>Echo looked at the tundra sky as he finished setting up base camp.
>A light snow had begun to fall, and the temperature along with it. he put on his balaclava up to his nose and adjusted his goggles onto his forehead. His Giginox hide wrapped around him tightly, protecting him from the cold.
>He had made some adjustments to the armor, adding a white fur hood and cuffs to not only make it more effective for tundran survival, but also because the "vampire" look of the traditional armor didn't really suit him. He tried to tell the smith at the guild this when he wanted it made but she didn't listen. He had yet to figure out if this was because the Felyne liked vampires or if she was distracted while taking his request. Thinking back he seemed to recall her face being flushed while she stared off into space when he talked to her. Ever since she got "corrupted" her behavior had seemed to change.
>Pushing the thoughts from his head, he quickly refocused on the task at hand.
>He was going out to gather rare minerals in the area. He usually kept anything he could use to upgrade his gear and sold whatever he didn't need.
>not like he could hunt anything fun after what happened to his team.
>finding his thoughts drift off course again he starts loading powder barrels onto a sled.
>pickaxes were all well and good, but TNT was a blast.
>He silently berated himself for making such a bad pun without realizing it.
>with a good six barrels loaded, he made a gear check before heading out.
>Switch axe? Check.
>Whet stone? Check.
>Various potions? Check.
>Lantern with flint&steal? Check.
>Pick axe? Check.
>Some cooked meat and rations? Check.
>Enough tranquilizer and paralyzers to put down a Jhen Mohran? Check.
>He debated taking more, but he didn't plan on staying out too long.
>Satisfied, he pulled his goggles down, his hood up, grabbed the pull rope on the sled, and started marching through the howling wind and the soft snow.
. . .
>Echo tried to hold his hood up with his free hand as he braved the wind and the cold. While he was used to this climate, He had to admit there were still plenty of times when it flat out sucked.
>He stopped to check his map when he saw three baggi wandering. One of them noticed him and hissed a warning to it's comrads.
>Their quick reptile-like feet pattered across the snow as they surrounded him on his 12, 5, and 8 o' clock.
>Echo let out a "tsk" as he dropped the rope to the sled and calmly walked up to the baggi ahead of him.
WHAM
>The baggi whelped as Echo's foot collided with it's jaw full-force, sending it hurtiling in a spinning arc a good 8 meters.
>Eh, he's done better.
>Seeing their comrade go down, the other two creatures hissed a retreat and legged it out of sight, their friend following them shortly after picking himself up.
>Echo snorted and picked up the tow rope of the sled again, continuing on his journey.

>After only about another 30minutes of traveling across the frigid wasteland and 10 minutes of waiting for a Popo herd to pass by, Echo came across a small cave alongside a cliff face. Most caves in the tundra were connected through complex tunnel networks, so he figured starting here was worth a shot. After all, most people were too scared to even go out this far. so he probably didn't have to travel much before finding what he wanted.
>Bending down to light his lantern, he realized there were some pretty big prints in the snow leading into the cave. It looked like something was dragged. He felt slightly uneasy, but it was probably just a young Popo killed by some baggi. While he wasn't totally prepared for a fight, he was still a veteran hunter, and he could hold his own against most of what the tundra had to offer. He sighed and entered the dark cave, dragging his dangerously volatile sled behind him.
>After venturing in only a few hundred meters, he noticed a good spot to mine minerals along the icy cave wall. He placed his lantern down and readied his pick.
>As he was about to make his first swing, he heard a low growl behind him.
>Oh Fuck.
>That wasn't any growl either.
>He knew that was the growl of a Barioth.
>Things were about to get interesting.
>In a fraction of a second he whipped around, over-sized switch axe drawn and at the ready as he glared into the darkness.
>two glowing blue eyes peered back at him.
>he waited for the creature to pounce…
>and waited…
>and waited……
>…What the fuck?
>not breaking eye contact with the creature, he slowly bent down and picked up the lantern.
>light assaulted the dark cave, reflecting off of the snowy floor and icy interior, revealing…
>His heart skipped a beat as It took him a moment to realize what he was seeing.
>It was a Barioth alright. It was on all fours with it's tail wrapping around it's side in a defensive stance, but this one had most definitely undergone some serious corruption. Her front paws/wings hadn't changed too much, though they looked slightly more dexterous if less powerful. Her arms were covered in protective scales up to her elbow, where pearly white flesh became visible. He noted the same seemed to be true for her legs as well. She seemed to sport very defined cat like ears, and her white hair broke into a fiery orange highlight at the tips, with two large sets of strands forming what he guessed was her once prided sabre teeth.
>Most hunters didn't hunt corrupted monsters due to their similarities with humans. Echo liked to consider himself one of those hunters, but right now his back was to a wall, and he had to fight.
>The Barioth roared with fury, or at least attempted to, as her voice cracked and only managed to let out a pained whimper as she collapsed to the floor, huffing.
>Echo let out a stifled laugh. He had to admit it was cute. His face quickly darkened however, as he noticed large gashes across her body.
>Maybe it was because of her human parts, or maybe it was because she was injured, but he felt some compassion for her. He made up his mind that he was going to help this poor creature.
>"Well this is no fun, how do you plan on fighting me like that?" he sighed, as he cautiously approached the now defenseless creature.
>Seeing him approach, the Barioth panicked and started flailing, batting him aside with her claws.
>It didn't really hurt, but it was enough to cause him to lose his footing, and he fell down with a grunt.
>He got out his tranquilizer "bombs" and tossed one gently at the thrashing creature.
>He noted it was probably too much, as the creature seemed to immediately calm down under the cloud of powerful sleeping agents.

>The barioth struggled to keep her eyes open as the agent moved through her body.
>So this was how it ended. . .
>She awoke a few days ago with a completely changed body.
>Her proud strong form was now replaced with a weak, waifish, figure similar to that of a small human.
>While she still had enough strength to hunt, this weaker body wasn't very suitable for defending her territory.
>Other barioth no longer recognized her as rightful ruler of her territory, and attacked.
>She didn't even stand a chance.
>She was humiliated.
>And now here she was. . .
>Exhausted, battered, and bleeding.
>And this masked human was her executioner to do the deed.
>How unfair
>How humiliating
>But this is what happens to the weak.
>This is what happens to failures like her.
>She let out a pitiful whine as the human approached, her vision blurred as tears welled in her eyes. She felt herself rolled onto her back, but all she could was whimper. she had lost all strength to resist her death.
___________
>Echo could feel his cheeks burning underneath his mask.
>He had crossed corrupted monsters before, but they were usually civilized, and more importantly clothed.
>The helpless girl creature before him was completely feral, and very naked.
>But this wasn't the time for that.
>He quickly focused himself and began dressing her wounds.
>She was completely limp now, though she seemed to still be conscious. Her face was slightly flush, her eyes were partially closed, and drool was starting to leak out of her mouth.
>It almost looked like she was enjoying something, strange.
>He decided he had better give her a potion to close up her wounds, though while these were potent with humans, he wasn't sure how well they worked with corrupted monsters.

>She could make out the human's form above her, and could faintly feel his touch. Though the pain was subsiding. Which was for the best as she was sure he was probably just killing her slowly. She had heard stories of how sadistic humans could be.
>But her body felt weird to his touch
>This was a very soft way of torturing someone.
>And another thing, did humans always smell this good?
>The human pushed what must have been a bottle to her lips.
>Not wanting to drown and lacking the strength to spit all of the contents out, she swallowed some of the cool liquid.
>it was probably some human poison, she had heard rumors of bottled human magics before.
>Warmth started to permeate through her body and she felt her wounds close. Confusion started to tug at her mind as the pain finally completely subsided.
>Was this human helping her?
>Why?
>He had nothing to gain from her survival.
>Maybe he was trying to gain her trust so he could do evil painful things to her later!
>Yes! That must be it!
>Devious human, she won't fall for his trickery!
>No matter how good he smelled!

>He grabbed his popo hide blanket from under the barrels on his sled. He draped it over her for the sake of his heart decency. After all, her, uh… "Lady parts" were still the same as a normal human's.
>Goddammit he really had to stop thinking about how cute she looked.
>His work done, he idly sighed as he decided it was time for him to move on. He once again grabbed his sled and re-entered the torrent of howling wind and biting cold.

>Warm.
>That was the barioth's first thought as she was eased back into consciousness.
>Combined with that heavenly smell, this was surely the best way someone could wake up.
>Warmth? Smell? ah, right, there was a human and…
>Suddenly remembering her situation she bolted upright.
>Only to immediately regret it, as she winced in pain.
>That's right, she was injured.
>She lifted up the human smelling animal skin to look at her body.
>The human wrapped her wounds in some fabric, but they seemed to be completely healed. She was forced to admit human magic had its uses.
>However her body was still sore, understandably so, without the human's aid, she most surely would be dead by now.
>Speaking of which, where is he?
>She suddenly went on alert, and surveyed her surroundings, her bright blue eyes piercing the dark.
>All was quiet except for the howling of the wind echoing throughout the cave. There wasn't a living soul save for her.
>So the human left?
>She should feel relieved, but for some reason she couldn't help but feel disappointed, as if she was missing something.
>She idly touched her paw to her lips as her sleepy mind started to think over the past events.
>She was attacked by other barioth.
>She hid.
>She was helped by a human, of all creatures…
>She froze as realization dawned on her.
>The human was now carrying her scent. She had involuntarily made him a target for her pursuers.
>The human was going to pay the price for her weakness.
>That was too unfair. She couldn't accept that, she could never accept that.
>How could she?
>Her pride wouldn't stand for it.
>Tears sprang to her eyes but she quickly wiped them away.
>She still had time to find him.
>She jumped to her feet, ignoring her body's screams of protest.
>She momentarily paused.
>If she found him in time, then what?
>She shook her head, she could figure out that part later.
>She picked up the animal hide, it would make a good excuse so he doesn't get the wrong idea.
>She got one last smell of his scent and focused on it.
>Sweet…
>Running out of the cave she she was filled with a new sense of worry.
>A storm was coming, she could feel it. A creature as powerful as her could survive exposure to a storm for a good period of time, but a human? They wouldn't stand a chance.
>Her heart felt heavy as images of the human, stranded and dying, crossed her mind.
>Pushing the grim picture out of her head, she clutched the hide tightly with her feet and leaped into the air.
>She was going to repay this human.

>The snow was falling harder now.
>After leaving the cave, Echo had been traveling for awhile. He managed to investigate a few more caves, but he didn't really find anything of great value, let alone something he could use his explosives on. But hey, some runs just go that way.
>He idly glanced at the sky as he trudged through the snow and clicked his tongue in annoyance.
>The sky was starting to darken, experience told him a storm would soon be approaching, and he didn't want to be out here when it hit.
>He silently cursed himself for giving the girl his blanket.
>He quickly reversed his course, pulling the sled after him and started calculating in his head how much time he had before the winter storm hit and how long it would take for him to get back to camp.
>His thoughts were interrupted when he heard a sharp roar echo throughout the tundra.
>Shit
>He hurried his pace as he tried to distance himself, but he wasn't fast enough.
>He winced as he heard the roar again, only this time it was deafeningly close.
>He looked up and saw something he really didn't want to.
>A full size adult barioth circling over him.
>He couldn't help himself from feeling a little disappointed at it not being the cute one from earlier, but now definitely wasn't the time for that.
>Echo quickly ditched his sled and sprinted across the ice, diving as the beast overshot it's pounce and crashed down in front of him, using it's powerful tail and claws to swing around on the ice to face him, cutting off his escape.
>Echo sprang to his feet, his switch-axe unfolding with a loud mechanical screech.
>The barioth readied itself for a charge, bending down low and focusing it's power into it's hind legs. Echo noticed this barioth seemed to have had it's left tusk broken recently.
>He smiled to himself as realization dawned on him.
>"So you're the reason she was all roughed up eh? How'd you let her take one of you're teeth?"
>The barioth leapt at him in response, swinging with it's left paw.
>Echo rolled inside it's strike, barely avoiding the blow. As he came out of his roll, he swung his switch-axe in a rising slash, the blade singing with glee as it tore into the beast's belly in a spray of blood.
>The creature roared in pain is leapt away from him, fresh gore coloring the slow.
>Echo quickly braced himself for another strike.
>He had dealt with barioth before, he could deal with this one now.

>A second barioth with large spikes on it's wings dived in on him from his blindspot, breaking his body as the creature's powerful tail slammed into him.
>He was sent tumbling through the snow and he desperately tried to regain his footing, Barely managing to stand in time before Toothy made another leap at him.
>He managed to dodge by the skin of his neck, but he didn't have time to counter before Needles was on the attack again.
>Fuck this was bad, he had to get out of here fast. One barioth was fun but two's pushing his luck.
>What's more is the blizzard was already starting, the icy wind was now almost deafening and the snow was limiting his vision considerably.
>He kept close to Toothy trying to get a hit in before fleeing. He had to slow them down somehow and he hadn't brought any flash bombs. The best hope he had was to injure them and flee into the storm.
>Needles got too excited and leapt at him again, he easily dodged and the two barioth crashed into each other, thrashing and screaming as they clamored over each other for their prey.
>This was his chance.
>And he wasn't going to let it slip by him.
>In a mad dash, Echo folded his switch-axe and put everything he had into his legs.
>The wind pushed him back but he plunged through it.

>And he wasn't going to let anything stop him.
>He could hear the barioth howling after him, starting to give chase.
>He promised that if he made it out of this one he wouldn't give the guild sweetheart anymore shit about her stupid puns.
>God he hated her puns.
>He started to debate if life was even worth living if he had to put up with that.
>His thoughts were interrupted when he was hammered off of his feet, his vision temporarily going blurry from the impact.
>He flew backwards and dug the blade of his axe into the ice to keep him from losing his footing.
>He shed a tear, thinking of how much that must have dulled his beautiful weapon.
>He looked up at his attacker and hope drained from his body.
>Before him was a third barioth, with a nasty scar over it's eye.
>Echo didn't have time to think as he saw an incoming tail out of the corner of his eye.
>His injured body moved too slow
>One of the tail spikes penetrated his heavy gigginox hide, stabbing into his ribs barely missing his lungs. The force of the impact sent him flying, he couldn't tell how far he flew.
>Ground, sky, ground, sky, ground…
>Echo attempted a recovery but it was no use, as claws sheared into his abdomen, his armor managing to keep him from being completely skewered.

>"Fuck I'm really in it this time." he wheezes out.
>He coughed out a pained chuckle, "To think I would die on a boring ass errand run instead of an actual job, what a joke."
>Well, at least he could die with his weapon in hand. Hunters dying on the job wasn't exactly rare, but he truthfully never thought his judgement day would come so quickly, especially not here.
>When reaching for his axe, his hand brushed something.
>He smiled to himself and he groaned as he braced himself on his axe to his feet once more. Bent over and bleeding, holding his chest with one hand and his axe limply with his other, he must have been a real pitiful sight.
>He squinted, trying to see through his shattered, blood spattered goggles. This blizzard didn't help, but he could at least make out the three towering cat-like wyverns before him.

>The girl’s eyes allowed her to peer through the storm of white with hawk-like precision.
>The Human seemed to have traveled a long way; she was starting to feel self-conscious about how long she must have been asleep.
>Hopefully he didn’t witness her in too helpless of a state…
>That would be really embarrassing… Oh god, What if he laughed at her when she found him?
>She would die of embarrassment.
>No, there is no way he would! She was a proud huntress! A mere human has no choice but to bow down and treat her with respect!
>But he really did save her, so she should probably thank him too…
>No one had ever helped her before, so she didn’t exactly know how to thank someone.
>Wait, this was so simple. He saved her life so now she saves his. That way they are even!
>Wait, no, they shouldn’t be even. He was just a mere human! There was nothing ‘’even’’ about them! She should do something extra to show she was much more capable!
>No! Then it would look like she l-liked him or something! Besides shouldn’t she make ‘’him’’ do something if ‘’she’’ was the superior one?
>…But then he might get angry and not like her…
>Whoa, whoa, whoa! What was she talking about? They had only just met!
>He didn’t have to like her yet, she could give him time…
>No, Goddammit! That wasn’t the point! She shouldn’t care what he thinks of her anyway! She was doing this to return a favor, nothing more!
> Finally able to wrestle with her thoughts and insecurities, the barioth focused once again on tracking the human. It was probably foolish to worry about such things now when she had yet to even find him in the first place.
>The strong winds made flying somewhat difficult, and she cursed her new lighter body as she was buffeted about in the blizzard.
>The Storm was starting to cover the hunter’s tracks and the wind was too erratic to reliably track his scent.

>Though the snow left her unharmed, her patience was being tested.
>She briefly glanced around, hoping [he] hadn’t witnessed her mishap.
>Half thankful when finding the coast clear, she quickly draped the hide around her petite shoulders in a cloak, a good length of it dragging across the snow.
>She sniffed the air intently again, then the snow. Finding a feint trace of the man’s scent, she let her instincts steer her through the storm.
>Ice and snow pelted at her body as she navigated the storm, squinting in an attempt to see without getting debris in her eyes.
>On the bright side, it means the chances of the other barioth finding him in the storm were also slim.
>Her positive thoughts were shattered as a wave of fear and nervousness wrapped around her stomach. She stumbled upon a rather fresh depression in the snow.
>Its stench was familiar. It was one of the barioth who attacked her earlier.
>Shit.
>Panic spreading throughout her body, she quickly started following the large, clawed tracks and scrapings. Thoughts running at a million miles a minute, she noticed the tracks moving up to the crest of an icy cliff; a perfect vantage point.
>That’s when she heard the awful sound of rolling thunder.

