PES and see if we can reverse reverse engineer something of our own out of it.

Any update?

If I remember correctly from 4cc chat FIFA isn't as mod friendly as PES and PES 12 is the best? Winter cup is using PES 14 which is good.

I don't think trying to organize a tournament right off the bat is the best idea.
To build participation and content, I suggest that we strictly stay to scrimmages between boards that have enough content to participate, until there are at least 8 active teams to have a proper tourney.

woops. didn't mean to quote.

 No.279

Just my opinion here, but I think we're getting too caught up in the customization aspect. When the 4cc first started it was just generic players named after board culture/memes playing against other teams with their own roster of culture/memes. All the customization you see in the 4cc now didn't come around until later after games were played and streamed. I don't think the teams even had managers in it's first Winter Cup either - it was just Germanbro letting the AI play against each other while streaming.

Focus on creating teams and rosters first and stream some friendly matches to show that we have the most important aspect of the Cup ready before we start getting fancy with aesthetics.

 No.281

>>279

This. We should lay down a rule set on how the players can be, roster names, stats, who are managers and get it up and running first. Then over time let the teams add their own models. Plus it would be quick and easier this way in case some boards bow out after one tournament.

 No.282

>>279
Agreed. This is what killed 8cc, and we need to stray away from it as much as possible.

How do we come up with rules, though?

 No.283

>>282
Easiest way would be copying or basing icup's rules off of 4cc's.

 No.287

>>269
Yes, we settled on PES since, whichever version we will use, it is most likely to have a lot of customization options already laid out. Besides, I'm not a fan of FIFA's physics, even if they're "realistic" they just look so awkward.

>>272
I'm starting to think this is not the correct way of doing this

We should just choose ourselves which boards we feel like adding up and declare they've been invited into the cup. Asking if they're interested, without providing any sort of proof that the competition is even gonna take place, just seems kind of time consuming.

So I propose we just go with 8 or 16 team we can all agree on. Because, if people were interested in the cup, they'd be discussing it in here already.

>>274
you mean commentating a match? I sound like a faggot but I'm game.

Anyhow, as modding tools go, I remember this website having a lot of them: http://www.pes-patch.com/

Let's just settle on a version of PES before going in, though, ok?

>>276
Yes, that's what I believe would attract the most people. We know for certain that /bane/ is into this, let's just create some more teams by drawing players out of the /8cc/ board and see if it attracts spectators from the other boards.

>>279
I disagree, a bare minimum of customization will add some flavor to otherwise bland matches. AFAIK we can just choose the managers among ourselves for this first competition, and see if future releases will be populated by more spectators. Remember, we're not like kikechan: if we do this, we do it for fun, not for free.

>>281
I actually had a bit of a look at the rules for the 4cc and I feel that we need to change them up a bit so that either we can set up games faster or that we can add some depth to the strategy.

I propose we either shrink down the players to 16, or that we use a slightly altered points system to make stronger players. More on that in later posts though.

269 and 281 fag here. Good PES is confirmed. Do we have a year? and yes, I wouldn't object to rule changes that would speed up set up or put a nice twist on strategy to give some difference between icup and 4cc.

Pipe dream would be best 8 teams of each play in a cup. Anyways.

Definitely we should figure out the base amount of teams we would like to start with, pick the ones that would have the culture for filling the roster and fan base. Then invite/poll if they're interested and go from there. But if a board is able to get enough excitement by themselves more power to them.

As for commentating I'd be interested.

that's partly true, but mostly I'm a lazy piece of shit southerner

anyhow this is what I propose:

the 4cc cup uses some sort of very generalized way to implement players' stats. Basically, they're all mediocre-good with all stats at 77, except:

-the goalie, who is locked at all 70s (and has some extra skills but more on that later)
-two "good" players, who have all 88s
-a godly player with all 99s

and any sort of customization only comes from attributing skills to individual players (for the record, these are either ways the cpu will control the individual player or actual MLG level shit they MAY pull out mid game). There's more shit about height difference or weak feet but we ain't got time for that now.

However, the thing I noticed watching the cups is that about at the end of every match there's just like, 18 players who can't even run anymore doing that skit from the Simpsons' World Cup episode and overall being useless fucks.

I have two ways we could fix this:

1) We could reduce the amount of players from 23 to 16, but keep the amount of skills to be distributed around the same.
Basically, this will speed up the creation process, with the added bonus that even the most useless players still have something to contribute to the team. This might however cause some problems, in that either we let managers create way too overpowered players or we'll lack variety throughout the matches.

2) We keep the 23 players rule, but we let managers choose another two silver players, as well as giving them 10 additional points to distribute on any of their goalkeepers' skills. Basically, this is done to spice up the matches early on, yet keep the substitutions vital to changing the tides of the game. As an additional constraint, we could force the maximum amount of silver players on the field to three.

 No.315

>>314
It really depends on what version of the game you want to use.

 No.316

>>315
You mean, "how much do stats/skills influence the match over the other"?

 No.317

>>316
Yeah, there's no point planning out stats/skills/height stuff until we know what game the tournament will be using. The 4cc used no medal players for PES 2011, GGG and GSBB for PES 2012, GSBB and GGSS for PES 2013 and versions of GGSS for PES 2014. It also depends on what kind of matches you want, i.e. ones with as many goals as possible, ones that are dominated by a couple of players etc.

We should get more people involved and have a debate, perhaps have a look at highlight videos from different 4ccs for comparison or do some test streams. PES 2015 looks like it could be pretty good, but there is a case for the faster and more arcadey games (PES 11, 12 and 13) that I personally find more fun to watch. PES 2014 was interesting when it was fresh and new, but the 4cc has done 5 cups of it in a row now and I think it's time to mix it up a bit. I also think PES 2014 suffers a lot from frustrating AI and samey goals.

Here's a webm of a rather incredible PES 2015 goal.

 No.320

>>314

Option 2 sounds more interesting and could vary things up. Would we limit how many silvers can be the field at once?

>>319
Worth a shot doing it in PES 15 and I believe the 4cc is looking into putting team data in the dlc to reduce crashing. The only downside I see is no more 4 20s. But that's not important, just something fun/funny.

My default is to say do PES 14, because like you said they've been using it for 5 cups now and something use to watching.

 No.321

>>319
I'd say, let's go with PES '13 then. I too like the more arcadey, fast paced action of the older titles over the realistic clipping-thru-the-goal-post new games. It'd be also better since I suppose most of the viewers would enjoy that sort of thing, too.

 No.322

>>319

Man that took a while to get going. The finish was nice though.

>>320

I honestly wouldn't mind using PES 2014 for the first cup or two, just to give people time to figure out how to properly pack the DLC for 15. Plus, yes, the familiarity factor.

 No.323

>>321
PES 12 and 13 are quite similar but do have differences. PES 12 sticks the ball to the feet of players and often locks the gold or silver players in a dribbling animation that makes medal players incredibly dangerous. It's more robotic and less realistic, but often leads to intelligent and fluid play and every goal seems different. PES 2013 doesn't lock the ball to feet, so first touches become more important. PES 2013 has more blooters and some really impressive goals, but a significant quantity of goals are throughballs that lead to a tap in past the keeper. Height abuse started in PES 2013, after never being attempted in 2012. If 2013 is to be used, I recommend the more vanilla versions because later 2013 cups used unnecessary mods that tweaked the ai and make the matches way too fast.

How about we eliminate the Gold/Silver shtick entirely and just let managers choose x silver players, as well as adding 11 to a single stat of all their players?

Anyhow, about the team members, I think we're better off flat out stealing them from the 8cc board. Nothing personal, but I fear that we've almost come to a halt in organizing stuff with other boards, plus I'm fairly sure they won't mind if we use the same roster.

>Anyhow, about the team members, I think we're better off flat out stealing them from the 8cc board.
My main board is /int/, and a lot has changed in our board culture since then. The old roster was still build on 4ch/int/'s board culture. Okay so here's a general idea for anyone to consider for the tools needed for the Cup as well as some things to do to help prepare since I'm assuming we're only using 16 teams and we're running PES15 based on the poll.