>A large patch of snow had been blasted clear, leaving a steaming crater of bare dirt with debris scattered throughout the area. It looked like… Burning wood?
>Feeling a small shiver down her spine she turned her attention to the three large bodies lying in the snow.
>She instinctively got down on all fours and lowered her body to the cliff face as much as possible to avoid being seen.
>She recognized them instantly, even if the damage caused to them made it difficult.
>One had its arm blown to bloody rags, its neck and chest torn and bleeding.
>Another seemed to be missing both front claws, its wings were in tatters and its face was pummeled and broken beyond recognition.
>The third one’s wings were torn and battered, with large wooden chunks impaled throughout its body.
>All three lied in the snow, silent and frozen, painting a serene picture.
>With some difficulty, the girl wrenched her gaze from the carnage and settled her eyes upon much smaller fourth body lying in the snow.
>Fear tugged at her mind as she gazed upon the human body, as limp and unmoving as the others.
>Without thinking, she lunged off the cliff face and dived towards the snow drifts below.
>Finesse and appearances now abandoned, she slammed into the ice full force, using her claws to redirect the impact and propel her towards the fallen hunter.
>In a spray of snow she slid up the limp human and covered her mouth in shock.
>To say he looked bad was an understatement. Lying on his side she could see his torso had multiple deep slash and stab wounds, and the same could be said for his arms. Wooden splinters littered his body and his left side seemed to have caught fire.
>She quickly smothered the fire with snow, releasing a sharp hiss as steam billowed from the wound.
>Checking to see if he was alive she pulled down the human’s face mask and removed his bloody, cracked eye-wear.
>Tears sprang to her eyes as she gazed upon the man’s peaceful, yet smug resting smile.
>A smile?
>She was too late. She could feel the man was now only inches from death.
>Yet he was smiling?
>She felt something change in her, a realization.
>Actually she had been different ever since her body changed, not just physically, and she had been ignoring it.
>Starting to cry, she removed and emptied the man’s belts and pouches.
>She was no longer a strong, proud barioth, this much she knew.
>She was now instead a weak, pathetic creature who couldn’t even save a simple human.
>But that wasn’t everything. Only now, in the howling wind and snow, huddling over the man’s body, she realized she was painfully alone.
>Alone
>Choking on her sobs, she started frantically searching for the magic bottles.
>His smile now felt like a mocking grin.
>It was like he was laughing at her for finally losing everything she ever had.
>Losing her identity, her body, her territory, her pride.
>She could adapt and live with that, she secretly knew this ever since she met him.
>But what she lost that hurt the most, was her hope.
>Barioth are loners, so she never had anyone close to her.
>But when she was at her darkest hour, he came along and gave her something wonderful.
>Not only another chance at life, but he showed her the fact that there was someone out there who cared and had filled her heart with something she never realized she needed:
>Warmth.
>Now fully balling, the girl whipped her tail at the ground, producing sharp chunks of ice and rock.
>unable to open the magic bottles on her own, she smashed the neck of a bottle on the debris, pouring its contents all over his body and on his face, letting it trickle between his teeth and down his throat.
>How cruel and unfair did her life have to be?
>Why did this have to happen?
>Anger mixed with her sorrow.
>It was all too sad.
>He couldn’t just show up and treat her like that.
>Only to get killed off because of her own problems.
>It was too unfair.
>How was she supposed to thank him now?
>How was she supposed to save him, win his favor, and enjoy his company?
>How was she supposed to feel warmth again?
>Now wailing with tears pouring down her cheeks, she continued to smash bottles and empty the contents onto his body.
>She refused to accept any of this.
>She wouldn’t be robbed of the one thing she had left.
>She wouldn’t let his man die, and her only hope along with him.
>She would make him take responsibility for everything.
>Tough shit if it was his time, she wasn’t letting him go.
>She would drag him kicking and screaming back to reality.
>And she was going to use his magics to do it.

>Echo drifted in and out of consciousness.
>The first time he woke up it was only for a few moments, and his vision was blurry. But he was sure he saw someone crying. Though, it seemed so strange he couldn’t tell if it was a dream or reality.
>The second time he woke up he was being dragged somewhere, but he didn’t have the strength to move or look around, All he could do was stare at the glassy sky and quickly fell out of consciousness.
>After some time, Echo exited his deep sleep.
>”…uugh….uh?”
>Echo could only softly mumble as he eyes fluttered open, analyzing what he was seeing.
>Before him, just above his face, was a rump.
>His mind had difficulty registering this information.
>oh, right. He was dead.
>Which means he’s in hell.
>Wait, no. This can’t be hell.
>So… he somehow made it to heaven?
>If so, then while it wasn’t what he was expecting, he could certainly get used to it.
>Tearing his eyes from the sight with immense difficulty and force of willpower, he observed his surroundings.
>He was in… a cave?
>Goddammit, he was still in the tundra wasn’t he?
>He felt considerably warm; he noticed that he was wrapped in his popo hide blanket, and his switch axe was laid against the cave wall
>Trying to lift himself up, he immediately learned 3 things
>1. He was shirtless
>2. The naked rump before his eyes belonged to that barioth girl from earlier
>3. That was the most painful Goddamn thing he had ever done in his life.
>The first and third ones were obvious as he lifted his head, but sadly that was all he could do, as he plopped his head back down on the ground and groaned.
>The second one was discovered when the girl lowered her head between her arms over his lower body, peering at him from between her legs upside-down. Once making eye contact, her eyes got wide and she quickly spun herself around under the blanket, bringing her face close to his.
>There was a pause on her face, like she was taking a moment to understand what she was seeing.
>But it was gone in a flash as a mix of joy and relief washed over face, and she wrapped her arms around his neck.
>It all happened so fast Echo didn’t know how to react. She was squeezing a little hard, but as long as she wasn’t trying to kill him he figured he couldn’t complain.
>He then started to feel a warm wetness on his chest.
>She had started to cry, nuzzling her face into his collarbone and tightening her grip.
>Aside from a feint, cute whimper, she stayed completely silent.
>They lied like that for a while, until she seemed to calm down a little.

>Echo mustered the strength to try and push her off to get a good look at her, his muscles crying bloody murder as he sat up.
>”Hey,” he asked in what he attempted to be a gentle tone, “What’s your name? Who are you anyway?”
>”lleeeyyyhhhnn…” She whined, arms outstretched trying to embrace him with her naked body.
>Right, she was a feral.
>She probably had no understanding of common language.
>Chances of monsters being corrupted were low to begin with, and the chances of a newly corrupted monster girl surviving in the wilds were even lower. For some reason, only the female monsters could be corrupted, causing them to just be referred to as “monster girls.” Those that are able to be brought into human society usually have to adapt and learn the language and culture. Yet they have proven to be capable of being productive citizens. However the chances of this happening outside of felynes were slim.
>Unsure of how to proceed and communicate, he figured he could at least establish names.
>keeping her at arm’s length, he tried to ask her again.
>”Name,” he stated as he pointed a finger at her. “What is your ‘’name’’?”
>”lleeeyyyhhhnn!” she whined a little bit louder, arms still outstretched towards him.
>”Guess that’ll work for now,” he sighed. “Okay, ‘’Lynn,’’ said her name with extra emphasis as if it was more for her sake than his. “My name is ‘’Echo.’’ Echo, Lynn.” He said, pointing his finger from himself back to her.
>She stopped pushing and seemed to focus a little more, watching his movements.
>”Echo,” she said as she pointed a claw at herself. “Lynn” She said as she pointed a claw back at him.
>It was adorable; he could feel her voice tug on his heart strings a little.
>”No,” he said in a controlled manner like he was explaining something to a child. “Me, Echo. You, Lynn.” He said, once again pointing.
>She tilted her head to the side, her facial expression blank.
>She pointed to herself. “Lynn,” she stated plainly, then pointed her claw back at him, “Echo.”
>”Yes, That’s right! I’m Echo!” He said, laughing a little as he congratulated her.
>Hearing his praise, her face lit up, and she quickly wrapped her arms around his neck again while his defenses were lowered.
>”Echo, Echo, Echo!” she laughed, pushing him to the ground once more, purring and nuzzling his chest again.
>He had to admit, he really did have a soft spot for her.
>He tried to think back to earlier. If memory served him correctly, he should be dead.
>Which means Lynn here must have saved him.
>Ruffling her hair and scratching her behind her big, cat-like ears he glanced at his equipment next to as she melted like butter.
>All of his vials were gone.
>At the same time his chest piece looked like it was covered in some kind of residue.
>Letting the puzzles pieces fit in place, he wasn’t sure how he should feel.
>On one hand, she had wasted an unnecessary amount of various potions and performance enhancing drinks.
>On the other, she managed to figure out how to save his life with no prior knowledge of medicine or potions and he probably shouldn’t bitch about it.
>But what surprised him the most was her behavior.
>Barioth were usually very prideful creatures, and while he could maybe see her saving him as a form of returning the favor, that didn’t explain her… Clinginess.
>While monster girls were known to be rather affectionate, it was only towards those they had taken a fancy to…
>Stop, he was thinking about this too hard, guys tend to overthink this shit anyways.
>Shaking his head to push the thoughts from his mind, he pushed himself back up, hushing Lynn as she protested when he tried to stand.
>Goddamn it hurt to stand.
>Hobbling over to his gear, he looked at what he could use fire-wise.
>His lantern was beat the hell up, but it looked like he could still use it, miraculously.
>Lynn sat on top of the blanket now, watched him intently as he used his flint and steal to light the lantern, her tail wagging slightly, the tip drawing patterns on the snowy cave floor.
>Satisfied with the light, he set it down next to the blanket as he fell to his knees.
>He felt awfully tired still, and his body was still weak.
>Looking at Lynn, he noted she also looked exhausted; it must have been a lot of work tracking you in that storm, especially after the condition she was in.
>His eyes feeling heavy, and his lantern shedding a little bit of light and warmth, he retreated back under the blanket and Lynn happily followed.
>He could figure things out once he got enough rest.

Sure! I'm glad there is someone else reading this. But I'll have to write this when I'm not as tired. I wrote the last bits late at night and it really shows, looking it back over it seems I changed tenses a few times, overlooked multiple word omissions, and even accidentally switched to the second-person perspective once at the end. I've also been failing to format correctly with italic words.

>She knew she had said it before, but this time Lynn was positive this was the best way to wake up.
>She inhaled deeply as she eased her eyes open, taking in Echo’s scent while her body shared his warmth.
>What a wonderful feeling.
>She lied there for a few minutes, arms wrapped around his.
>Yeah, she could get used to this.
>Careful not to disturb him, she slipped out from under Echo’s animal hide and stretched her arms and legs.
>Okay, she returned the favor, now her next step would be to win him over.
>Actually now that she thought about it, he killed 3 barioth. This not only allowed her to travel and hunt in the area relatively freely but also avenged her previous injuries.
>She couldn’t help but smile, this fight may be more difficult then she thought. She had yet another thing to repay him for. If she was supposed to gain his favor then she would really have to go all out.
>She gazed over the form of the sleeping man, determination permeating throughout her body.
>Now that she was psyched up, she decided to go hunting.
>If she could show she could provide for him, he would surely consider keeping her around.
>Keeping her around, huh?
>Her pride bit back at the thought, but she knew it was the truth.
>Heading outside to the entrance, she marked her territory by relieving herself in the snow.
>Even if it was a bit of a bluff, she couldn’t have anything attacking Echo while she was out. Most creatures know to stay away from a barioth’s territory.
>It was dark out, but that was no problem for her. Looking up at the shimmering sky, it seemed the storm had passed for now. The sky was a beautiful display of swirling greens and other various soft glowing colors. She had never really appreciated the sky’s beauty before she was tainted.
>Though, she didn’t really seem to think of it as being tainted, more like it was an opportunity.
>Making one last glance back into the cave, she leapt into the glowing sky and took flight.

>Echo awoke as he felt a tugging on his arm.
>Five more minutes, he was cold.
>He was shaken again, a little stronger this time.
>"uugh…" he protested quietly, wishing desperately to retreat back into the dream world.
>He felt a claw softly poke his cheek.
>Fine, what is it?
>Turning his head, he rubbed his bleary eyes to see a familiar face before him.
>It was Lynn, naked as always, with what looked to be a fresh fish in her mouth.
>She leaned her head down and placed the fish before him, beaming proudly, tail wagging furiously.
>Echo looked at the fish, then back at Lynn. Her face was filled with expectation.
>While the thought was endearing that she attempted to give him breakfast in bed, raw fish wasn’t exactly appealing.
>Trying to weave his way out of the situation, his sleepy mind came up with a plan.
>"How about I pay you back for helping me instead? Breakfast can be on me before I head out." Echo said before remembering that Lynn probably couldn’t understand him.
>Getting up from underneath the blanket, he crawled his way over to his gear. Going through his pack, he found some cooked aptonoth meat that he brought just in case.
>Taking out a slab of meat, he noticed it caught Lynn’s attention.
>She wore a look of irritation, then interest, then back to irritation.
>Holding out the meat to Lynn, she seemed conflicted, but eventually reluctantly accepted the meat.
>She sniffed the food first carefully, and then gave it a small nibble. In an instant, she started feverishly gnawing and tearing at the meat, as if she hadn’t eaten in days.
>Echo couldn’t help but laugh. He could cook a little but he wasn’t that good. Though cooked food probably tasted better then whatever raw stuff she ate.
>Noticing his amusement, Lynn suddenly made a serious expression, pushing the fish towards him.
>Geeze, he really didn’t want to eat that.
>"Tell ya’ what, Lynn? How about I take this with me back to camp, and eat it after I cook it?" he said, trying his best to sound reassuring.
>Try as he might, she still couldn’t understand him.
>He took the fish and put it in his bag, and ate his own share of aptonoth meat, to Lynn’s now very visible frustration.
>Head in hands, she waited for Echo to stop eating.
>Looks like she really wanted him to eat that fish. He felt a little guilty now, but he figured it was better than the possibility of getting sick, he was a bit of a picky eater.
>Feeling chills on his exposed skin, Echo finally set about putting his armor back on.
>His armor stank from all the dried potions on it, and the blood didn’t help either.
>His face mask had a lot of blood on it too, and it was hard to see out of his goggles.
>Though it was a small price to pay in comparison to his life, he couldn’t help but feel annoyed, he would have to clean these at camp before heading back to town.
>Slinging his switch axe, rolling up the popo blanket, and grabbing his lantern, he headed for the entrance of the cave. Lynn followed behind him, her tail hovering over the ground, swaying from side to side as she walked.
>Turning to her, he weighed his options.
>She could probably survive a few more months on her own, maybe even a year or two.
>But if any larger monsters came to challenge her she probably wouldn’t survive. She probably didn’t even know how to deal with predators, since she lived her whole life being on top of the food chain.
>So should he bring her with him?
>introducing a monster girl into society sounded like a pain. He wasn’t even sure how he would go about that. He was a hunter, not a babysitter.
>Guess he could just dump her off at the guild and see if anyone would be willing would take her. The guild was always looking for more help, and it was probably for the best, he had enough things to worry about and he probably wouldn’t be able to take proper care of her.
>Having come to a conclusion, he reached out and ruffled Lynn’s hair
>She closed her eyes and pushed her head against his hand.
>God she was adorable.
>Though he really had to do something about her clothing situation, he probably had a cloak back at camp, and maybe an extra set of undergarments.
>Setting that aside, he looked up at the sky.
>It was pretty dark, but it looked like the sun was going to rise in maybe an hour.
>Holding up his lantern and map he figured out his general location, and plotted a course.
>Satisfied, he ruffled Lynn’s hair once more. "Alright Lynn, let’s get moving." He said smiling, pulling up his face mask and heading out into the tundra once more.

>Echo and Lynn traveled together in silence as the sun began peak over the horizon.
>Which was understandable, since Lynn didn’t know how to speak outside of their names.
>She kept staring at him as they made their way, and while echo didn’t mind at first, it was starting to unnerve him.
>Peak…
>He glanced back at her, and she immediately looked away.
>Peak…
>He glanced again, only for the same result.
>Peak…
>This time he whipped around to face her.
>She wasn’t quick enough. Her face turned red and she yelped as she leapt into the air, earning a hearty chuckle from Echo.
>Poor thing is probably just curious, and he couldn’t blame her.
>Redirecting his thoughts as Lynn came back down for a clumsy landing; Echo looked at his map again.
>camp should only be a few more minutes away, they were really close.
>"Echo!" Lynn shouted, pointing ahead of them as she pulled herself out of the snow and ran over.
>She took Echo by the hand and dragged him excitedly around a few bends in the snow.
>And there they were, his basecamp. It was small but cozy.
>To his right, resting between some rocks against the mountain, was a small hunting cabin he had built awhile back with the help of some other hunters.
>To his left was a tent he mostly used for storage, in there was crates full of supplies if he ever needed them. Past the tent was a dock along a partially frozen stream that ran alongside camp.
>In the center was a large fire pit, he used that mostly for cooking but out here it was best to have all the heat you could get.
>Lynn walked around camp, eyes wide with curiosity.
>Letting her go, Echo racked his brain.
>Okay, order of business:
>1. Light fires and lamps
>2. Sharpen axe
>3. Wash clothes
>4. Get Lynn clothes
>5. Feed popo
>In the back of camp Echo had left his cart and popo tethered, they shouldn’t be starving yet, but it was probably a good idea to keep them happy.
>His train of thought was derailed as he heard a crash.
>He turned in time to see Lynn scamper out of the storage tent full speed, then turn and get down on all fours, hoisting her rump in the air and tail wagging.
>How did she…?
>Scratch that.
>1. Get Lynn clothes
>2. Everything else

>Ignoring Lynn’s antics as best he could, Echo ducked inside the storage tent, and began rummaging around through some crates Lynn had knocked over.
>Extra blankets, spare cloth, hats…
>He finally came across some heavy briefs, a tube top, and an extra cloak. It wasn’t ideal but it was all he had and he didn’t exactly have need for any of those right now. Echo took out his carving knife and made a hole in the briefs for Lynn’s tail.
>Satisfied with his work, he emerged from the tent to see Lynn terrorizing the popo.
>She circled around them growling as they backed up to their tether post, whining in fear.
>Lynn’s ears perked up as he called out to her, and she trotted over to him, eyes looking up at him expectantly.
>He walked over to the cabin, and stepped inside, Lynn following suit.
>Echo lifted up his lantern and hung it on a hook by the door, reaching into his bag.
>He found a match, and lit the iron chandelier hanging over the bed, filling the cabin with warm light.
>It was really small, the cabin sported a bed, a fireplace, and a bathroom, but that was really it.
>He didn’t need to use it too much aside from sleeping.
>Once he had enough light, he handed Lynn her clothes and turned around for her to change.
>Silence filled the cabin, the howling wind brushing against the wooden walls made Echo feel uneasy.
>”Echo?” Lynn broke the silence, looking at the clothing in confusion, head tilting to the side.
>Right, she didn’t know how to put on clothes.
>He turned back to face her, trying his best to maintain his composure.
>”Clothing.” He stated plainly, pantomiming putting on the clothes as a hint. “Get dressed, put on the ‘’clothing’’.”
>Lynn nodded, and then proceeded to put the underwear on her head.
>”Goddammit” Echo sighed, pulling the briefs off of Lynn’s head.
>He grabbed the tube-top, and held it over her.
>”Up,” he commanded, gesturing for the girl to raise her arms.
>Lynn complied, and He pushed down her wings so her arms could fit through the straps, sliding the meager piece of clothing over her supple breasts.
>”Good, that part’s done,” Echo sighed, trying to figure out if he could avoid having to do the next step himself.
>”Good?” Lynn replied, she must have heard him use that word a few times by now.
>”um… yeah, good. It’s like when you do something write or something, or if something isn’t bad I guess.”
>Flawless explanation
>Lynn looked up at him in confusion, head tilted to the side, like her deep blue eyes were trying to read him.
>Without really thinking, he scratched her behind the ears. “Good,” he repeated, “Lynn is good.”
>Realizing she had finally done something right, Lynn purred and eased into his hand. She had seemed to really enjoy his praise.
>She took the briefs and tried her best to figure out how to put them on.
>After a few awkward minutes of stumbling and falling, Lynn was able to dress herself.
>Echo congratulated her once she was finished, putting the cloak around her.
>After she settled, for a few minutes he tried to teach Lynn a few words, she eventually yawned and curled up on the bed. Guess they could continue this later.
>Looking out the window and seeing it was mid-morning, Echo decided to head back out and attend to his other duties.