1st we'll need logos for every team, I don't know if this is being done but prospective managers should ask their boards or make a logo for their team and have it approved by their respective board.

2nd teams should get an export done for a targeted date once we have the 16 teams rosters chosen and managers authenticated via IP and verification.

3rd once tools are available we should have kits ready for each team (at least one regular kit per team) and not put huge worry on blenders since they're not needed 100% but it would be good to have them. In terms of how to get them on 15 I can probably get info for you all in the future.

But yeah we should probably discuss deadlines for things since it'll help speed up the process, and we should aim for a June/July target date to have the initial 8chan Cup.

Just lurk their wiki and wait to see what their dates are and stream 8cc before or after.
We only have a 16 teams single elimination tourney set-up so far that won't have managers so it's only going to need two days anyways.
Now what we should look into is having the Board Owner make a sticky for the teams to post rosters and positions, as well as possibly cards if we do G-S-S-S-S medals format, for the tourney.
Also we need to scout and decide on a lead commentator in case the streamer is not a good play-by-play man, in that case the streamer can run XSplit and someone else can commentate.

Roles basically are:
a) Make team export and update rosters semi-frequently as competitions end via voting with the board
b) If this ever goes into livemanaging be on skype with the host and submit instructions via private sender to host messages.
c) Promote the team and games through board gamethreads and little events and invitationals you could have to generate interest.

>cards will be unlimited for team
so essentially everyone gets a card?

 No.596

>>592
Yes, now let me throw down some detailed rules.

For player heights, each team can have 1 player of 200-205cm height, 1x(195-199cm), 2x(190-194cm), 6x(185-189cm), 7x(180-184cm), 3x(175-179cm), 2x(170-174cm) and 1x(165-169cm) players.

Medal rules are explained same as before, 99 gold, 88 silver, 77 non-medals and 70 gks.
You get unlimited cards, not counting position player type (Destroyer, Goal Poacher, etc.), GK long throw cards or the Captaincy card for your captain, however non-medals only get 2 cards max, silvers 3 max and golds 4 max. GKs are allowed 0 cards aside from GK long throw.

Other then that you will send strategies to me via exports which are the team saves in PES15 which you make in Data>Export and pull from Documents>KONAMI>PES15>save folder with the save being numbered by which one you saved into during the game.

Once I get the exports that work then I can schedule the games and run a live test. Again these are nothing more then invitationals to give an example on how games will look so expect not the best quality.

Other then that that's pretty much it, managers when your finished please post the link here with your tripcode and I will confirm whether they are working or not and if not I will tell you what needs to be fixed and you may repost a fixed export here on the thread later.

Ehh I'd rather we keep separate from them unless they request it since many people there, from last I checked, seem to not like our existence and would just cause problems. On a collaboration I would personally like to wait a while and if somebody from 4cc wants to contact us then they can do so once we have our feet in the ground.

Alright everyone so it looks like we've finally made it to 16 teams interested and have rosters or are making rosters now! So here's a full list of team allocations to overwrite on English League of PES15:

/a/-North London
/bane/-West Midlands Village
/co/-Lancashire Claret
/furry/-London FC
/gamergamehq/-South Norwood
/int/-Merseyside Blue
/pol/-Yorkshire Orange
/sp/-East Midlands
/v/-Merseyside Red
/tv/-Man Blue
/k/-Manchester United
/monster/-Tyneside
/pone/-North West London
/leftypol/-Hampshire Red
/argentina/-The Potteries
/christian/-Wearside

Next priorities for Team Reps or any anons who go to boards who are participating are to look for streamers on your boards as well as to get your exports done and get your board to make a logo and maybe some kit designs. I'm not too sure when Reluctant_Savior is planning on having the Inaugural Cup, but I think it would be safe to pencil it in for some time around the first couple weeks of June.
But yeah good job everyone and let's keep going strong!

K heres a copy of the basic (shitty) kit tutorial i made a while back on /v/

>>3084447

Shit sorry meant to post it on your post on icup i saw earlier i think.