well since you asked for here it goes but don't expect anything amazing this is my first attempt at a greentext story
>I'm a monster hunter, you know the one who kills the big wyverns and use thier skin for weapons and armor.
>but if there is something that I love more than hunting is fishing.
>since I was raise in moga my passion for fishing seems obvious seeing as it was a village close to the ocean.
>hell that might as well be why I wanted to hunt monsters as well.
>since "there's always a bigger fish" like they say.
>Anyways like I said I love fishing I have never miss or failed a fishing request in my life.
>well… that's not true anymore.
>I've been having a bad streak with fishing quests and the reason is one simple word.
>"Plesioth"
>a big fish wyvern that is pretty infamous for many hunter due to it's odd behavior, power and size.
>I even heard that it's hips are the deadliest part of it's body or was it the water beam? I can't remember correctly that part.
>like I was saying, two days ago I was just fishing some fish for a request I was asked for the village like any other day.
>I decided to not wear armor that day since there weren't reports of active big monsters or ludroths in the coast area this week.
>This was my first big mistake
>I was caught by suprise by this gigantic creature who charge at me knocking me out cold.
>not only that, when I wake up the damn thing eat all the resources I was going to deliver and got away with it.
>A mix of anger and disappointment fuel me to no end I wasn't to give up that easily.
>and I certainly will not disappoint the village for a simple mistake like that.
>after I calmed down a bit, my thought changed to a more positive perspective.
>"everything was going to go better for tommorrow it was just one bad day" I thought.
>oh how little did I know…
>yesterday I was prepared with full ludroth armor and my trusty pair of dual blades in case of another face to face combat.
>I was certain that stench of fish will attract the plesioth like last time.
>I kept my ears and my eyes open to see if I could see or hear anything out of place.
>It didn't seemed that It was going to show up today.
>I decided to concentrate in fishing instead after a while.
>after some catches I got everything and then some, I was happy with what I got.
>I let out a big sigh of satisfaction.
>this was my second big mistake
>In that very moment I was hit by a high preasure water beam in the chest that soffocated me and again knocked me out.
>I was able to stay up a little more unlike last time.
>I only could only see the blurry silhoutte of the beast that has been eating my fish.
>In that moment I thought I saw something "off" about the monsters figure, but maybe it was because I was about to faint, but I was convinced now that it was a plesioth.
>after another forced beauty sleep I woke up and saw the same situation, all the fish I caught was gone.
>it didn't help when I got back to the village.
>the local guild sweetheart tried to cheer me up with some puns.
>fish puns.
>I don't know what hurt me more that day, my pride or the horrible puns she made that evening.
>and here I am today in the same coast of the island more prepared than ever.
>after doing some reaserch on plesioth yesterday, I discovered something that would give me the upper hand this time
>apparently it's possible to fish out a plesioth out of the water with it's favorite food: Frogs"
>this was it, my revenge against the very creature that made for two consecutive days a simple request a nightmare"
>this time the creature was against my strongest skill: fishing, this time I'll not fail.

>the creature seemed it couldn't get enough of the frog and finally go for it
>it finally happen, the creature fell for the bait.
>with a big grind on my face I screamed with passion "GOTCHA BITCH!" and pull the reel with full force.
>the struggle seemed to be equal but I knew I had the advantage no matter how stronger or fast the monstrousus fish was.
>the creature finally couldn't keep up and fly out of the water and fell on the dry ground, now it was time to take my pride back but…
>before I let out my dual blades I notice something "off" about the creature.
>no, rather almost everything was "off" with this plesioth!.
>it had a fin on it's back, a tail, fin wings and fish scales in parts of it's body like any other plesioth
>but the rest of its anatomy was completely different it was more like one of a female human
>the plesioth girl was still bouncing on the ground like… well a fish on the ground
>I started to hesitate, she looked human but it was still a monster I didn't know what do.
>I simply said under my breath "what. the. hell?"
>the plesioth girl finally got up from her hopeless state and turn around and look directly at the hunter
>then I got a better look at the weird fish girl.
>there were two things caught my attention.
> the first was her torso, while her chest wasn't that developed, but her hips looked amazing almost give her an hourglass figure followed by her big and smooth legs that ended in fish scales they seemed smooth as well.
> the other was her head, it was the most particular part of her body while she had a human head and face and had green-ish short hair but there was a little fin coming out of the top of her head
>her eyes seemed pure white, some scales cover her face like an eye mask for some reason, I found this detail rather cute
>the plesioth girl started to stared intensly at the hunter while breathing constantly like she was desperate or annoyed
>I didn't know what to do, I still couldn't belived the creature, girl, whatever it was infront of me.
>and her figure was rather distracting and arousing for some reason, luckly my spongy armor made my sweating less noticeable.

>after I took another look at her it seemed that the she was annoyed by the hook stuck in her lip
>As I realize this, I didn't know what driven me to do this, but I approached the fish girl carefully
>I was face to face with the girl, it seemed that she was very single minded, beause it took her few secounds to realize that I was in front of her
>I was about to take out the hook of her lip
> but she started to back out after this realization and I missed the chance to take out the hook
>it seemed that getting close to her might scare her off, she looks rather shy
>I thought for a moment: "maybe this was the reason she always sneak up from me"
>"she always would sneak attack him to get his haul of fish"
>"maybe because she wasn't like the others of her species she needed to find other ways to feed herself?"
>after this thoughts cross my mind, I started to feel bad for the poor girl
>"maybe she's still hungry", this thought quickly pass throught my mind and gave me an idea.
>I check my pouch if I had another frog and luckly I did.
>this time when I approached the girl as I offered the frog
>the girl slowly started to approached me, like last time the scent of the moist and deliciuous frog drive her crazy once again.
>as she was getting ready to take a big bite of the frog, I acted quickly and detached the hook from her lip
>she whinned a bit when I did the act, but after that she realized what I did, she didn't mind that much and grab the frog with its mouth
>she looked at me very eagerly as it started to munch and almost eat the whole frog in a single bite.
>"It seemed that she is starting to have a liking on me" I thought
>I approach the girl to pet her head like she was some kind of poogie or something
>she flinch a little when I touched her head but once again she didn't seemed to mind after that
>"for a troblemaker she was rather cute" I thought
>the fin in her head seemed a very sensible part of her head but she looked like it like the way carresed that part
>I became infautaed by her cuteness, "she was no monster, she simply is a shy creature" I thought while enjoying petting her suprinsingly smooth hair.
>I continue to do this as she finishes her well deserved dinner.
>that was my third and final mistake
>as I was day dreaming the girl back up a bit as I was left confused
>I came back into reality only to be welcome with a tailslap that fling me like a ragdoll in mid-air
>once I met the floor I was once again knocked out
>as I regain conciousness I started to remember what had happen.
>I standed back up enraged by what happened
>I get my blades ready and I started to look around for the fish faced bastard
>to my suprised I was welcome by a bulk of freashly caught fish.
>to a closer inspection they all seemed to have bite marks.
>but something else caught my attention.
>it was the plesioth girl, she was floating in the ocean once again.
>she looked at me and this time she gave me a smile with it's sharp teeth.
>and maybe it was just me she also seemed to be blushing?.
>"can fish even blush?" was a short thought that pass throught my mind.
>she dived back into the water and swim away until I couldn't see a trace of her.
>after this weird experience I put all the fish in my pouch and started to walk back to the village.
>even after what happened, I still couldn't organize my ideas correctly, do hybrid monster-human exist?, why would she tried to knock me out again and then help me out?, was she really that shy?.
>I took a moment and then just leave it at that.
>at least this week of fishing was going to be more interesting having someone like her around it was getting boring fishing alone.

that's something I was actually struggling with this story and also editing certain parts of it since I tried to change the perspective to a third person during the fishing and final part at first but I found it unecessary so I tried to change it back to the normal first person narrative.
anyways, thanks for reading it.
it was my intention to at least try it and have at least some people reading it and enjoy it.
who knows? maybe after doing this I might actually be able to do a pseudo-monster hunter monster girls encyclopedia with enough effort and time
I might start with the raptors of the series for some lizardgirls goodness

>After a little while, Lynn awoke from her nap.
>Glancing out the windows, it seemed to be mid-afternoon.
>Not really wanting to get up, she lied there and collected her thoughts.
>Echo had given her clothes, which she guessed was a good thing, as it showed he was starting to see her akin to a human girl. He even seemed to look at her now when he addressed her. Though these felt like minor victories.
>Her last plan had fallen through though.
>She failed to take into account the fact that humans had different eating habits, making her look foolish and uncaring.
>She had knocked over some of his things when she was preemptively checking the camp for intruders.
>She really hoped he wasn’t mad about that.
>Or mad about her interrogating the popo, when she thought they were trespassing on his territory. She had forgotten humans usually outsource to other creatures for work.
>It just seemed like she couldn’t help herself around him. She tried her best to behave in a dignified manner, but in the end she always ended up either overdoing things, or being too careless.
>It was like his scent and presence was both exciting and relaxing at the same time, it somehow made her feel nervous.
>Lynn let out a deep sigh.
>If she didn’t do something soon she would probably be thrown away.
>Her best bet was to learn human language so as to communicate with Echo, as that should surely increase her worth considerably.
>But it seemed like that could take some time, even if she tried really hard.
>And she may not even have that kind of time, Echo would probably return to the human dwellings soon.
>Her depressing thoughts were interrupted as her stomach growled.
>Sighing, she got up from the bed, and stretched.
>Guess she should go see what Echo was up to.
>After a little bit of trial and error Lynn successfully opened the door to the cabin and walked outside.

>Surveying the camp, her eyes rested upon Echo, who was sitting on the dock next to a fire for warmth, though he still looked a little cold. He seemed to be rubbing a stone against his weapon.
>She had to admit that thing looked pretty terrifying, the size was preposterous for a human and it looked awfully sharp.
>She walked over to him and noticed his armor sitting on racks drying.
>Looks like he had washed off the magics she used.
>Hearing her approach, he looked up from his weapon, his gaze meeting hers.
>She broke eye contact as her eyes wondered onto his half naked body, her cheeks feeling hot.
>She didn’t bother to get a good look at him earlier since she was too worried about his health, but now that he was only wearing furry undergarments, his body seemed alluring.
>"Hey Lynn," He said, "How was your nap?"
>Though she didn’t catch all of it, she could understand he was giving her a greeting, and she silently nodded in return.
>Parts of his skin looked soft and smooth, while other parts looked battered and rugged, proof of his standing experience as a warrior. He bore a scar running diagonally across his toned abdomen, and marks along his sturdy chest that hadn’t seemed to heal yet from his last fight.
>But the most notable thing was a large burn mark stretching across the left side of his body from his waist to his shoulder.
>While it looked painful, it somehow accentuated his muscles and pale skin.
>Echo followed her eyes to the wound. "Ah, yeah, that. Looks like some of my armor caught fire from my fight with your friends; gigginox hide tends to do that, heheh…" He said, gesturing to the large burn mark.
>"Pretty ugly huh? These wounds will heal, though probably not all the way." He sighed.
>"Ugly?" Lynn asked.
>"Yeah, ugly. Something bad, unattractive, not good to look at, not pretty." Echo explained.
>She kind of got the idea, she heard him use the word pretty to describe the sky earlier, though the way he used it just now didn’t make sense.
>"Echo say Pretty ugly?" Lynn asked in confusion.
>"Ah… y-yeah, the word pretty can be used to say if something is nice to look at, but also in terms of degree. An example would be to say if I’m pretty hungry,’ that would mean I’m very hungry."
>She didn’t really get it, but she understood it wasn’t a contradiction.

>"But hey, it’s not like women thought I was handsome anyway," He mused as he turned back to his weapon.
>"Hand-some?" Lynn asked.
>"It’s what you call a guy if you think he’s nice to look at. pretty is what you use if you think a girl is nice to look at." Echo sighed wistfully, trying his best to explain things in an easy to grasp manner.
>Lynn nodded, though she wished he would use fewer words.
>"Hand-some. Is man look good. Pretty. Is girl look good." She stated for confirmation
>"yeah, you got it." Echo said, leaning towards the axe, inspecting the finer details of the blade.
>Lynn reached out and ran a hand across the burn gently, and another holding Echo’s cheek, causing him to flinch.
>As she did this, she gazed into Echo’s eyes, causing him to get flustered.
>She thought he was very handsome, to top it off he was a worthy warrior and hunter. The marks on his body were proof of that.
>Did human women decide their mates based on other standards?
>To her, those were signs of a worthy mate…
>Her face felt so hot she could have sworn steam was erupting from her ears.
>W-W-What was she thinking?
>"Hey," Echo coughed, trying to hide his discomfort by looking away.
>Lynn quickly noticed their close position and backed away.
>"I figured you would be hungry so I cooked some fish for ya’," he said, holding out a cooked fish on a stick, still not looking at her.
>She accepted it graciously, glad to change the subject, and began gnawing on her new gift, savoring the flavor.
>When she was finished, she noticed Echo had put his gigginox hide back on, as well as a new pair of goggles and a clean mask that went up to his nose.
>"Alright Lynn, I’m going out, I’ll be back soon." He sighed as he slung his axe across his back.
>Not really understanding what he said, she followed him to the edge of camp where he turned around and spoke plainly to her.
>"Echo. Go. Come back later." He said while trying to make gestures to explain himself.
>"Lynn. Get. Food." He said, pointing to the river.
>Now that Lynn could understand, even if it bothered her to be spoken to like a hatchling.
>Lynn silently smiled and nodded, happy to finally be of some use, she ran over to the dock and started looking for fish in the nearly frozen stream.

speaking of a full of monster girls, I just started writing the pseudo-encyclopedia and I have hard time giving the other raptors like gendrome and Iodrome to make them different from velocidrome.
I already have the "great" trio cover up on what I can do with them.
so far this is what I have, keep in mind that this is not the organized version and I left out some misc. information.
>velocidrome & veliciprey(lizard girl body type):mostly mercenaries, hunters or scavangers that act more for needs, most of them are very cold and strict even after hunting specially the leader, expect to be dominated, gangraped and a little bit injured(because of thier long claws), careful with these ones
>great jaggi & jaggia(lizardgirl body type):similar to velociprey in terms of profession (hunters, scavangers etc.) but suprisingly more organized and the pack acts more like a family (in otherwords the great jaggi act more mother-like and a little harsh at times, the jaggia act more like onee-chans and imoutos) and threat thier new rape victim new family member as a brother or even a father, expect more cuddles and warm feelings during sex with these ones but don't expect that they will be submissive at first, they will gang rape you once in a while even if you are part of the family
this is what I have in mind so far any other ideas for other monsters will be great.

>The mid-afternoon sun shined down on the freshly fallen snow.
>Echo didn’t really mind, his tinted goggles protected him from the glare, but he still preferred cloudy weather.
>The wind seemed to be calm today, giving a peaceful breeze occasionally stirring snow.
>No baggi, no popo, nothin’.
>Nothing stirred in the white tundra.
>Probably for the best, he reasoned. It was easier to appreciate the icy landscape this way.
>He had set out to find those barioth corpses. He was still a hunter after all and only a fool would pass up three barioth.
>He decided not to bring Lynn with, since he didn’t know how well she could handle barioth corpses. Which brought up an interesting question, did she consider herself a barioth or a human?
>He would have to ask her at some point once she learns enough words.
>Trying to recall his route, he eventually came across the area he recognized as where he got attacked.
>Sure enough, there were the bodies, partially buried from the blizzard.
>Quickening his step, he jogged over to the first one and brushed off as much snow as he could.
>His heart sank as he inspected the damage the blast had inflinced, it didn’t seem like he could salvage a whole lot from this one.
>Never the less, he took out his carving knife, and set to work
. . .
>It was a descent haul, there was a lot of damage done but overall considering he set out for some ore and got three barioth worth of carvings he couldn’t really complain. And hey, he also found a monster girl to boot.
>What a fucked up trip.
>Resting against one of the corpses and looking up at the sky, Echo saw the sun was setting.
>He should probably get back by nightfall.
>"Guess I have Lynn to babysit, after all." He groaned, picking himself up.
>He would go back to town, drop Lynn off at the guild, sell or stash his haul, and maybe check and see if there were some small one man jobs.
>For some reason the thought of letting go of Lynn made him feel uneasy.
>It’s not that she wouldn’t be in good hands; the guild was a very trustworthy group of people.
>Besides, the two of them had different paths to travel; in a few days’ time he would be back to hunting and putting his life on the line while she would probably be attending speaking classes and getting help adjusting to society.
>It’s almost a shame he wouldn’t be there to witness it really. Lynn would probably pick up the language quickly, but he could see her having difficulty adjusting to the human lifestyle or society.
>After all, he was pretty sure she didn’t understand the value of clothing yet.
>He chuckled to himself.
>But hey, if she couldn’t find a job the guild would take her. She could always join the Guild Sweethearts and be shipped off somewhere to manage quests for other hunters.
>The pay may not be the best but she could make due.
>Maybe she’ll meet a nice guy settle down somewhere…
>That thought left a bad taste in his mouth, though he couldn’t really figure out why.
>He had no right to be jealous, he would probably be away too often to handle a relationship, and it’s not like anyone was ever interested in him before, so there shouldn’t be any reason now.
>Yeah, she was better off in the care of someone else.
>Having convinced himself, Echo made his way back to camp.