LONG AND SHITTY TUTORIAL INBOUND

Okay so all the stuffs here
http://implyingrigged.info/wiki/Pro_Evolution_Soccer_2015/Kits
But they did it confusingly as shit

first here's a kit template
https://mega.co.nz/#!OMMgAZIT!MtZE7JqYZlLiTTR8XL4Clm9huXOGZiEcy-Gew_rvGdg

Then you gotta make some texture files and config files like this example (old version of my /v/ configs but functional i think)
http://www.filedropper.com/kits_2

OKAY so to make this type of file you gotta figure out your team id, which is dependent on the team you're replacing. i think there's a post in >>>/icup/1where you should be able to find your board. it'll be like "OH UM THE BOARD /sonicfanfic/ GETS TO REPLACE ZIMBABWE"
So you use this thing, the save editor
https://mega.co.nz/#!PI1RBRYZ!qQ3jfrrf1x0JtolR_0bHSDKN3iLlf1t7J9hZhagaKLE
and find the team you're looking for. to use the editor you have to have edited some shit in PES first so it makes a save file in your documents/konami/save folder, then open EDIT.BIN with the editor.
Once inside, you can get your team ID number and do all that fun tomfoolery with player making but the TEAM ID is what you want

Once you got the id, you gotta edit the textures to match yours. each uniform style has a few files only ones that matter for the basics are the short ones: u103p1.dds, u103p2dds, u103g1.dds. p1 is home, p2 is away, and g1 is goalkeeper. use something like GIMP with a dds plugin and export them as DX1 type dds files or something. the rigging guide explains it. then change the file names of all those files so instead of /v/'s id (103) it's yours!

Then change the bin file names. you also have to open the bin files with either of these programs
https://mega.co.nz/#!fAkHXR7R!lQwnPq22fLdsAAtq0DWC5VrAwMafgy4Iqo3ek-C9GDc
or
https://mega.co.nz/#!OAtyhD7b!3vb4BpBUQTc6Zb14GOmIsFXaDndOC11Ocl-RoD5K-7c
(the second one may be easier? I used the first one though)
In those programs you gotta change the texture file names from u103p1.dds to u(YOURIDHERE)p1.dds or u103p1_name.dds to u(YOURIDHERE)p1.dds You shouldnt have to change most of the other settings in the bin file since i already have them working apart from colour and maybe uniform name styles if youd like? whatever you feel like changing i guess

Do that for all the files and you're almost the fuck there. theres some shit with the uniColor.bin file that i think just makes the icons on maps match your colours, but i don't think that matters with the export itself.

NOW TO GET IT IN DA GAME!

You need to set it up in a folder. I just called it root.
Set the bin files in root\common\character0\model\character\uniform\team\YOURIDHERE
you should have 3 of them
and the textures in
root\common\character0\model\character\uniform\texture
you should have 5(?) for each of the 3 types (I don't think you need all of them actually but I'm a paranoid idiot)

then use this pages tutorial
http://implyingrigged.info/wiki/Pro_Evolution_Soccer_2015/DLC

basically, use the cpk maker on your "root" folder to make a cpk file, throw that file in your PES download folder. Make sure it follows the format from the implying rigged site.

Then use this thing
https://mega.co.nz/#!eNkDQCDQ!EVWWOu04VW-zYCf8X6GK2pAdeEO8tqruo6jkiuPn-I4
and select all the DLC plus your custom dlc. next time PES opens, MAYBE IT'LL ALL WORK

THERE ARE PROBABLY SEVERAL MISTAKES IN THAT TUTORIAL BUT FEEL FREE TO ASK SHIT

So expect them to be done for Tuesday and I'll then upload a full pre-unofficial save and then an actual unofficial save once all the teams get regulation settings sorted out.

Cotton, I think we need a clarification here.

While rewatching the games I noticed that leftypols GK had a significantly higher rating than pones GK. After checking the teams rosters, it appears that leftypol has assigned 77 points to all their GK abilities, while the other teams have assigned 70 points to their GK abilities. Im not sure if that effects the results in any way but it seems like an issue that needs to be addressed. Because you know… rigged.

Tbh. I initally thought you might have misinterpreted the rule. Like you thought about 70 overall rating. But that seems more coincidental than anything since all the abilities are 77.

The issue with our export was more to do with my intention of having more players to choose from for all the positions. It was within rules.

We do need better oversight for compliance with rules though. Points, cards and heights shouldve been checked before the cup for all teams.

I've think I've got a solution.

If we are to discard all results that came from /leftypol/'s matches in totality, because the stats favoured them slightly then the same must with /co/. The fact that /co/ lost is irrelevant as the scores must be rejected in totality.

Therefore, if /leftypol/ is to rematch, then so is /co/.

If we only make /leftypol/ rematch we're being biased against both /co/ and /leftypol/ as /co/ has nothing to gain from that arrangement and neither has /leftypol/ even though the admin in charge of checking the stats takes all blame on his own shoulders.

So I say we let /co/ rematch against /v/ and /k/ and /pone/ against /leftypol/.

The alternative is to not reject the scores of the matches in totality.

As /co/'s match demonstrated, their slight advantage did not land them a victory. Therefore it must be concluded that the advantage is marginal at best.

This leaves us with a possibility where only a few rematches will be necessary.

/k/ lost to /leftypol/ during the kick-offs. Fair enough, in such a scenario, the GK makes a huge difference. That match should definitely be a rematch.

However the 6-3 match of /pone/ versus /leftypol/ hardly had anything to do with the GK. If the difference had been that great, /co/ would have won it's match against /v/.

Therefore, if /co/ is not to rematch /v/, I say that we rematch /k/ and /leftypol/ and If /k/ wins they fight /pol /leftypol/ wins they go on to the semi finals.

My judgement, although it is merely the opinion of an anon is that these are the only two just options. All other's would put the legitimacy of the cup as a whole in jeopardy.

The only /co/ player who had wrong ability stats was Doug Finnie who did not field against /v/ and therefore there were no affected players in the match.

There were goals in the /leftypol/ match that could be called very good saves for a 70 GK and a 77 GK did field so the scenarios are quite different and /co/ and /v/ weren't effected and shouldn't qualify for a rematch.

/co/ had boosted stats and lost. Putting them at a disadvantage compared to their original game does nothing other than creates the potential for a bigger loss. What's more, /co/'s boosted stats were to only one keeper which they didn't even use, according to Cotton.

>>2191

You would be quite surprised what those boosted GK's can do to a scoreline. I know I'm going to be viewed as biased in this, but I firmly believe that /pone/ has a fighting chance to at least take it to benuldies without the /lefty/ boosted GK's.

/lefty/ has to play matches they already won with demoted stats. Making /co/ play again is redundant, as it puts them at a disadvantage. If anything, it sets /v/ up to lose if PES decides to go haywire, which it is prone to do, sadly.

I am sorry, I really like /co/, but the matter is settled. Don't worry, the team will get to play more matches in the near future, I assure you that.

/leftypol/s GKs were boosted and it affected the outcome which is unfair to all teams and replaying the matches is the best equilibrium solution that can be done. /co/ didn't have their match rigged and it was never in favour of any team so no rematch simple as that.

See, that's where you're wrong. Three missed chances due to saves made by a boosted keeper is a HUGE deal, especially given the shots taken/on target ratio /pone/ had.

What I'm saying is, while /lefty/ certainly had the power over /pone/'s defense, /pone/ had just as many opportunities when it came to firing on /lefty/'s keeper.

You'll notice that /pone/'s only goals came from late in the match, and in quick succession. This is because of keeper/defender fatigue, and /pone/ being able to finally get those shots passed a boosted GK.

What's more, we're not even talking about /k/. I'm all for the success of /lefty/, but with a properly-statted GK going into /k/, who they only beat on penalties, /k/ can easily find enough opportunities to beat /lefty/.

I'm looking for what's fair, and what's not redundant. /co/ lost with a regular keeper while having a boosted keeper on the bench. /lefty/ won twice with boosted keepers. The only matches that need to be replayed are /lefty/'s.

Look, we can go back and forth with this but the main contention here is with the /k/ vs /leftypol/ match. Besides the fact that the first half of the penalties was carried out incorrectly, there is serious doubt that the outcome was affected by the different stats. This isnt about punishing /leftypol/.