>Lynn stood before the fruits of her labor with her hands on her hips, beaming with pride.
>She managed to catch enough fish to feed them for a week. If that didn’t show how capable she was she didn’t know what did.
>She had only fallen in three times to boot, Echo would be so proud of her!
>She even found containers for the fish!
>Echo seemed to waste a lot of space by keeping a bunch of half-full crates. So she emptied one crate into the other, giving her a free one to put the fish in.
>Maybe Echo would scratch her ears again as a reward!
>Or maybe he would-
>Her thoughts were interrupted as she heard footsteps coming around the bend approaching the camp.
>Doing her best to bottle up her excitement, she set the crate of fish down
>A figure rounded the corner and made its way into camp under the light of a full moon.
>The sun had only set recently, but it had gotten dark quick.
>"Hey Lynn, I’m back." Echo said as walked over to her, stepping into the light of the camp.
>The camp had lanterns hanging from posts and were strung all around the perimeter, keeping it well-lit and warding off animals.
>"Did ya’ catch anything, Lynn?" Echo asked as he rested his goggles on his forehead and pulled his facemask down.
>Lynn’s instincts screamed at her to do a flying tackle, but she resisted with all of her might.
>She could only stifle a "Y-Yes…" as she stared at her feet, kicking the snow shyly.
>Her face felt hot and she couldn’t keep her tail from wagging.
>What was happening to her? She usually felt nervous around Echo but this was a new level.
>"Hmm?" Echo looked at Lynn’s coy behavior then down at the crate full of fish in front of her.
>Her zeal may have led her to overdo it a bit.
>Echo looked back up at her and smiled, ruffling her hair and scratching her ears as he praised her.
>"Good job Lynn! You sure caught a lot, huh?"
>Lynn purred as she pushed her head against his hand, tail now thrashing violently.
>He praised her! This all felt soooo good.
>More!
MORE!
Lynn buried her face into Echo’s chest, pushing him back. He stumbled as he tried to keep his balance.
>"O-Okay Lynn, I’m happy to see you too." Echo said nervously.
>She didn’t hear him; she was basking in his scent, arms wrapped around his back. He felt really warm, and she purred loudly as she nuzzled his chest.
>This was bliss
>She could be like this forever.
>Lynn was snapped out of her trance as her tail knocked the crate of fish over into the fire with a loud thud and a sizzling noise.
>She yelped as she came back to reality, throwing herself off of echo and scampering into the storage tent for safety as she tried to collect herself and hide her embarrassment.

>"Aw, fuck!" Echo exclaimed, as Lynn sped off.
>Kicking the crate back over and pulling what fish he could salvage with his hands, he sprinted into the cabin and shortly emerged with some tongs.
>It wasn’t too bad, the fist didn’t seem to burn too bad and he could probably just wash off the soot and cook them.
>Crisis averted.
>He turned and looked at Lynn, Who was poking her head out of the storage tent, eyes teary.
>"It’s ok Lynn, it’s not that bad." He reassured her, kneeling down and sticking the fish, hanging them over the fire. It seemed like Lynn had already cleaned the fish.
>When he was done, he looked back over his shoulder, Lynn was still watching him, but she seemed to have somewhat calmed down.
>He called out to her.
>"Hey Lynn, come on over." Echo said, gesturing to the Cabin. "Let’s get inside while this cooks."
>She hesitantly stepped out of the tent, and walked over to him, though she was still staring at the ground as she walked.
>He couldn’t help but notice how feminine she looked as she approached, the cloak she wore hid her body fairly well but her tail still swayed behind her with her step.
>As they stepped inside, Echo breathed a sigh of relief, glad to be in shelter. He went over to the fireplace and lit it with little difficulty, throwing some dry logs onto it.
>Lynn stood at the door, quietly staring at the floor.
>Something was off about her tonight. He felt like there was some trivial piece of information he was forgetting.

>While she didn’t seem as focused as normal, it was at least an improvement.
>After a while Echo went back outside with two plates.
>He quickly returned with some fish, and got out two mugs of Hako Beer.
>Lynn accepted her food silently with a nod, and slowly at her food, not looking at him.
>Geeze, what was with her?
>They ate in awkward silence until Echo turned to her.
>"Would you like seconds, Lynn?"
>Lynn stared into her mug and nodded. Taking a small sip, a shiver ran through her body.
>"Alright then, It will probably be a good idea to eat a lot now, we’re heading back to town tomorrow morning. There we can get you situated with the guild." he said, picking himself up.

>She hated the thought of that, being kept around, like she was some kind of useless pet.
>But it was the truth; she had nothing to offer him.
>She was clumsy and weak. She couldn’t speak and owned no territory. She was going to be thrown into the human world now.

I had a lot of fun with it once I got a hang of the controls and learned how everything worked. A lot of people say monster hunter is for a certain group of people, so I dunno.
Though to be fair after awhile I started hunting with friends, but I never minded going back to single player if they weren't around.
If you got anyone to play with then I would obviously recommend trying to get them to join the hunt. Otherwise I would just recommend trying to learn the controls and monster weak points.

>"Eh*hic*koe…" She mumbled, dragging herself ever closer.
>From a distance, her eyes looked blank. However now that she was closer, Echo noticed an unnerving level of desperation in them.

>This was bad! Bad bad bad!
>Her grip was strong, and her unflinching stare was extremely disturbing.
>"Ah! Lynn what the hell’s gotten into you?" Echo gasped in surprise as she increased her grip.
>"Eh*hic*ko, Shtay. With Lynn…" She mumbled in response, her voice completely devoid of emotion as she tried to pull him towards the bed.
>It was at that moment Echo finally remembered.
>He remembered that while monster girls were known for having strong libidos, the light of a full moon made their mating instincts run wild.
>Not only that, but he had only thrown fuel into the fire by giving Lynn alcohol, effectively destroying what little self-control she probably had left.
> But, why him?
>Monster girls only attacked those they harbored feelings for.
>Deciding that now wasn’t the time for this, Echo summoned all of his strength to push Lynn off of him.
>Surprised by the sudden level of force, Lynn was thrown back onto the bed, rising slowly and shambling towards him once more, her pace slightly quickening and her breath becoming heavier.
>Using this as his chance to escape, Echo flung open the door and flat out sprinted to the supply tent.
>Finding a crate labeled “Tranquilizer” he threw off the lid and grabbed a round bomblet without looking, rushing outside the tent to see Lynn just outside the cabin door.
>She was stumbling towards him, eyes still wide and staring.
>After gaging distance, Echo activated and threw the round bomblet towards Lynn.
>As he saw the bomb leave his hand, Echo realized he had made a terrible mistake.
>What he threw was not a tranq bomb, but was in fact, a flash bomb.
>What the fuck was a flash bomb doing in his tranq crate?
>He suddenly remembered that Lynn had an empty crate to put the fish in earlier.
>He didn’t have any extra crates.
>Well he didn't have time to figure this out.
>This was going to get ugly real fast.
>Turning away and covering his ears, Echo prepared himself as best he could for what he knew would come next.
>Lynn didn’t even know what hit her.

eh. looking back on these posts I decided I'm not happy with them. Maybe it has something to do with me writing at 4 in the morning.
I'll probably re-write this when it goes to infinity. Or maybe later today.
It also seems I mixed up flash bombs and sonic bombs, so there is that.

welp, I was trying to make entries of raptors for the monhun girls psuedo-encyclopedia and I ended up writing entries for the elite four from monster hunter X (Dinovaldo, Gamuto, Tamamitsune, Raizex) I hope you guys like it.
Dinovaldo
Species:brute wyvern
body type:lizard man
Characteristics:black horns, fire throat, sharp teeth, extremely long and sword-like tail
diet:carnivore, wild animals, human semen
personality: strong-willed, bold, violent, devoted.
social capabilities: possible
a species of brute wyvern known to not only for being really powerful but also very smart.
they are known for thier ability to master almost any sharp weapon, but they rather use thier own tails as thier weapon making it harder predict thier move patterns during fights and making it worse with thier fire breathing abilities.
usually during mating season some of them will try to hunt down human males to satisfy thier sexual urges, there have been rare cases when some of them will be keep the male and since they feel a strong attachment to them, if one of them sees a hunter that strikes thier fancy, they will immedietly challenge them to a fight even if the hunter doesn't want to, if the dinovaldo is the victorious one they will do the same like any other human and are more likely to keep them around if they gave a good fight but if the hunter is the victor, the have the option to command leave him alone or consider him as her hunting partner this will develop thier bond with the hunter until is so strong that they will consider it as her husband but it might take sometime.
in society:
dinovaldo while known for being strong warriors and most likely have jobs as hunters or elite guards.
there are extremely rare cases of dinovaldo's prefering more calmer lives in villages or towns being blacksmiths thanks to thier knownlage of sharp weapons and sharpening abilities the most likely reason they decided to have this job to spend more time with thier husbands that they are very close to.
Extra facts:
*a dinovaldo will only let thier husband to sharpen her tail, they find it erotic and arousing for some reason.
*dinovaldo's can have very bad temper and most likely will bite or sharp thier tail multiple times to calm themselfs.
*while they have a diet for drinking human semen, the true purpose of the diet is to make a lubricant, apparently the human semen mixed with thier saliva makes a powerful lubricant for the sharpening for thier tail sword, we aren't sure how is this possible yet. but we can confirm that they have amzaing skill using thier mouths considering thier sharp fangs and fire throat.
Extra note:
the encyclopedia recommends that when having sexual relationships with a dinovaldo DO NOT DO IT FROM BEHIND, there have been serveal reports of many people getting injured or almost killed during sexual intercourse with inexpirience dinovaldos not able to control thier tail properly, we cannot stress enough this fact.
It might be a little unpolished but I hope you guys like it I still encourage some of you do entries as well.
I still hope some drawfag pick up these entries to illustrate them
the next entry will be gamuto

Sorry, I didn't see this.
Right now I'm re-writing the last post.
If the move is on christmas, I will try to post more before then.

as promised here's the next entry being Gamuto the Giant Beast itself!
well… not so beastly now, but you get the idea.
like always I hope you guys enjoy it.
Gamuto
Species:Fanged beast
Body type:Centaur
Characteristics:thick blue and red fur on lower half, fluffy tail, hard head piece shell and tusks, HUGE.
Diet:omnivorus, (prefers Seed plants).
Personality:Docile, Gentle, Calm.
social capabilities:likely
this giant creature is known by it's brutal streangh and highly territorial tendecies, but since thier corruption into monster girls they have become more docile and had an incresed curiousity for humans, making them some sort of mountain rangers, many reports that had encounters with this massive creatures have been from people that got lost or were in peril in snowy regions getting rescued or saved by them, giving them the nickname "the maiden of the frozen land".
if they encounther a human male that strikes thier fancy they will offer thier lower half as a temporal refuge against the cold weather but in true this is for another reason, once the male is inside the underbelly of the lower half of the gamuto where most of the heat is concentrated, she will tease the human verbally and use thier own body heat and fur to arouse him until they give in and end up having sex.
In society:due to thier size and strengh and resistance for cold they usually help as transportation for many travelers and tourist to traverse the most dangerous cold regions in the world and suprisingly they get contracted to be maidens by some rich families, mainly to do heavy tasks and be bodyguards for them, but some gamuto stay as housewifes in some small towns to thier beloveds even if the size might give some complications for normal duties like cleaning and cooking.
Extra facts:
*just like dinovaldo, gamuto are extremely intelligent and have more of an easy time learning the human language and adapt to thier culture.
*while they have thick fur in the lower half of thier bodies the upper half does not
only having hair, suprisingly enough the upper body skin is more resistant to cold than it looks, so expect giant warm hugs as well if you have a gamuto as a wife.
*giving a gamuto a plant seed (thier favorite) is considered a great gift of appreacietion, the bigger the more please they will be
*gamuto is considered one of the largest monster girls discovered so far and they also have the biggest breast size of all the monster girls known so far.
* Mammoth pussy
I have to admit gamuto was one I didn't have in mind what would be like if it was a monster girl at the begining but after looking it again I think the centaur body type was the best option maybe because I wanted to emphizes more the giantess aspect of it.
expect to see the last entries tomorrow being tama and raizex

Just wanted to say I'm not dead!
I tried to write a lot more of this but unfortunately my laptop underwent a horrible incident on Christmas eve, preventing me from posting/working on any Christmas content I had planned.
Without getting into the details, the keyboard, along with many other functions, no longer work, and the computer is now prone to crashing without warning.
I am now attempting to write more with an old busted up $10 keyboard, but the 'a' and 'd' keys are mashed in, making typing difficult to pull off without typos. I'm sorry, but there is bound to be some awful typos from now on. I will do my best to catch them, but I probably wont get all of them.
On top of that, It seems I can no longer delete my old posts, so I hope people will just ignore it. If a mod is happening to read this, I kindly ask that you take the last part of the story down.
I sincerely apologize for the rough update record, and I hope you all had a merry Christmas.
>The moon bathed Echo in light as he balanced the fish on the two wooden plates.
>Looking up, he felt uneasy.
>He couldn’t take his mind off Lynn.
>The nagging feeling that he was forgetting something was getting stronger.
>He just couldn’t figure her out. She seemed to be fine earlier today, but now she started acting all weird.
>Was it because of the fish? It was a possibility, but she was acting weird before the incident.
>It’s not like he knew her for very long, and he didn’t know much when it came to women, but he would like to think he could at least understand that something was bothering her.
>Funny, how he had begun to think of her more as a woman now rather than a monster.
>He sighed wistfully as he approached the cabin door. Everything would probably work itself out tomorrow, for now he should just enjoy the time he has with Lynn.
>Using his elbow to turn the door handle, he leaned into the door, pushing it open.
>As he stepped through the doorway, darkness greeted him.
>Indeed, all of the candles, lanterns, and chandelier were no longer shedding their comforting warmth, leaving the room completely dark except for the small fire by the bed and the moonlight pouring in through the windows.
>”Lynn?” Echo called out, placing the wooden plates on a small counter next to the doorway. He closed the door behind him waited for a reply.
>Silence. Okay, this was kinda weird.
>Peering into the darkness, he found a pair of deep glowing blue eyes staring back at him.
>”Lynn?” Echo murmured. “What did you do to the lights?” He asked in a nervous tone, glancing at a freshly severed candle sitting by the window.
>Warning alarms started blaring in his mind as the atmosphere was suddenly thick with tension.
>Acting shy or weird was one thing, but slicing up his lights was another thing entirely.
>The eyes got closer, and Lynn slowly stepped into the moon light.
>The light of the moon reflected off of her shimmering white hair, gently caressing her soft pale skin and accentuating her waifish figure.
>Her arms lied limply at her sides, not even attempting to cover her bare chest or womanhood, making Echo’s cheeks feel hot.
>He struggled to find a safe place to look, fumbling his words as he addressed her.
>”W-What are you doing? Why did you t-take off your clothes?” Echo choked out, trying to grasp the situation.
>Something was wrong here, very, very wrong.
>Lynn walked towards him slowly. Though instead of a walk, it was more of a limp.
>No, that wasn’t it. It was more like she was in a trance, shambling towards him like a zombie, eyes fixed on him, unwavering, unblinking.

>"Eh*hic*koe…" She mumbled as she dragged herself closer.
>From a distance, her eyes looked blank. However now that she was closer, Echo noticed an unnerving level of desperation in them.
>A creepy combination of vacancy and desire that sent a chill down his spine.
>He couldn’t move. He didn’t know how to react to this. He had never been in a situation like this before.
>Fighting huge monsters was one thing, but a crazy woman was another.
____
>Cross.
>Over.
>The Line.
____
>Now within arm’s reach, Lynn grabbed onto Echo tightly, pulling her body in close to his.
>Her grip was strong, and her unflinching stare was extremely disturbing.
>"Ah! Lynn what the hell’s gotten into you?" Echo gasped in surprise as she pulled her face close his.
>"Eh*hic*ko, Shtay. With Lynn…" She mumbled in response, her voice was completely devoid of emotion as she moved one of her hands behind his head.
>In an instant, Lynn pulled his face towards hers, locking their lips together.
>Echo’s eyes went wide as Lynn’s tongue assaulted the inside of his mouth, kissing him deeply.
>Too fast, this was all happening too fast.
>Echo pulled away, trying his best to shake off the shock of what just happened
>Lynn still held him tightly, looking up at him blankly with a glimmering trail of saliva trailing from her soft lips.
>Letting it all sink in, Echo finally pieced everything together.
>Monster girls were known for having strong libidos. He never really payed much attention to them since he was always more focused on his career than finding a wife, but he had heard stories in bars of how the light of a full moon made their mating instincts run wild, causing even the shyest of girls to aggressively court or even attack men they harbored feelings for.
>It seemed he was now witnessing a text book example first-hand. While Lynn seemed to have been controlling herself earlier, it seemed the alchohol he had given her had now destroyed what little self-control she had left.
> Wait a minute, this didn’t make any sense.
>Monster girls only attacked those they harbored feelings for.
>This has to be wrong, Lynn was probably just confused, and that was all.
>No one had ever had those kinds of feelings for him, and it made no sense for them to start to now.
>Having once again convinced himself, Echo summoned all of his strength to push Lynn off of him.
>Her grip wasn’t as strong as a full sized monster, but damn she was strong.
>Surprised by the sudden eruption of force, Lynn was thrown back onto the bed, rising slowly and shambling towards him once more, her pace slightly quickening and her breath becoming heavier.
>Using this as his chance, Echo spun and flung open the door open, flat out sprinting to the supply tent.
>Throwing aside everything in his way, he found a crate labeled “Tranquilizer” he threw off the lid. Grabbing a round bomblet without looking, he rushed outside the tent to see Lynn just outside the cabin door.
>She was stumbling towards him, eyes still wide and staring.
>While this seemed like an extreme measure, she was scaring him, and he couldn’t think of anything more efficient to diffuse the situation.
>He silently apologized to Lynn as he armed the bomblet.
>After gaging distance, Echo threw the round container towards Lynn.
>As he saw the bomb leave his hand, Echo realized he had made a terrible mistake.
>What he threw was not a tranq bomb, but was in fact, a flash bomb.
>He suddenly remembered that Lynn had an empty crate to put the fish in earlier.
>He didn’t have any extra crates.
>This was going to get ugly real fast.
>Turning away and shielding his eyes, Echo prepared himself as best he could for what he knew would come next.
>Lynn didn’t even know what hit her.
>In an instant, a the bomblet emitted a blinding flash, lighting up the camp like a small sun, the light bouncing off the snow only making the effect more intense.
>Echo turned back around to see Lynn flailing on the ground, clutching at her eyes and screeching in pain.
>As much as it pained him to see her like this, his hunter instincts told him that if there was ever a time to get out of here, it would be now.

>Echo ran as fast as he could out of the camp back into the tundran night.
>He didn’t have time to stop for his equipment; all he focused on right now was putting distance between him and the deranged Lynn.
>He could still hear Lynn’s howls from the camp, the effect was powerful but only temporary, and her eyes would heal soon.
>Farther.
>Farther.
>Still not far enough.
>He had to get to a cave. If he stayed outside she could find him from the air.
>He hated to admit it, but he was probably outmatched. He wasn’t confident enough to calm down a raging Barioth without harming her.
>He subconsciously reached for the handle of his axe.
>He always preferred fight over flight, but he really didn’t want to hurt her.
>He got his bearings straight he looked around, then up at the stars.
>Damn, he wasn’t far out enough, and his legs were already starting to feel heavy.
>While he was in good shape, he hadn’t properly rested from earlier, and the fish he just ate was starting to make his stomach cramp.
>He slowed down to a halt to catch his breath, listening to the night air.
>Silence. Nothing stirred.
>No wind.
>Nothing.
>Only the sound of his own breath.
>Never before had the tundra felt so ominous.
WHERE ECHO?!?!
>The silence was shattered as Lynn’s voice screamed through the wasteland, her voice filled with rage and fury.
>Cursing to himself, Echo instinctively lowered himself to the ground, frantically searching for cover.
>He quickly located a small trench like tunnel in between two huge mountains of ice, it was only about a few meters wide.
>Adrenalin now pumping through his veins, Echo dashed through the snow, diving in between a crack in the cliff wall.
>Not long after, he heard a large crash outside the trench entrance.
>Against his better judgement, he inched his head out to sneak a peek.
>In his previous position, he now saw Lynn pulling herself out of a mound of snow, shaking the powder off of her body as she sniffed the air.
>He retreated back before she could notice him, praying she would go away.
>Her footsteps were audible in the silence of the tundran night, and she was drawing closer.
>The crunching snow beneath her talons were getting uncomfortably close.
>She was at the trench entrance now.
>Echo didn’t dare move.
>He stared out of the small crevice, expecting Lynn to pull him out at any moment.
>He held his breath as he saw Lynn’s shadow on the opposite trench wall, oh god, she found him.
>Lynn was just in view now, sniffing the air intently.
>Echo felt his heart stop. He didn’t move, he didn’t breathe, he was completely motionless.
>Lynn tilted her head back and howled into the air with an ear piercing shriek.
ECHOOOO?!?!!?
>She then leaped out of sight, her scampering footsteps running further down the trench.
>He waited for what felt like an eternity before the sound of her howls and footsteps had completely disappeared.
>Finally able to breathe again, Echo decided he should get moving, as she would probably double back on his scent and find him.
>He carefully left his cover and stepped back into the trench, looking from side to side.
>The coast was clear.
>He stretched himself out as he planned his next move.
>He should double back to camp, hoard some equipment and board himself up in the cabin.
>He could probably also get a paralyzing trap, But he wasn’t sure if Lynn could set it off, and even then there was the possibility of it permanently damaging her, since those things were meant to stop full size monsters.
>His thoughts were cut short as a chunk of ice rolled down the trench walls and stopped at his feet.
>Feeling his blood chill, Echo whipped around to see Lynn standing on top of the trench wall, only about five or six meters above him.
>Lynn’s eyes locked with his, instead of their usual gentle blue they were now a torrent of crimson.
>She jabbed a claw towards him and displayed her sharp teeth as she screeched.

Here we go, 5am addition! I figured I would post it even if it would be lost in the move.
>”Aww fuck.” Echo muttered, turning to run further into the trench.
>He soon lost hope of a clean escape however, as he noticed that Lynn was easily keeping pace alongside him, running on the ledge and keeping him in her peripheral vision.
>Her talons let her move on the ice and snow unhindered, so he had no hope of outrunning her.
>And while he desperately wanted to double back to camp, Lynn would probably pounce him as soon as he got into open ground.
>He would have to confront her as he exited the trench; he was really out of options at this point.
>As he exited the trench, Lynn leapt off the icy cliff, extending her wings into a glide.
>Having predicted the pounce, Echo suddenly halted at the entrance, letting Lynn overshoot and crash into a snow dune face first.
>Landing never seemed to be her forte. It would have been hilarious if he wasn’t so far up shit-creek.
>However Lynn quickly recovered, pulling herself out of the snow and whirling around in one fluid motion.
>”C’mon Lynn, cut it out alrea-“Echo’s words were cut off as Lynn charged with a bounding swipe, aimed at his left side.
>Echo just managed to roll out of the way, backing away quickly to try and get some distance.
>It may have looked like an easy to read move but in reality she had just forced him away from the protection of the trench.
>He was now in open ground with no escape.
>And she had the mobility advantage.
>He didn’t have any extra equipment.
>And she didn’t seem to be willing to talk.
>There was only one thing Echo could do to defend himself.
>And it was something he wished he wouldn’t have to.
>It really was such a shame.
>Echo reached for the handle of his switch axe, and with a metallic cry, brought it to bear against Lynn.
>Now he will be hers!
>Soon she will pin him down,
and love him tons!
>She won’t let anything get in her way!
>She won’t let herself be alone!
>Lynn circled around her target counter-clockwise, trying to stay to his left, where the burns had yet to fully heal.
>He had his human weapon drawn now, but she was already too wound up to really notice or care.
>This was all she could do.
>There was no other way.
>Lynn was salivating just looking at him.
>She couldn’t hold back anymore.
>She was ready to give him her everything.
12f3ee No.123620
>>123619
>Lynn suddenly pounced at him again with even greater ferocity.
>It happened so fast Echo barely reacted in time.
>He slammed the pommel into Lynn’s gut, knocking the wind out of her and sending her light frame flying back.
>However she managed to strike his burn, causing him to gasp in pain and stagger his footing.
>Wasting no time, Lynn recovered from the blow in a backwards summersault and slid into a standing position, her talons digging into the snow.
>She lowered herself into a crouch and tilted her head back.
>Echo tried to roll, but the pain in his side kept him from moving in time.
>Seizing her chance, Lynn fired, spitting a ball of ice towards the wounded hunter.
>It landed at Echo’s feet, swallowing him up as it detonated into a violent torrent of wind.
>Ice and snow encased his body, if he hadn’t been wearing his armor he surely would have gotten near instant frost bite.
>The snow formed around his body in a ball shape, sticking his arms to his sides and giving him a look akin to a snowman.
>He only had a few seconds of struggling before he was punched off of his feet by a full body tackle-hug from Lynn, using her body and the ice in combination to pin him to the ground.
>Struggling desperately to break free, Echo tried to pull his arms out of the ice, hearing it start to crack.
>Stalling for time, he tried to speak with his attacker once again.
>Echo gazed up at his assailant, hoping to find any trace of reason still left in her head.
>”Damn it, Lynn-“he once again was cut off as she held his cheek and pulled down his gator mask.
>He winced as she kissed her way up his neck to his forehead.
>Her saliva chilled his skin as it lay bare to the tundran elements.
>He didn’t even know how to feel about this turn of events, on one hand it was comically cute, and on the other she was still completely berserk.
>He felt the ice around his arms crack a little bit more as he struggled, he had to hold out.
>Lynn continued to wildly shower him with smooches, cooing and purring in delight at the chance to finally vent her feelings.
>Come on.
>Just a little bit more.
>He wasn’t sure if his heart could take much more.
>With one final effort, Echo shattered his icy restraints and threw his attacker off of him.
>He quickly sprang to his feet, readying his blade towards Lynn who had retreated to a safe distance and began circling again.
>Her facial expression and body language were focused, giving him her complete undivided attention.
>He huffed and focused on her movements, looking for any tells.
>Damn, breaking that ice had taken a lot of his strength, he probably wouldn’t be able to do that too many more times before being exhausted.
>He couldn’t help but smile to himself.
>Lynn just topped his list for the strangest hunts he’s ever been on.
>She had backed off before he could counter, so at least she wasn’t taking him lightly.
>Her plan probably relied on whittling him down before going in for the kill.
>A true to form hunting tactic, Echo couldn’t help but feel a little more respect towards her.
>However, even if he didn’t have any of his other hunting gear, he wasn’t going to go down without a fight.
12f3ee No.123621
>>123620
> A good fight always got him all psyched up, and Lynn’s movements and sudden finesse showed she was a worthy opponent. Even if her… attacks weren’t too damaging, they seemed more against his will to resist her charms rather than an attempt to physically harm him.
>He probably couldn’t afford to go easy on her, but at the same time he didn’t want to hurt her.
>He refocused as Lynn suddenly charged.
>Echo half-heartedly swung his axe with the flat of the blade at Lynn, trying his best not to seriously hurt her.
>Lynn used her superior grip to her advantage, quickly bounding out of the way only to shoulder check back into him, striking his burn wound again.
>Echo grunted in pain, sliding back from the impact.
>He barely managed to roll out of the way in time as Lynn made a follow up pounce.
>Echo instinctively countered, rushing at Lynn and swinging his axe sideways so the blade wouldn’t cut her.
>Lynn was caught off guard and the axe connected with her arm, but it didn’t seem to have any effect.
>She quickly jumped off to the side and transitioned into a bounding charge, jumping from side to side in an attempt to confuse him.
>It almost worked, as he had just managed to block her in time as she collided with the side of his axe.
>Trying to counter, Echo tried to throw a punch or a grab, but Lynn kicked off his Axe and flew into the air.
>Damn she was fast! Fighting her off without hurting her was proving to be more difficult than he had originally thought.
>Lynn fired a series of ice balls, driving Echo back to the base of the tall cliff as the tornados of ice threatened to encapsulate him.
>She followed up with a dive, howling as she crashed into the snow as Echo rolled out of the way.
>Not wasting the opportunity, Echo charged her as she picked herself back up out of the snow.
>Lynn hissed and slashed at the ground with her tail, throwing ice and snow in his eyes.
>While the goggles kept him from being blinded, it still caused him to falter in his charge.
>seeing her opening, Lynn jumped to his side, and moved in close.
>Gritting his teeth, Echo tightly grasped weapon’s handle and swung.
>Lynn barely danced out of the way of the blow, as the axe screamed past her.
>She was now behind him, but she didn’t have him yet!
>Hearing her dive at him from behind, Echo spun, flipped the latch on his weapon and swung his sword now with no longer any thought of her safety.
>It was another bait.
>Lynn soared over the swing, over his head, and onto the side of the cliff face.
>She then kicked off of the cliff face into a pounce, burying her face into his chest as he turned around.

>They fell to the ice with a crash, Lynn stripped the weapon out of his hand mid swing, causing it to stick into the cliff face next to them.
>"…"
>-"…"
>They both sat there in silence just looking at each other under the beauty of the moon.
>It was probably only a few seconds, but time seemed to have stopped for the two hunters as she pressed her naked body against him.
>Lynn raised a hand to his cheek, and broke the silence.
>"Echo. Think Lynn serious." She stated with a cunning smile.
>"What?" Echo looked up at her confused, but glad he was finally able to talk to her.
>"Echo. joke first. Then. Serious." Lynn explained, her breath was heavy, and she spoke in between gasps.
>Oh, she was talking about how he wasn’t fighting seriously except for that last swing.
>It was a little scary how well he could understand her despite her lack of speaking ability.
>Echo tried to reply but Lynn was once again hysterical, as she held his hand, giggling to herself with glee.
>While she did that with one hand, she attempted to take off his armor with the other.
>Lucky for him she didn’t know how.
>Lynn’s breath got even heavier as she became frustrated, clawing and twisting at the various belts and locks keeping the hide on his body.
>Releasing his hand, she clawed at her hair and shrieked as her rage peaked.
Echo is Lynn’s! Give Echo to Lynn!
>Shit, she was still in crazy mode.
>It was only a matter of time, however.
>Lynn would eventually find a way to get what she wants.
>He no longer really had much fight left in him either.
>The ice attack he suffered earlier coupled with all of that running round had really sapped his stamina.
>He was sure getting violated by Lynn would kill him at this point.
>And she clearly didn’t care.
>He eyed the sword next to him.
>He could get out from under her, but it would be a gamble.
>Not only that, but nothing would change if he didn’t start fighting seriously
>He hated the idea of hurting Lynn.
>Who was he kidding; one good hit and he could easily kill her.
>But at this point it was him or her, and while he wasn’t the kind to hunt monster girls, he was out of options.
>Lynn was too busy trying to figure out his armor to pay him any attention.
>Stretching his arm out, Echo’s fingers just barely managed to hit the activation switch on the sword stuck in the ice.
>The sword began humming with power as fire erupted around the blade.
>Elemental discharge.
>Lynn turned to see the smoldering blade, her rage replaced by confusion.
>Echo wiggled under her to get closer to the blade, grasping the handle and grimacing in preparation for what he knew would come next.
>As the sword reached a critical level of energy,
>The cliff face exploded.

>Echo gripped his sword as it blasted free from the ice.
>The force of the explosion blew Lynn right off of him, sending her rolling through the snow.
>The blade almost leapt right out of his hands, but experience kept his grip.
>Looking up, the beautiful night sky was now intruded upon.
>The lights and stars were blocked out as an avalanche of rock, ice, and snow came crashing down towards him.
>Echo cursed to himself as he tried to roll out of the way, but he could see now that he wasn’t going to make it.
>He had forgotten that due to the previous storm there was a lot of buildup.
>Well, it was a stupid gamble to begin with, but he would rather die with his dignity intact.
>That was all he ever really had actually, that and his job.
>Sure he had enough money and stories to last the rest of his life thanks to all the crazy shit he’s done, but life just felt empty now that he was working alone.
>As the debris closed in, he turned his head to look at Lynn one last time.
>She had picked herself up to her knees, eyes glued to his.
>They had turned back to their gentle blue color, though they were wide with fear as she reached out a hand towards him.
>He couldn’t help but smile
>Yeah, that was all he needed.
>That look.
>He didn’t need recognition or fame,
>fortune or property,
>all he needed was someone to show that they cared.
>Funny, he had been doing this song and dance for so long,
>and he hadn’t figured it out until now.
>What a joke.
>With his heart at ease, the veteran hunter was buried by the earth.
>“Echo…?”
>Lynn’s voice failed her as she could only manage a whisper.
>Her arm was still outstretched as she sat there on her knees.
>Her mind was still coping with the situation.
>She was so close to him, and now he was so far away again.
>No.
>Not again.
>She was alone again.
>Not again, not again, not again, not again…
>Lynn screamed into the night as her insecurities and rage once again overcame her sanity.

>The pile of debris was massive, but that didn’t stop her.
>Lynn furiously clawed through the snow, slashing with her tail to clear any large rocks.
”ECHO NO RUN AGAIN! GIVE ECHO TO LYNN!”
>She kept digging continuously for what must have only been a few minutes before her muscles screamed out for oxygen.
>She ignored them and kept digging, guilt and desperation driving her onwards.
>Eventually however, her body quit out on her, and she could no longer move.
>The gravity of the situation clutched at her heart, causing her to keel over in grief.
>Humans were weak creatures; he may not have survived that.
>Was death really preferable to being with her?
>She silently wept on her knees, the strength to wail having already left her body.
>Pretty pathetic, huh?
>All she had ever done since she met Echo, was cry.
>And here she was, crying again.
>She looked up at the full moon, her teary red eyes full of hate for the unfair universe.
>Maybe she just wasn’t cut out for this life.
…
>Well, it would probably drain all of his oxygen but not doing it would probably leave him just as dead.
>Echo flicked the activation switch on his sword again, wincing as the snow around him hissed and evaporated to steam from the blade’s heat.
>With his arm free to move, he pulled the blade in close, moving it to cut a hole diagonally above him, so he could escape without risk of something caving in on him.
>Geeze, two near death experiences on a single errand run.
>He really had to get his shit together.
>”Whatever, let’s get this over with.” Echo grumbled, as his sword sliced through the snow like butter.
>His eyes drank in moonlight as his sword carved its way free from the rubble.
>Pulling himself out of his hole, he coughed and wheezed as the fresh night air filled his lungs.
>Yeah, it wasn’t the worst hole he’s been in but it still made him a bit claustrophobic.
>He sprawled himself out on ground, looking up as his breath escaped his gator mask and fogged as he panted.
>Listening to the silence of the night, he heard Lynn’s gentle sobbing nearby
>Right, he still had to fight off Lynn.
>Pulling himself up with a painful grunt, he directed his attention towards the source of the sound.
>He saw Lynn sitting on the pile of snow softly crying, facing away from him.
>It was pitiful, on par with how he saw her when she was all beat up.
>She hadn’t noticed him though, as it seemed she was too wrapped up in her own grief.
>”Aw geeze,” Echo muttered as he ran a hand through his hair.
>This was probably the perfect chance to make a break for it, but on the other hand he could probably take her by surprise and calm her down.
>He had to say he didn’t really like either idea.
>He looked to the trench entrance, his freedom, back to Lynn, the source of both his recent joy and suffering.
>She was such a crybaby klutz for such an esteemed race.
>Weighing his options, Echo made his decision.
More later. Trying to get back in the habit of small yet frequent updates.

>Since there was a chance of Lynn running off, he decided to confront her instead.
>Heck, if he played his cards right, he could diffuse the whole situation.
>That was a pretty clean way of saying hit her over the head and knock her out stone cold, he mused.
>He wasn’t too sure how to feel about the idea of knocking out a sex crazed girl and dragging her back his secluded cabin in the wilderness.
>Sneaking softly closer to Lynn, he held his sword at the ready, not really sure how to strike a girl with such a weapon without causing much harm.
>Actually, he was pretty sure that hitting people in the head would cause a concussion, and he probably shouldn’t do that to Lynn.
>Well what the fuck should he do? Choke her out?
>He was now pretty close to the oblivious barioth, her sobs rapidly eroding his will to fight.
>Alright, hurting her too bad was out of the picture, but he couldn’t underestimate her.
>Swallowing his resolve, Echo moved into action.
>Flipping the switching lever, his blade shifted and flipped with a metallic clang, forming a broad axe head.
>Lynn’s ears perked up, and turned to face him, but she was too slow to dodge.
>In a flash, he kicked her square in her modest chest, causing her to fall onto her back, a squeak of surprise escaping her mouth.
>Wasting no time, he quickly straddled her, locking her arms with his legs.
>Lynn struggled before gazing up at her attacker and froze, her red eyes wide with confusion.
>Echo however didn’t give her the chance to react and raised his axe by the shoulder, slamming it down around her neck, trapping her between the blade and the top of the shaft.
>”How’d you like that missy? Looks like I win!“ Echo gloated as he sat atop her body triumphantly.
>There was an awkward silence.
>Lynn broke it first, her confusion now a mix of relief and anger.
>”Bad” She stated plainly.
>”What?”
>”Echo was Lynn’s. Then. Echo go under snow. Now Lynn is Echo’s. Bad for Lynn.” She whined, her eyes now fading back to their soft blue.
>”What? I’m not going to do anything bad to you. I’m just going to uh… calm you down first, then we can head back.” Echo explained, shifting uncomfortably and trying to maintain eye contact.
>”Lynn know. But is bad for Lynn, here.” She said as her tail curled around him, lightly tapping his chest, causing Echo to blush.
>She now looked up at him smitten eyes; her voice was sweet although somewhat robotic sounding.
>”What now?” she asked with an expectant look.
>Echo cleared his throat before answering.
>”Now we lay some ground rules.” He stated, trying his best to sound like he was in control of the situation.
>Lynn looked from side to side curiously.
>”Ground. Rules?”
>”Things you do and things you don’t do.” Echo explained.
>”First off, no more fighting or hitting, you can’t be doing that understand?”
>”Yes” Lynn replied obediently.
>”Good, next off we are going to go back to camp and get you clothed, understand? You can’t be naked all the time if you want to adapt to civilization, ok?
>”Clothes. O.K.”
>”Next, you need to stop being so…” Echo struggled for the right words.
>”Rapey.” It sounded retarded but that was really the best way to put it. Rape mode Lynn scared the shit out of him and he did not want to deal with that again.
>”Rapey?” Lynn asked, inquiring for an explanation.
>”It’s uh… Don’t- uh… er… Aw fuck it, you can’t be touching me like how you were trying to earlier.”
>”Yes, no hitting or fighting.” Lynn replied confidently.
>”No, I mean no touching. Like. At all. You need to get people’s permission before doin’ th-that kinda stuff.”
>”No, Lynn will touch Echo.” She said with a disturbingly plain and confident tone, as if it was a fact of life that was unavoidable.
>”You- No! No touching!” Echo said more forcefully this time.
>”Lynn touch Echo.” She stated plainly again, not budging an inch.
>Echo sighed, “Fine, but with clothes on ok? Is that a good bargain for you?”
>”Bargain?”
>”Are you ok with that?” He repeated.
>”Yes. Lynn will touch Echo with clothes on.”
>”Good,” Echo said, though not really satisfied with that answer. He removed his axe and folded it onto his back, helping Lynn onto her feet.
>Lynn brushed herself off and stretched, making Echo turn away from embarrassment.
>She seemed to have returned to her sleeplike state prior to the flash bomb, her movements were slow but she had a rather smitten expression.
>”We go now,” without warning, Lynn jumped on his shoulders.
>”Wait wa-“ Echo was cut off as his feet left the ground, and was carried into the sky.