Talking about /leftypol/ vs /pone/ in the same key as /co/ vs /v/ is silly. The result of that match is null and void because of the previous /k/ vs /leftypol/ match. The reason pone would need a rematch is because the new proposed k vs lefty match might have a different outcome than previously. If /k/ wins, that would automatically mean a new match for /pone/.

that's in the grand tradition of anything a chan has ever done

Incompetent hosts are incompetent.

You had over ducking 8 weeks to check.

>there isn't a real reason to replay /leftypol/ /pone/

Weren't the GK stats also at 77 when they fought /pone/? They need to replay both matches if /leftypol/ wins against /k/ again.

 No.2251

>>2212

I don't think they cheated, I think they just misinterpreted the rules otherwise they would have done something more drastic

in any case, I'm blaming /pone/'s defense

>their first team GK had 77 stats

>Cartoons and Comics

>Did the rosters based on cuckchan cup rules originally

>their 2nd backup GK had 77 stats

Misinterpreted my ass!

Then why didn't the mods fix the export if they noticed?

Exactly. Was it, perchance, intended?

 No.2280

Wait, are you implying the mods are biased towards /leftypol/?

that estonian guy is not a cup mod though

 No.2282

Ah, okay then. That explains it.

 No.2283

>>2280

It wasn't the mods that warned him, It was the fucking /sp/ manager.

Cotton should know better, Save Fixes have always been necessary and he neglected them and didn't bother with ATF shit.

We got good views but it has been a disaster management wise, this cup that is.

 No.2284

>>2261

 No.2285

>>2280

I think they are trying to imply that the mods deliberately ignored the problem so they can disqualify /leftypol/ if it gets too successful.

 No.2286

>>2285

Now, this is the fault of the organizers but, /leftypol/ has been cancer for this cup

You fuckers did nothing but look for drama, and if it's "bantz" then that guy was right "Worst disaster communism did was attempts at humour".

And then you got drama but It wasn't le /pol/ circlejerk shutting down /icup/ because you won two matches by GK stamina, It was because your Frankfruity manager ignored the warning of a different manager ( IT WAS COTTON'S JOB TO DO THIS SHIT BUT STILL IGNORED IT) and went with the same roster

Not only that you entered as the USSC to the == INFINITY CHAN CUP ==, now /v/ is entering as an "alliance as well" as far as anyone is concerned because they are related to so many small boards but YOU ENTERED WITH DIFFERENT CHANS, especially one with the cirnopedos where they pretend to be communist because only fake communists have a sense of humour, I'm sure It would have been United Soviet Socialist Websites if /r/socialism didn't have the SJW "Social Democuck" mods.

Your kind has been nothing but trouble to the cup, I hope /k/ gets the victory it deserved in the first place but couldn't due to your 10% buffed GK and you fuckers get so damn salty that you couldn't get this wonderful chance to bring 8chan together down because we let some "reactionary" boards like /pol/ and /k/.

Well, at least you can do the USSC Cup where you can play 99 GKs and fuck each others asses you want after this one!

Salt: The Post

 No.2289

>>2285

You'd be wrong because I actually like /leftypol/, in fact I like all the boards participating Except maybe /pone/ but I'm impartial about them.

I actually forgot about that post since it was a while ago and I assumed /leftypol/ submited another export with the fixed stats and time went on and I forgot that they didn't send a new one.

It was in general a fuckup by all of us and again we apologize. However remember that it's an event for fun and not a stupid esport and it's not gonna be the end of the world if something dumb happens on anyones behalf. We hope everyone keeps enjoying the games as I right the wrongs tomorrow for the 2 rematches.

 No.2290

To be fair, even I had forgotten about it.

It was over two months ago.

We just need to carry on, fix the issue and learn our lessons.

How many positions are allowed for a player?

Infinite, the rules allow it

You serious?

This is awesome.

 No.2359

>>2358

The rules were less lenient due to the admins want to do less work (yet failed to check anyway)

I found playing Total Football in PES is a disaster so you at most want them stay in the same area so a fullback should be able to play as a wide midfielder and a winger but not all positions