>The powerful thrusts of Lynn’s wings were the only sound between the two as they flew across the night sky.
>While the view was beautiful enough to make him a tad less nervous, it probably would have been better if he could see the stars as well.
>Unfortunately looking up proved to be quite difficult, as Lynn’s lack of clothing gave Echo a perspective that made him uncomfortable, forcing his gaze to be plastered to the tundran landscape below.
>Still though, he had to admit it really was something else, getting carried through the sky like this.
>Sure he had flown on airships before, and any hunter who’s been around long enough knows what it’s like to be thrown, but this was different.
>It was just him and Lynn, in a free yet somewhat controlled flight under the light of the moon.
>Now he didn’t know a thing about romance, but he would be lying if he said it wasn’t a cute little moment.
>"Pretty," Lynn stated, briefly looking down at her cargo with a smile.
>"Y-yeah," Echo replied, glancing up at her only to immediately return looking at the ground.
>Damn, this was bad for his heart.
>This whole trip has been bad for his heart.
>After all of this he swore he was going to go to the nearest bar and get hammered into the ground.
>While he wasn’t much of a heavy drinker, he felt like he really would really need something hard to get over this run.
>As various thoughts crossed his mind, Lynn started to descend into the camp.
>He was still a bit nervous as he was being carried by her feet, making him the first one to strike the ground when they landed.
>Come to think of it, could he ride on Lynn’s back?
>She may not look it, but she had a lot of power in those arms once her wings were unfolded.
>Echo didn’t have time to ponder as he felt a falling sensation in his gut; the ground rushing up to meet him.
>"Uh, Lynn? Don’t you think you should slow do-" Echo didn’t finish his sentence as he looked up in horror at the out of control barioth.
>Her face was completely smitten as her mouth drooled and her eyes were glossed over, it was clear she had little control or awareness of what was happening.
>Oh god, it was going to be a signature Lynn landing.™
>Wanting off the wild ride, Echo reached up and grabbed at Lynn frantically.
>The sensation of his gloves suddenly groping her exposed skin caused her to flinch, dropping him into a snow dune safely as she crashed into the supply tent, only to rebound off into the nearby stream with a splash.
>”Tomorrow can’t come fast enough,” Echo groaned as he pulled himself out of the snow.
>His limbs felt heavy and the cold was starting to get to him after being hit by Lynn’s ice ball.
>Not to mention being buried, he got snow in his armor and he was rapidly feeling the effects of it.
>He turned his head towards the stream and gawked at Lynn pulling herself out.
>The water cascading down her soft skin shimmered in the moonlight, giving her a divine radiance that made Echo’s jaw drop.
>Such beauty.
>It was undeniable for him that Lynn was pretty cute, but the fact that she also displayed such picturesque beauty…
>Echo was brought back to reality as Lynn clumsily shambled her way to the cabin, giggling to herself in an unsettling manner.
>Echo simply stood there and watched her enter the cabin, opening the door by simply leaning against it, falling to the floor as it gave way.
>Right, he didn’t close the door before he left, hopefully it was still warm inside.
>Her behavior still bothered him though.
>She hadn’t even looked at him as she shambled past.
>He remained wary that her antics may not have been done for the night.
>With a sigh, he scratched his head and reluctantly followed.

>Walking into the darkened cabin, Echo glanced at the soaked Lynn huddled by the fire, shivering as she collected her clothes.
>He removed his gator mask and goggles, as well as the heavy gigginox hide.
>He debated keeping his armor on in case Lynn attacked him again, but decided against it.
>He remembered that she must know how to take off the jacket since the fight with the three barioth, and the Leggings would take time to dry.
>Time he didn’t care about anymore.
>He had been traveling through the snow all day, and just got finished fighting off a hysterical barioth.
>He was cold, wet, and tired.
>He removed his soaked undershirt, leaving only his Long underwear and heavy briefs underneath.
>He tossed the shirt over by the fire where Lynn was sitting casually, hoping it would dry off sooner.
>Her ears perked as the shirt landed next her, snatching it up quickly and deeply inhaling it’s scent.
>"gah, Lynn, don’t touch that! It’s nasty and-" Echo waved his hands at her, embarrassed with how much the shirt probably reeked.
>"Ahh♥~" Lynn let out a refreshed sigh, clutching the shirt to her chest and curling up in front of the fire.
>”… Lynn, that’s gross, give me the shirt.” Echo insisted.
>"Shirt?!" Lynn shot up towards him, eyes full of expectation and causing Echo to take a step back.
>"T-The clothing you’re holding. A shirt. Give me the shirt." Echo held out his hand expectantly.
>Lynn suddenly looked very disappointed, as if she had been expecting the word to mean something else.
>She gave a short "no" and quickly returned her previous position, not making eye contact.
>He realized he was alone with a naked girl and he was hardly wearing pants.
>Briefly panicking, he grabbed some blankets from under the bed and draped them over Lynn for both warmth and decency.
>While he wanted to question her obvious poor choice in hygiene, he figured the battle of the shirt was one that wasn’t worth fighting.
>Speaking of hygene, he should probably take a shower.
>While it was incredibly small, his bathroom actually supported one.
>And with the firestones he installed he could easily got hot water going.
>Though the possibility of being attacked in the shower made him feel uneasy.
>While he was putting on an act now, he really was exhausted, and he probably wouldn’t be able to fend off Lynn.
ae60a3 No.128778
>>128776
>"H-Hey Lynn? Why don’t you take the first shower?" Echo spoke up, trying his best not to show any nervousness.
>Lynn lazily raised her head away from the shirt, her tired eyes drooping as she tilted her head to the side and yawned.
>"Come on, follow me." Echo gestured, trying his best not to look at her while keeping up the act that he still had energy.
>At least Lynn also looked tired, so there was a chance the rest of the night could go event free.
>Lynn followed Echo into the bathroom as he hit the light switch, activating a few lightcrystals he had installed himself.
>Lynn looked around with renewed curiosity, her grip on the shirt loosening.
>Echo tried his best to explain the shower functions, but ultimately lost to the mirror over the sink, which captivated the bewildered girl.
>While Lynn making funny faces at the mirror was hilarious, he was running out of strength.
>Seizing his chance, he quickly grabbed the shirt out of her hands, holding it behind his back as Lynn suddenly lunged desperately to get it back.
>Her tail smacked the faucet, thankfully not breaking it but causing her to lose her balance.
>She flew into echo, hitting his burn, causing him to grunt in pain as they both fell to the floor.
>Looking up at Lynn, he noticed that while her face was full of concern, her eyes seemed to be probing him, gauging if he had the power to resist her “help” from the fall.
>"E-Echo?" With her sweet voice, Lynn initiated a skirmish, reaching out a hand to gently run over his chest and arm, causing both parties to blush as their hearts beat faster.
>While only being lost in the moment for a second, Echo quickly regained his senses and surged to his feet, wincing as his muscles barely obeyed.
>"You can have it back after your shower, Lynn." Echo stated coldly.
>He turned on the water and directed Lynn to the small shower stall after helping her up, briefly pantomiming scrubbing himself to indicate what she had to do.
>Lynn looked defeated, but nodded and entered the stall, quickly melting under the comfort of the hot water.
>Echo swiftly laid out a towel and clothes then closed the bathroom door behind him on the way out.
>As soon as he closed the door he collapsed against it, sliding down onto the floor and breathing heavily, his body demanding rest and oxygen.
>"Damn," he softly cursed, unsure of how well he could keep this going.
>He was mostly gambling that Lynn would relieve herself of her sexual frustration in the shower, but if it didn’t pay off for him then he really didn’t have much hope of making it through the night.
>He tried to stand but he was too dizzy.
>Cursing to himself again, he slowly crawled over to the fire and poured himself a beer.
>He then promptly wrapped himself in a blanket and started strategizing, but as he felt his strength leave his body, he knew there wasn’t much he could do.

>The water cascaded down Lynn’s body, draping her in warmth.
>What a peaceful yet stimulating feeling.
>She had never experienced the pleasure of warm water before.
>Heck, she had never even dreamed of being able to experience such human wonders.
>Yet here she was, enjoying human magics in a human nest with her near human body.
>While the space felt a little cramped for her wings and tail, she started to feel relaxed enough to wind down a bit.
>She stood there in the comfort of the water, unmoving as it softly trickled down her hair and face.
>She had a lot to think about.
>Echo had refused her advances towards him, even going so far as to draw his blade.
>She wasn’t blame free, of course.
>She was admittedly a little forward, and she felt bad for abusing his prior injuries in an attempt to get what she wanted.
>Though that all wasn’t all so bad was it?
>Two hunters, crossing passions under the full moon~!
>What a romantic encounter! It was only too bad he got the drop on her in the end.
>Though she had to admit it only made him more desirable!
>Still though, was the idea really that horrible to him?
>Did he even see her as a potential mate?
>She suddenly realized that she didn’t really know anything about human mating rituals.
>Was there a certain mating call or body language signal that she was supposed to give?
>Well it probably wasn’t too hard to figure out, she pondered, as she examined and explored her body.
>Yeah, pretty simple, she concluded.
>While she couldn’t say for certain, she was still convinced that her body was compatible with that of a human male.
>Lynn pursed her lips as she analyzed the situation.
>Echo is human.
>A male human, or a man.
>He said women don’t find him attractive, though.
>In this case, the word women probably referred to female humans.
>Meaning he didn’t already have a mate.
>Check.
>If she forced herself on him, would that make him see her differently?
>Did he even need to see her differently in the first place?
>Her body seemed to make him uncomfortable, and it didn’t seem to be out of disgust.
>So was forcing herself on him necessary?
>Well if it was her future with him on the line, she should probably cover all of her bases.
>Not to mention her instincts were constantly urging her to take him, only made worse by the full moon.
>What was a better question was did she even have the strength to overpower and mate with him?
>He is undoubtedly a skilled warrior; managing to best her in a fight even after traveling in a hostile climate all day.
>And after all of the excitement today, she felt as if she was already at her limit.
>However she could tell that he was also weakening, he was putting on an act, but she couldn’t gauge how much strength he still had.
>If she could get him with his guard down, there was a chance that she could overpower him.
>A war of attrition, huh?
>This hunt was indeed not yet over.
>Lynn started to get excited, her hands holding her cheeks as wild fantasies played out in her head.
>The heat that she had been feeling in her body all night was growing hotter the more she fantasized.
>Her instincts starting to take over again, she decided it was time to see Echo again.
>Turning the water off as Echo had instructed her, Lynn exited the glass stall and looked at her options for clothing.
>One was her set of clothes Echo had given her earlier.
>It didn’t cover much, so she could probably still make do with them.
>However her other option was a long rough piece of cloth that Echo must have laid out for her.
>She was fairly certain she was supposed to wrap it around her body.
>After experimenting a little, Lynn managed to secure the dry fabric around her torso.
>While it arguably covered more skin, it still left her nether region and rump uncovered, which would be useful.
>Actually, why would Echo give her something like this to wear if he was so resistant to her prior advances?
>Wait, what if he actually wanted to mate with her, and this was some kind of traditional piece of human clothing used for mating rituals?
>That must be it! Gosh she was smart!
>Human culture sure was complicated.
>It’s too bad they hadn’t found a quicker way of drying off water though, but the fire seemed to do an alright job at that.
>With her desires warping her judgement, Lynn scurried out the bathroom door.

>Echo did his best to fight off sleep as he sat in front of the fire.
>He had laid out a spare sleeping mat for himself since he figured it was only proper to give the bed to Lynn.
>Not that it mattered much, but it was good to be prepared in case things went his way.
>He idly fingered the tranquilizer container in his hand, noting the injection needle.
>If it came down to it, he would prick her and put her to sleep.
>It was a cheap way to win but hey, you use what you have.
>A part of echo wasn’t even sure why he was fighting anymore.
>Maybe it was because it was all he knew.
>He had never been in an intimate relationship before.
>Heck, he had never even been in a normal relationship with any kind of female, human or otherwise.
>Everything with Lynn was just happening too fast.
>It more than unnerved him, it was like looking into the unknown, and Lynn was pulling him in.
>It was terrifying.
>Even though it was probably the best thing for him, all he wanted to do was fight it.
>Suddenly his lonely yet controlled lifestyle sounded familiar and comfortable.
>Even though it was rotting away at him.
>All he wanted to do was fight the unknown.
>And he was going to fight his damnedest.
>”I really am hopeless, huh?” He whispered to himself as he took a sip of the warm drink in his mug.
>While he wasn’t very normal, he certainly wasn’t the only hunter to think like how he did.
>A lot of hunters were damaged goods, after all.
>You would probably have to be if you enjoyed this kind of work.
>He turned as he heard the bathroom door open and the clicking of skittering claws on the wood floor.
>Echo sprayed the drink from his mouth as he saw a soaked Lynn charging into the room wearing nothing but a bath towel.
>Water droplets sprayed all over the room as her hair and tail where wildly thrown about in her movements.
>He stood up and held out his hand indicating for Lynn to halt.
>She did so, her excited face now looking up at his in confusion.
>He felt bad for whoever would have to teach this girl how to behave normally.
>He tried his best to speak in a calm and simple tone when addressing her.
>"Lynn, that’s not clothing." He stated plainly, pointing to the towel.
>"That is a towel. Towels are not clothing, you use them to dry yourself off."
>Lynn looked at him, then at her towel, then back at him.
>"Lynn no touch Echo?"
>"No, a towel is not clothes; you can only touch me when you are wearing clothes."
>"Okay." Lynn smiled and moved to take off the towel when the flustered hunter stopped her.
>After a while, he successfully explained to Lynn how to effectively operate a towel, and sent her back to the bathroom.
>He was starting to get worried.
>Before her shower Lynn seemed ready to go to sleep.
>But now she seemed to have caught some form of second wind.
>This could be a problem.
>Lynn re-entered the room in the skimpy tube top and briefs, a little more calmed down now, or rather, there seemed to be more sway to her step.
>She sat down by the fire next to him, her head leaning his shoulder and her tail curled around his back.
>He turned to tell her to back off, but he just couldn’t find the strength to do it as she looked up at him with her dreamy blue eyes.
>Though he suddenly realized that she was sniffing him.
>"Oh, my bad Lynn, I should take my shower too, ahahaha…" He laughed nervously.
>Echo apologized to a very love hungry looking Lynn and stumbled his way into the bathroom, locking the door behind him.
>Stripping off his remaining clothes and leaving the small tranquilizer needle by a new set of night ware, Echo stepped into the shower stall, turned on the water, and collapsed under the comforting heat.

>After he was finished, Echo dried himself off and put on some nightwear.
>Though it really was only another set of long heavy briefs, reaching a few inches above the knee.
>Hunters usually didn’t have a large wardrobe aside from armor, which he would rather avoid considering the long ride to town tomorrow morning.
>He tried to take as long as possible in the shower without getting dried out or passing out, mostly just to put off dealing with Lynn and hoping she would fall asleep.
>It didn’t work, but he was glad he locked the door, as he could hear Lynn scratching at the door and rattling the handle while he was showering.
>He briefly considered just staying locked up in the bathroom for the night, but he didn’t have any blankets or fire, so he would probably freeze.
>Not to mention that Lynn would probably just split the door eventually.
>Holding the tranquilizer injector in his hand firmly, Echo gulped and slowly opened the bathroom door.
>He tried to open it as quietly as he could, but the hinges betrayed him, creaking loudly.
>Surprised that he wasn’t pounced immediately, he stepped into the small main room cautiously.
>The fire was still lit, radiating the room with heat, and there was a lump in the covers on the bed.
>Well, that had to be Lynn.
>Guess he just outlasted her after all.
>Breathing a sigh of relief, Echo shuffled over to the entrance and set aside his underclothes by his armor.
>Crisis averted.
>Though something still bothered him.
>He couldn’t help but feel like he was being watched, and he quickly glance over his shoulder at the bed.
>Yet there was no movement, nothing stirred.
>Figuring it must just be his fatigued mind, he slowly crept over to his sleeping bag in front of the fire, still keeping Lynn in his peripheral vision.
>The feeling was more intense now, and he could feel his heart rate increase as he became more uncomfortable.
>Alright, he could at least check to make sure.
>He couldn’t sleep easy without seeing a certain unconscious barioth with his own eyes.
>He shifted over to the bed, standing over her nervously.
>Echo held his breath as he raised the tranq in his hand, easing back the covers.
>If this was a trap he would sticker her right here and now.
>With his stomach in his throat, he slid back the covers to reveal:
>Nothing.
>No cat-dragons, just a rolled up heavy blanket underneath.
>Echo’s eyes went wide as he heard a small click on the ceiling.
>His mind screamed at him to move but his exhausted body refused to listen.
>He could only manage looking up in time to see Lynn rushing down on top of him.
>In a flash she dove onto his chest, pinning him to the bed.
>Before he could react, she swiped the tranq out of his hand, sending it clattering to the floor.
>She then proceeded to lift his body in a lock, turning him so he wholly rested on the firm mattress.
>Echo tried to struggle but his aching body didn’t budge underneath her iron grip.
>There was nothing he could do.
>The passion and hunger in Lynn’s eyes told him there was no way he could talk his way out of it.
>He was now completely at her mercy.
>"Lynn touch Echo now."

I figure this is the best place to ask, would you guys be interested in being apart of a Monster Hunter group for /Monster/? Me and another friend who lurks here already play on a daily basis, and it'd be sweet to casually play with other people on the board.
If you guys are interested let me know what service would be best to organize this on, my aforementioned friend and I use Curse voice for our sessions. But this service is obviously lacking and I'd hate to force someone to download it, I have it on my shitty laptop so hypothetically where would you guys like to see this group on? Skype, Tox, Teamspeak, etc?

>Echo tried his best to mentally prepare himself as a torrent of questions was raging inside his mind.
>There were too many factors he couldn’t control.
>The situation was too unknown to him.
>Lynn was too unpredictable in her state.
>Heck he didn’t even know how to behave right now.
>He was brought back to reality by the sound of Lynn’s deep purring.
>She smiled as the moonlight danced across her eyes, like ripples across a body of water.
>The storm in his mind began to slowly fade, washed away in the comforting sea of blue.
>It was so endless…
>Yet so reassuring.
>The kind of eyes you get lost in if you look at them for too long.
>She softly cooed and cupped his cheek with her hand, not breaking eye contact.
>Echo tried to move his now free hand but Lynn gently pushed it away.
>”No,” she purred softly, leaning in to nuzzle his face.
>Echo tried to protest but she put a finger to his lips, gazing into his eyes once more and silently easing the terror in his heart.
>She started to run her hands along his body, messaging his muscles and easing the stress out of them.
>Rubbing and pressing, kneading and pushing.
>Echo could feel the tension completely drain from his body.
>Her hands freely explored him while calmed his nervousness through gentle coos.
>Lowering her body onto his, Lynn purred and sniffed Echo intently.
>Every inhale of his scent was intoxicating to her, and she soon resumed nuzzling him gently.
>Soft nuzzles graduated to small kisses, as she worked her way up his neck to his forehead, pecking him on the lips lastly.
>The kisses eventually got deeper, as she kissed him again on the lips, slowly but surely leading him on.
>Rubbing a hand over his chest, she now looked at him with passionate eyes, inviting him to join her.
>She leaned in once more to kiss him, and was delighted to feel him kiss her back.
>Oh yes, this was what she wanted.
>Her tail reflected her excitement as it waved back and forth.
>She cupped both of his cheeks now, her smooches gradually becoming more passionate.
>Echo couldn’t bring himself to resist; in fact he was starting to enjoy himself.
>Was this what he has been missing?
>He still wasn’t sure if he wanted to go any further, however.
>Lynn didn’t seem to mind, as she patiently showered him with affection.
>She couldn’t remember the last time she felt this good.
>To think a few days ago she would never have thought this situation possible.
>A few days ago her life as she knew it was forfeit.
>Yet she couldn’t be happier.
>Because her new life was right here, being held in her arms by the comfort of the fire.
>What joy.
>What simplicity.
>Humans really were incredible.
>Though it was a shame that Echo was more tired than she expected.
>She knew that he wouldn’t be able to hold up if they went any further.
>Still, she would do her best to show her affection, even if she would have to make sure not to go too far.
>She would do her best to be his everything, just as he is hers.
>Softly cuddling her beloved, she gently whispered into his ear.
>”Lynn be Echo as Echo was to Lynn.”
>With that, she pulled the covers over the two of them, the heavy fabric softly enveloping their bodies.
>She once again pressed herself to him, careful not to cause any harm.
>She then ran a hand through his hair, before wrapping him in a hug.
>”Echo hand-some.” She cooed as she got comfortable.
>”Lynn pretty?” She asked, giving Echo a look that he had no hope of saying no to.
>”Yes,” he said as he scratched her ears, smiling.
>“Lynn is the prettiest girl in the whole world.”
>Lynn didn’t really get the rest of it, but melted into bliss regardless.
>Yeah, she was happy with this result.
>She could wait a little while longer before going further… probably.
>In her mind, it didn’t matter what happened tomorrow; as long as she was with him she could get through it.
>Echo on the other hand, didn’t know what to think anymore.
>All he knew right now was that the empty space in his heart was filled, and he wasn’t sure if he could let it go empty again.
>But whatever decision he had to make could be made tomorrow, as for right now he could rest easy.
>With their hearts full of warmth and their hands held firmly, the two eventually fell into a deep slumber.

>Bump bump… Bump bump…
>”mmh…?”
>Lynn was softly eased back into consciousness by the pleasant sound of rhythmic beating.
>She eased her eyes open to find her head resting comfortably on Echo’s chest, the two of them covered in a heavy blanket.
>She had difficulty recalling some of the prior night’s events, though she remembered every detail of the last part, causing her cheeks to feel heated.
>It was actually extremely embarrassing, she kissed, cuddled, and even held hands!
>Of course, she didn’t really understand what these concepts were, but there was an undeniably feeling of intimacy behind them.
>How did she manage the courage to be so forward?
>”…”
>But, Echo seemed to like it right?
>Then that’s all that really mattered in the end.
>Lynn yawned and rested her head on Echo’s chest, squeezing his hand with hers.
>Just a little bit more cuddling, then she could get up.
>His warmth and scent relaxed her body as she shut her eyes once more.
>She was careful not to let herself fall asleep, as she wanted to do something good for Echo to improve on her skills.
>She could try feeding him again.
>However it seemed that fish and other meats were to be burned over a fire for a specific amount of time, and she didn’t really understand the technique.
>She could try to organize more of his things.
>For some reason that didn’t seem like a good idea, maybe it was a bit too intrusive on his belongings, and she couldn’t shake the feeling that the last time she did this it ended badly.
>Looking outside, she saw the sun just peeking through the windows, normally indicating her to start her mid-morning nap.
>Last night had put her on a weird schedule, and she still felt pretty tired.
>She looked back down upon the sleeping hunter, her desire to cuddle increasing at an alarming rate.
>Well, she didn’t really have anything else to do, and she didn’t want to wake him up.
>Maybe just a little bit more cuddling.
. . .
>Echo awoke to the sound of the howling wind pressing against the wooden cabin walls.
>It was a lonely sound he knew too well, but this time it didn’t feel so empty.
>Blinking to let his eyes adjust, he tried to get up when he noticed a certain someone was using him as a hug pillow.
>She had seemed to have annexed his legs, left hand, and chest, gripping him firmly and tickling his bare chest with her breath.
>It really was adorable, and a part of him wanted to lie there and cuddle all morning, but he knew it was time to head back to town.
>Using his free hand, he brushed Lynn’s long white hair gently in an attempt to wake her.
>”Lynn, It’s time to get up.” He whispered to her softly.
>"…"
>Lynn didn’t respond but her grip on him tightened.
>"C’mon Lynn, I know you’re awake."
>"…No…" Lynn retorted as she wriggled under the blankets, rubbing her body against his.
>”I know it’s comfortable but we should probably start the day. We have some more traveling to do today and I need to get ready.” Echo explained.
>Lynn looked up at him in a defeated manner, and finally decided to let go, curling back up under the covers once he left.
>He didn’t blame her, getting up on cold mornings was always rough.
>Changing back into his armor, Echo shared some aptonoth meat with Lynn before setting about loading his gear in the kart.
>He decided to configure the cart into a sled, since the roads were probably all snowed over.
>It didn’t take too long, and after short while the sled was loaded and the popo were prepped, the only problem he had facing him was getting Lynn out of bed.
>After trying coercion, bribing, and begging, he finally settled on wrapping the sleepy barioth in blankets, and carrying her to the sled.
>She didn’t resist, and instinctively tried to cling to him but couldn’t move under all of the tightly wrapped blankets, allowing him to drop her off in the back without being latched on to.
>Satisfied, Echo sat in the front and took the reins, easing the popo to start moving.
>As the sled shook and bounced its way down the path, Lynn climbed into the front seat and rested her head on Echo’s shoulder, wrapping the blanket around him for warmth.
>With a large cat-like yawn, she soon fell asleep, leaving Echo to focus on his thoughts.

>As much as he didn’t like the idea, he knew that Lynn needed an education, and he needed to work.
>He could let the guild pay for her schooling, but then she wouldn’t have the option of working anywhere else for a few years.
>And while he found the image of Lynn in a sweetheart uniform appealing, the idea of her being armed to the teeth with puns was terrifying.
>His other option would be to fund her schooling himself.
>He had been working for a long time now, and he never spent money on anything that wasn’t essential, meaning he actually had a very large excess of wealth.
>She could still work at the guild, though if she didn’t want to then she would be free to find a job elsewhere.
>He wasn’t actually sure how this all panned out legally though.
>She was certainly of adult age, so he wouldn’t be her guardian, but what exactly did that make him?
>Well probably no one cared as long as they got their zenni.
>Even if something happened to him then the guild would surely take her in regardless.
>He looked over at the sleeping girl on his shoulder.
>She was a perfect little catch, wasn’t she?
>He reached into her hood and brushed her hair gently, causing her to stir lightly in her sleep.
>Like the night before the tundra was quiet, the only sound was the sled on the snow and the popos’ occasional grunts.
>However unlike the earie feeling of last night, it was more peaceful as flat clouds blanketed the atmosphere in a sleepy grey.
>They made good progress, stopping only for brief rests and lunch.
>After eventually waking up, Lynn seemed to be in a good mood, but was still a little shy; her boldness from yesterday seemed to have disappeared.
>They passed the time by teaching her new words, though she seemed mostly interested in words of the affection category.
>”What is when like man more like?”
>”Like, if you like-like someone?” Echo asked for confirmation.
>Lynn looked back at him confused, probably too m any “likes” in one sentence.
>”I guess the next reasonable step would be l-… love.” He seemed to have difficulty saying the word, it was one he admittedly never really used.
>”Love is like-like someone?”
>Echo wasn’t thrilled that he was explaining such a complex concept in such a juvenile manner, but Lynn certainly wouldn’t understand it if he went all philosophical on her.
>”Ah, yeah, if you like-like someone, then you love them.”
>”Ah,” Lynn seemed to make a mental note.
>She continued to barrage him with questions, but seemed to stay on the innocent side of things, probably too embarrassed to ask anything too awkward thankfully.
>”What this?” Lynn inquired as she gingerly pointing at Echo’s hand.
>”That’s my hand.” Echo stated bluntly, not sure if any more explanation was needed.
>Lynn turned beat red as she reached her hand towards his, shaking in anticipation.
>”Ca-can Lynn, Have ha-ha-“she sputtered as her hand reached his, eyes swirling and body shaking.
>"Do… you want to hold my hand?" Echo inquired, trying his best to keep the poor girl from exerting herself too much.
>She shyly nodded, making Echo to smirk as he took her hand in his.
>A little taken by surprise, she let out a small squeak, but eventually melted into him, leaning her body onto his.
>A peaceful silence hung over them once more as they traveled along the snow covered roads
>Echo never really minded traveling, but having Lynn made him remember how much better it was when there was someone else to pass the time with.
>When she wasn’t napping, flying, crashing, or snuggling, Lynn made an effort to learn more about him, but unfortunately her utter lack of vocabulary prevented them from any complex conversation.
>"Echo like food?"
>”I guess I do as much as the next person. Though I’ll take anything that keeps me going really.”
>"Echo like axe?"
>”Yep, I got all kinds of switch-axes. Beautiful things aren’t they? One good swing and they can go right through just about anything.”
>Lynn liked to listen to him talk, even if she didn’t understand what he said half the time.

>By sunset they had spotted the sleepy little winter town.
>Lynn seemed to be a little overwhelmed by all of the new sights and sounds as the entered the village, gripping Echo’s hand tightly underneath the blankets.
>However, due to her cloak, she hadn’t really gotten any attention, making the experience less extreme.
>”Don’t worry, you’ll be fine.” Echo reassured.
>”The locals are nice and I won’t let anyone touch ya’.”
>He pulled in the kart into a guild loading area where the two were greeted by some felyne workers.
>”Welcome back meowster Echo sir, I purrsume mew want this cargo taken to your tempurrary home here?” A small felyne with a hardhat and a clipboard asked, his speech making Lynn question her already learned pronunciations.
>”Yeah, thanks in advance. Make sure the popo get some rest too, I worked them nonstop today.”
>”meowkay, will do.” The felyne replied, directing the other workers as needed.
>Echo Helped Lynn out of the sled, her eyes cautiously watching the small cat-like workers.
>”Now Lynn,” echo explained sternly to her, “I don’t want you talking like them, while they can’t help it, you still have hope of being bearable.”
>Lynn didn’t seem to understand, as she cocked her head to the side.
>He noted that if there were any options for monster girl schooling, he would have to pick one without felyne speech instructors.
>”Forget it,” he sighed, taking Lynn by the hand and headed off towards the guild hall.
>It was time to decide her fate.

>From the doorway, the guild hall wasn’t anything too special; it was mostly a large bar with a stone floor and wooden tables.
>Large displays of candles and cast iron chandeliers lit the bar with a cozy atmosphere, showering the inhabitants with warmth.
>They didn’t seem too comforting to Lynn however, as her eyes nervously darted around from under her hood.
>Echo squeezed her hand a little tighter for reassurance, and stepped inside.
>It wasn’t particularly crowded today, which made things easier, but there were still some regulars that Echo preferred to avoid.
>A team of four rookie hunters were merrily enjoying a meal after what must have been a brutal hunt.
>The young men were adorned in chainmail, their chest and shoulder plates covered in scratches.
>He was pretty sure they were native to the region; otherwise the guild would never have sent them here.
>Still, from his experience they seemed like a nice group of kids with a lot of heart, as they seemed to get along with everyone pretty well.
>Another table was filled with a small group of deadbeat hunters.
>They usually spent their nights drinking and complaining about their abusive wives, only to inevitably hit on the sweethearts and pass out.
>They were the bar’s most frequent visitors, though they only took jobs when they could no longer afford their bad habits.
>While they sported mid-tier gear, anyone could tell their careers were on permanent hold, held back by a very heavy ball and chain.
>Echo never really cared for them, and he had a sneaking suspicion that they never really liked him either.
>Tundran stations were usually fairly small, so most everyone knew each other.
>Everyone except Echo, who never reached out to anyone outside of his team, so others left him alone in kind.
>Still though, everyone knew his name, not because he had the most experience, but because every time he walked in-
>”Is it me, or is there an echo in the room?”
>Echo grimaced as he locked eyes with the guild sweetheart across the guildhall, sitting behind the quest counter with a grin on her face.
>Every day since she had been stationed here she told that joke when he walked in.
>She had been stationed here for over a year now.
>Not once was it funny.
>”Who’s your new friend?” she asked him excitedly as they approached, causing the deadbeats to turn out of curiosity.
>A little overwhelmed at the sudden attention, Lynn tried her best to hide under her cloak, her dragon like feet and tail betraying her.
>Echo guided the poor girl to the counter, trying to hush the guildie so as not to make a scene.
>”This is Lynn, a barioth I found out on that trip I was booked for. She’s kind of the reason why I wasn’t able to return until now, sorry about that.” He explained.
>”Oh? I was starting to think you just ran off! I was so worried; you can’t do that to a girl!” She teased.
>Turning to Lynn, she excitedly reached over the counter to push back her hood.
>”Don’t be shy sweetie, let me get a good look at you.”
>Lynn clutched onto Echo’s arm a little tighter, letting out an adorable little whine as her snowy hair and ears were revealed.
>Echo felt dagger like stares of pure jealousy stabbing at his back, making slightly amused.
>”So she’s a Barioth… I bet she would be good at carrying your stuff around, because she seems a bit catty!” The guildy struck a pose with her hands in the shapes of pistols as she winked at him.
>There was a long awkward moment of silence between them.
>Echo let out an annoyed sigh as he rested his head in his hands.
>”… Oh come on! Not even a snicker? I wasn’t really expecting much from him, but what about you?” She said as she pointed a demanding finger at Lynn
>”…” Lynn simply looked confused, and held onto Echo a little tighter.
>“…So I’m guessing she’s feral then huh? Does she know how to speak?”
>”Not really, but she’s a fast learner.” Echo replied, giving Lynn a small pat on the head.
>”Lynn, this is Eira, she’s annoying and kind of a flirt, but right now she’s here to help.”
>”Echo! Don’t tell her such lies! I am a respectable young woman!” she scolded as some laughs came from the rookie table.
>Eira turned to Lynn, speaking in a voice one would use when addressing a child.
>”Don’t listen to him Lynn. Big sis Eira is here to help. Can you say my name? Eira.”
>”Eye-ra” Lynn repeated shyly, still clinging to Echo’s arm.
>”Good girl!” Eira cheered, reaching to pet Lynn on the head only for Lynn to scurry behind Echo with a whimper.

>”She’s not a cat you know.” Echo said, patting Lynn on the head properly, angering Eira at the blatant double standard.
>He had to admit that statement was somewhat false.
>If he was using general numbers here, then Lynn was half human and half barioth.
>And a Barioth was mostly wyvern than cat, like maybe two thirds wyvern?
>So that made her roughly… one sixth cat?
>He figured he should probably stop thinking about this too hard.
>She was cute and that’s all that really mattered.
>”So yeah, I want to get her situated with schooling, I know you guys mostly handle that stuff but I never bothered actually looking into it.” Echo explained.
>”Alright then,” Eira sighed as she turned to pull some papers from the shelves.
>”This is going to be a bit of paper work…”
>She ruffled through some papers and filled out a few forms before handing him a small stack with a quill and ink vat.
>Taking his leave, Echo sat down at a nearby table and began filling out forms, the rookies still dining and chatting idly while the deadbeats seemed to have quieted down.
>Lynn sat next to him, her tail curling around his waist and her eyes curiously studying the parchment.
>It seemed there was only one school dedicated to Monster girls outside of felynes, and of course it was run by the guild.
>That said it seemed he had the option to finance her himself.
>Most of the questions were pretty straight forward.
>Some were not.
>Is the individual nursing or pregnant?
>He assumed that was a no.
>Has the individual engaged in or thought of engaging in any romantic or intimate activities with a male individual within three weeks prior to the filing of this form?
>He could feel himself become a little flustered as he recalled the previous night’s events.
>They didn’t really go all the way… but then again kissing and cuddling-
>”Heeey Echo, pally, my man~!” Echo’s concentration was broken as he felt a hand on his shoulder.
>It was one of the deadbeats, leaning on the table to get down on his level.
>”Hey buddy, you gonna introduce us to your new lady friend?” His attempt at flattery was obvious and his breath stank of alcohol, causing Echo to shoot him an icy glare.
>”Shut up man, you don’t even know him!” One of his buddies laughed. ”Stop embarrassing yourself and sit down!”
>The deadbeat seemed to take this as a challenge, as he ignored Echo’s glare and sat down next to Lynn, putting an arm around her shoulders.
>”Oh come on pal, don’t be like that. I just want us to get to know each other you know?” he said feigning innocence as he tried to pull Lynn closer to himself.
>Lynn tried to resist but it only made him pull harder.
>”Come on cutie, why donchya tell me your name huh? Don't you want to have some fun?”

>His eyes stabbed like spears into the man’s soul, but the alcohol nulled the effect.
>”Hey~ fuck you too man. I’m jus tryin t’be polite n’ shit.” The man slurred as he stood up from the table.
>”You think you’re hot shit er’ something? You think yer better than us cuz’ ya got all that fancy gear huh? Walkin’ in ere’ like your top o’ the world, braggin’ bout yer new girlfriend? You fuckin’ prick, I bet ya jus’ paid er’ to show up here to piss us off didn ya?”
>His good mood gone, Echo stood up from the table, locking eyes with the drunk and staring him down.
>”You should probably apologize to the young lady while your jaw still works, fuckwad.” He sneered.
>”Oh you wanna fight now ya piece of shit?”
>The rookies had gotten up to try and stop the fight but they were too late.
>The man threw in a good swing, but it was clear that he was both drunk and rusty, as Echo easily sidestepped out of the way.
>However neither of them noticed that Lynn had also stood up from the table, and was now right in the line of fire.
>With a sickening crack, the man’s fist collided with Lynn’s face, knocking her off her feet and onto the floor.

>There was a brief pause where the two men got over the shock of what had just happened.
>Echo looked at the drunk, to Lynn, and back at the drunk.
>Seeing his dismay, the man laughed mockingly.
>”AHAHAHA! Ya-“he let out a grotesque choking noise as Echo slammed his elbow into his windpipe, sending him reeling and gasping for air.
>He barely had time to register the hit as Echo closed the distance in a flash, delivering two blinding jabs before spinning his whole body into a crushing roundhouse.
>The man’s vision went blurry as Echo’s foot slammed into his skull, throwing him onto the stone floor in a corkscrew.
>He couldn’t feel too much pain due to the alcohol, but he couldn’t breathe and his head was swimming.
>Gasping for air, he desperately grabbed onto a table for support, slowly hoisting himself up.
>He wasn’t going to let this masked bastard beat him.
>wheezing and choking, he whipped around and took a swing, striking air.
>He didn’t realize his mistake until he saw a flash in his peripheral vision.
>He tried to adjust himself but it was too late.
>Echo slammed his fist into the man’s jaw, smiling in sick satisfaction as he felt the bone fracture.
>The force threw the man onto the table, smashing it to splinters.
>He lied there groaning in pain as Echo placed his boot on the man’s neck, and started to press.
>He didn’t say a word as he pressed harder on the man’s neck, watching him squirm with a mix of hatred and pity in his eyes.
>The man continued to let out gargling choking sounds as his face turned blue and his mouth started to foam, his body shutting down from the lack of oxygen.
>He probably would have choked him out if the rookies hadn’t pried him off, leaving the man gasping and wheezing on the floor as the other deadbeats laughed hysterically.
>”I think he’s had enough, man.” One of the rookies said, nervously trying to calm him down.
>Echo only grunted, shrugging them off as he turned his attention to Lynn.

>At this point Lynn had picked herself up off the floor with a little help from Eira, who seemed to have been cheering on the fight irresponsibly.
>She didn’t seem hurt, but it was clear that the blow had taken her by surprise.
>In fact she seemed to be more worried about him than herself, as her gentle eyes filled with concern.
>”Echo. Okay?” She asked, clasping her hands in front of her chest and fliting her tail.
>”Y-yeah, I’m fine.” A little taken aback that anyone would show concern for him after what happened to the other guy.
>”What about you, Lynn? Are you hurt? I can get you a potion or something if you’re hurt bad.” Echo insisted as he dug through his pouch.
>Lynn stopped him as she placed her hands on his arm reassuringly.
>”Lynn O.K.” She said, smiling warmly.
>She really was cute.
>But it made sense, considering how often she made face plants, taking a hit probably wasn’t too much of a feat for her.
>She probably could have taken out the guy herself, if the condition of the three barioth were anything to go by.
>”Woaa! You gotta teach me some of those moves! Just think! I could be a pro wrestler in no time!” Eira shouted excitedly, shadowboxing for emphasis.
>”Maybe another time.” He said, adjusting to the now calmer atmosphere.
>Things were mostly quiet after that, the deadbeats had taken their friend and left, and a few felynes replaced the smashed table with a brand new one only moments later.
>Echo finished filing the paperwork and ordered a large meal for both him and Lynn.
>They were both starving after the day’s travels, and they happily stuffed their faces.
>He tried to teach Lynn how to use eating utensils properly but ultimately failed as she resorted to ripping and tearing at her food with claws and teeth.
>After finishing their meal and a small pile of napkins, Echo set up plans with Eira for Lynn’s transfer to the school.
>The only school that could accommodate her was in Loc Lac City, A large trade city on the border of the great desert.
>”So are you going to ship her off on an airship in the morning? How does this work out exactly?” Echo inquired.
>”Oh, you’ll both be taking an airship in the morning silly billy.” She replied in a stupidly cutesy manner.
>”Huh?”
>”If the individual had any romantic encounters or thoughts with/about a male then it is in her best interest to be accompanied by the male to the school.” She explained, reciting the lawyer speak verbatim.
>”Think of it as insurance that our little kitty behaves well. Beclaws she thinks you’re the cat’s meow, you’ll have to go with her until the school sorts things out.
>I honestly didn’t think you had it in you. You had gone for so long without I girlfriend I was considering taking you out of pity.” She said in mock concern.
>Teasing and bad jokes aside, Echo was pleased that he wouldn’t have to part ways with Lynn yet, but he wasn't totally sure if it was right to call them a couple.

>The small winter town wasn’t asleep yet, but it was apparent that most of the town had turned in as the moon crept its way into the sky.
>As they passed by various stores and restaurants Echo couldn’t help but notice Lynn staring curiously through the windows, either browsing items on display or checking her appearance, the idea of which he found amusing.
>He was pretty sure she still didn’t understand the concept of clothing, as she still only had on what was basically heavy underwear.
>Come to think of it he really needed to get her actual clothing.
>That scene at the bar could have been a lot worse if the guy knew Lynn was actually eighty percent naked underneath her cloak.
>”Echo.” He turned to see Lynn standing in front of a jewelry store, looking at him expectantly.
>”Hmm? What is it Lynn?” Echo inquired, walking over to the girl as she pointed to the display behind the frosted glass
>”What this?”
>Echo followed her hand to the glass, peering inside.
>It was an assortment of wedding rings, complete with a cheesy illustration of a man putting a ring on a woman’s finger.
>The caption read: A special something for that special someone.
>”It’s uh…” Echo thought for a moment, wondering why Lynn always had to ask these kinds of questions.
>”Those are wedding rings; it’s what you give someone when you want to marry them.”
>Before Lynn could ask he continued to explain.
>”Marriage is when you want to spend the rest of your life with someone. If you fall in love with someone, and if that person loves you back, then you marry them.”
>He noted that explaining this was somewhat more embarrassing then it should be.
>”Love. Then. Marry?” Lynn said looking at him then back at the ring, piecing the words she knew together to gain an understanding.
>”Y-yeah. Kinda like that.”
>Lynn seemed to ponder for a moment as she touched her index finger to her lips.
>While the moon was no longer full, it was still enough to have some effect on her.
>Yet she was still having trouble to muster the courage to say what she wanted to.
>There was still so much she didn’t know about the human ways, and was scared that she would do something wrong.
>”E-echo…” Lynn gulped. “E-echo lo-l-lo-lo-lo-lo…”
>She still couldn’t force the words out.
>She cleared her throat and tried again as she stared at her feet and kicked at the ground.
>”Lynn lo-lo-l-l-lo-l…” Her face was beat red and her heart was racing.
>Even with the help of the moon, it was an incredibly embarrassing thing to say.
>Perhaps it was the fear of being rejected and abandoned eating at her again.
>While she didn’t understand a whole lot of what had been happening lately, she was intelligent enough to piece together that her future with Echo was still not secured.
>She was probably going to go through some kind of process to learn how to adapt to the human’s magics.

>”Hmm? What’s wrong Lynn? Cat got your tongue?” Echo paused for a minute as he realized with horror what he had just said.
>Holding his head in his hands, he muttered horrible curses under his breath and death to those responsible for the continued existence of such humor.
>Luckily there was hardly anyone around to notice the scene of the shaking stuttering girl and the homicidal masked axe man, as the two made quite the interesting picture.
>Having given up, Lynn gave Echo a small tug on the arm, snapping him out of his angst.
>”Go, home?” Lynn asked as fresh snowfall began.
>”Yeah, Let’s head back and get you some clothes before people think you’re a prostitute.” He smirked.
>”Prostitute?”
>”Forget it.”
>With her arms around his, the two walked down the cold winter streets.
. . .
>”Well Lynn, we’re here.”
>The two stepped inside the humble abode, stomping their feet at the entrance to throw off any snow.
>Lynn looked around curiously, sniffing the air to confirm her suspicions.
>This place indeed, smelled like Echo.
>So this must be his den.
>The other one must have been only a temporary ‘camp’ while this one was probably where he spent most of his time.
>”Well, I’ll get a fire going but the heat should be on. Make yourself at home.”
>Lynn didn’t know what he meant but moved to curl up on the couch as he lit a fire.
>She watched him intently as he did his work but also made sure to take off her cloak, allowing her to rub her body all over the couch to mark it as territory.
>Perhaps if she marked enough, other females won’t think of going near Echo.
>She tried her best to hide it but she was going to lose her mind at the bar.
>Letting another female interact with Echo in such a seductive manner, on top of the male trying to seduce her, was more than she could handle.
>Was her previous assumptions about humans being awful actually correct?
>Then Echo was just an exception, or…
>Echo handed her a glass of Hako beer, and sat down next to her.
>He impulsively scratched her behind the ears, causing her to purr with glee as her tail flopped on the couch.
>No, Echo would never betray her.
>She was foolish for thinking such things.
>If anything, it just meant she got lucky and found the best human possible.

>Echo winced as he suddenly felt a pressure on his lap.
>He looked down at a blushing Lynn, who was lying on her back with her head resting on him.
>Her hands clutched his to her chest as her soft eyes pleaded for his affection.
>Echo’s mind told him he was in immediate danger but he held her hand anyway, brushing her hair and scratching her ears.
>Her purring became almost deafening as it permeated throughout the room, indicating her obvious state of bliss.
>While her catlike tendencies amused him, he couldn’t help but note that the spikes on her wings and tail were getting caught on the fabric, not yet tearing it but it could probably become a problem if she became too excited.
>He was a little hesitant to give Lynn alcohol after her behavior the previous night, but he figured it may have just been the full moon.
>He wasn’t used to hosting people, but thankfully he had some spare things to go around.
>The two enjoyed each other’s company as they tried their best at having a conversation, but it ultimately resulted in quiet cuddling.
>After a while Echo dragged a very drunk Lynn to the bathroom for her to take a shower while he converted the couch into a bed.
>She almost pulled him in with her as she feigned ignorance as to how the shower worked, but he had somehow barely managed to escape.
>He wasn’t sure how successful he would be in urging Lynn to sleep alone, but he figured it was the right thing to do.
>She was going to a boarding school after all, so it would be for the best if Lynn learned how to live without him.
>It sounded a little cruel, but it was the truth.
>He heard the bathroom door open, and turned to see Lynn stumbling down the hallway towards him, wearing a new set of boxers and tube-top.
>He had tried to get her to wear a button-down shirt for the sake of his heart but Lynn was incapable of figuring out buttons in her current state.
>He guided the barioth to the converted bed, lying her down and covering her body with a blanket.
>After Tucking in Lynn to bed with minor difficulty, he proceeded to take his own shower before retiring for the night.
>As he entered his darkened bedroom, he couldn’t help but think that this was certainly an interesting chapter in his life.
>First he met a girl that he got along with, a monster girl for that matter.
>And now he’s hosting her in his home, after a night of comfortable drinking and cuddling.
>While most of last night was terrifying, he wasn’t any less enchanted with her.
>He wistfully sighed as he walked made his way over to the bed, sitting down on the side and adjusting his pajamas.
>So after Lynn is gone, then what does he do?
>”…”
>All good things must come to an end, after all.
>He suddenly felt arms wrap around him as he was pulled under the covers, like a predator of the sea dragging its prey down under.
>He had let his guard down, it was a sneak attack!
>He tried to resist at first but hey eventually gave up as Lynn tightly embraced him, smooshing his face into her meager chest to calm him down.
>All good things must come to an end.
>But he couldn’t see himself ever getting tired of her company.
>Well, every rule has exceptions.
>And so another night passes for the two young hunters, their uncertain future quickly approaching.

>The two companions stood at the frozen airship terminal, their breath fogging against the morning air.
>Lynn clutched at Echo’s arm tightly, wriggling nervously in her jeans and coat.
>She wasn’t used to wearing clothing, especially ones so restrictive, but she was willing to do it if it didn’t attract attention.
>Echo tapped his foot impatiently as he eyed a man in a sailor’s uniform strolled casually down the boarding ramp
>Thankfully the guild had taken care of Lynn’s paperwork for traveling, though the people working security were still less than helpful about it.
>It was actually a miracle they made it on time, considering how difficult it was to get up in the morning with Lynn clinging to him.
>Not to mention the challenge of getting her to put on proper clothing, even if said clothing was designed for use by men, and looked almost comically oversized on her waifish frame.
>”May I have your attention ladies and gentlemen! Those who wish to travel to Loc Lac City may begin boarding now!” The man announced.
>The platform wasn’t terribly crowded, but it was about as busy as it ever got in the north.
>Echo nudged Lynn along towards the boarding ramp as people began to form a line.
>After showing a paper marked with the guild seal, they were both waved onto the small airship.
>It wasn’t anything special; in fact calling it a ship was a little generous.
>It mostly comprised of a small wooden frame held up by a hot-air balloon, with an open air top deck meant for seating passengers and a lower deck for the crew.
>The crew seemed to be mostly felynes, causing Echo to curse the fact that he had forgotten earplugs for Lynn.
>After everyone had boarded, hot air hissed as it was pushed into the balloon, the crew scurrying to release the cable ties to the port.
>”Fleas brace fur liftoff. Mew can use the railings or take a seat to brace furself.” A feline announced a little late as the ship violently broke away from the port, rocking and creaking as it sailed into the air.

After enough time has passed (blah blah men's spirit energy yada yada mamono mana) they molt their black scales off, revealing gold scales underneath. This new form is called Shagaru Magala. In this new form, they no longer need to use their antennae in concert with the virus in order to see; their molting has revealed their eyes. However, Shagaru Magalas are even fiercer than their original selves, and (insert description of lewd behavior patterns here; kink involves use of Frenzy to get her way no matter what).

>Echo sighed to himself as he leaned on the wooden railing of the ship, watching the clouds for movement.
>They had left the white north and were now over a healthy green landscape, meaning they were now in the territory of wyverns such as the Rathian and Rathalos.
>While they didn’t attack airships too often, it was still a possibility, and he didn’t trust the felynes to keep watch.
>He glanced at the crew who were enjoying their heavy winter jackets combined with the now warm sunshine.
>Some were servicing food and drinks to the few dozen passengers while most just cat-napped lazily.
>He clicked his tongue in annoyance at their carefree lifestyle, wondering how many of them knew how to actually operate one of the ballistae the ship sported.
>”Echo?” Lynn called out to him from her seat next to him, kicking her legs idly.
>”…What?” He replied with a rather bored and irritated tone.
>”Echo, no like fe-feel-felynes?” She questioned, struggling to remember the word.
>”…Why would you think that?”
>”Beclaws, Echo- mmph!”
>Echo closed the distance between them in a flash, grabbing a hold of Lynn’s shoulders and placing his masked face close to hers.
>”Because, Lynn. The word is because not beclaws. Do you understand?” He growled, his sharp eyes staring holes into her.
>Lynn nodded her head frantically, her startled senses almost overwhelming her.
>She trusted that Echo would never intentionally hurt her, but she had a hard time understanding his actions a lot of the time.
>”Good, I don’t want you-”
>Echo continued instructing her sternly and Lynn kept nodding, but wasn’t really listening anymore.
>He had given her this same talk several times already, but she still had a hard time differentiating words from when the felynes say them, and when humans say them.
>Still though, she couldn’t yet tell if Echo disliked the creatures or if behaving like them was some kind of taboo.
>It was probably best if she avoided them then, If Echo didn’t like them then it was probably for good reason.
>”Peanuts?” A felyne in a sailor uniform approached with an oversized tray of refreshments.
>The tray was so huge one could barely see the felyne behind the various drinks and bagged sacks, and Echo had to admit that while the sailor uniform looked comically adorable.
>”Hmm?” Echo turned his attention to the small creature, but it spoke again before he could reply.
>”Would mew like some complurrmentary peanuts Nyah? It repeated, its small paws trembling as it struggled to hold up the pile of refreshments.
>”Uh… I dunno, hey Ly-“
>Echo turned to see Lynn already holding a bag of peanuts, crinkling the plastic excitedly.
>It was clear that she was clueless as to the bag’s intended purpose or its contents, but Echo didn’t really care.
>While he didn’t really care for peanuts, he figured he would take a bag for himself and some water anyway.
>He thanked the felyne attendant and opened his bag, turning to Lynn to see if she had made any progress on figuring out hers.

>”…Lynn.”

>Lynn’s eyes went wide with understanding as she looked down at her bag of smashed peanuts.
>Summoning her strength, she swiped her claws and tore the bag to shreds, powderized peanuts and shredded plastic showering the two thoroughly.
>She yelped in surprise, before looking down at her hands and throwing some powder into her mouth.
>It tasted awful.
>She choked and gagged and wheezed, earning some laughs from the crew and passengers.
>Echo quickly grabbed ahold of Lynn’s head, and dumped some water down her throat.
>his grip was like Iron, but the water at least cleared her throat.
>When she was done coughing he stepped back, sighing.
>She couldn’t tell if it was a sigh of relief or annoyance.
>Human’s seemed to do a lot of communication through facial expressions, and her new body allowed her to pick up on certain cues; however Echo’s mask always made it difficult to tell what he was thinking.
>”Christ you’re a klutz Lynn, holy shit.” He said, brushing powder out of his hair.
>Ah, so he was mad at her, she screwed up again.
>Lynn began to pout when Echo flicked her on the forehead.
>”You’re such a child.” He said in a wistful tone as she recoiled and held her forehead and whimpered with teary eyes.
>”Here,” Echo handed her his bag.
>”Try not to die on this one, kay?”
>Lynn sniffled a little before taking a peanut out of the bag, and deftly broke it with her claws, eating the nut in the center.
>It still tasted awful.
>Lynn’s hair stood on end as she swiped the water out of Echo’s hands and chugged.
>These were terrible, but at the same time this container was a gift directly from Echo.
>This must be a test for her.
>If she wanted to be Echo’s lifelong partner than she would have to be able to handle any hardship.
>She wouldn’t let a damn bag of nuts get in the way of her goal.
>She summoned her courage as she peered into the bag, staring down the competition.
>This was it.
>It was do or die.
>”Guess that’s a no, huh?” Echo mused.
>”Well that’s ok, you can just- hey wait a minute Lynn!”
>Lynn shoveled handful after handful of raw peanuts into her mouth, before eventually pouring in the entire bag.
