Too many post in the drawthread general are flooded with requests, and we simply don't have enough artists to do them. Hence why I am making this thread: To not only help you want to learn how to draw, but also how to get better at it. This thread will be for posting tutorials, hints, tips, and critiques of your art work. I will be posting several very handy places and resources you can use. If anyone finds anything other tutorial, specifically on drawing actual monster girls, feel free to share. The whole point of this thread is to help people create more OC and art to help /monster/ thrive

Space Slice-of-Life CYOA
Even though there’s still a good handful of CYOAs running right now, I’ve had the idea for one since December (and would have run it then if Jewsh didn’t screw things up). I’ve also had classes for the past three months, and wanted to be able to devote all of my attention all day to the story, rather than having to juggle the story and school stuff. Why does any of this shit matter, you ask? Well guess what, I’m going to be running a CYOA. Don’t worry, I’ve done a few before, so I know what I’m doing
Running the story:
I’m planning on using greentext for everything, but I might separate dialogue out into regular text to make it easier to read. Also, this will be a purely suggestion-based CYOA, no dice or anything. Also try to remember to sage your posts.
Setting/Plot:
I’m planning on this being a basic slice-of-life story; you control the MC, who lives in a generic situation and the goal is to waifu a monstergirl. That’s the idea anyway. I’m not necessarily going to lock the story down to “waifu her”, but that’s where I’m hoping the story will go.
Shitposting:
Even though no dice or games of chance are going to be used to determine which suggestion is used, or how well said suggestion is carried out, I’m still going to disregard blatant shitposting. If it doesn’t make sense for the setting (a little give is going to happen since this story takes place in the future, but try to keep it realistic enough), or if it doesn’t make sense for the character to do, then it won’t happen.
Updates:
If there’s a post that would be a story update, but it doesn’t have the ID that I have (from the OP), then that person is a faggot. Also, I’ll be letting you guys know when to make a suggestion, and when I won’t be able to make updates for a while. Once the story comes to a conclusion, I’ll also tell you guys and then throw everything into a pastebin and archive the thread as well in case anyone wants them. I'll also come up with a better title once it ends too.

I woke up in a daze, my head ringing and my body numb. My eyes burned with a distinct, unnatural dryness, but through my blurred vision, I could see the red, sunset-lit sky, streaked with plumes of smoke. My ears rang out, dulling some distant screaming and crackling. Where am I? What happened? I close my eyes again and attempt to salvage my memories…
My name is Davis, and I've lived in the small town of Tinburin for pretty much my entire life. Life was simple and boring for the longest time, until I met her: Akasha. She was a Raiju, traveling the world in search of stability, in the face of several Order uprisings near several major cities, one of which she happened to live in. Many were driven out, as entire cities became outposts assist in some sort of classified operation; One that had been occurring in front of our eyes, yet somehow still remained a complete mystery. Rumors flew left and right, but none could explain their actions. The streets because increasingly hostile as more and more manlets were deployed to accomplish whatever goal they had been attempting to. At first, it was nothing more than random stops at the gates; Annoying, inconvenient, but rather tame and controlled, by Order standards. Eventually, however, curfews were being put into place and sentinels were being stationed to stop pedestrians to search them for "suspicious symbols or paraphernalia".
Fights began to break out as the Order became more and more strict in areas it had control over. People rebelled against their control, and blood was shed, both of monsters AND humans, on a daily basis. Anyone who could get out, did their best to do so. All this and more, Akasha told me, after we had met. She managed to flee with many others just before the cities were locked down. The Order had no interest in chasing down those attempting to flee, however, so life afterward was relatively carefree for her.
Akasha and I had met during Tinburin's Annual harvest festival. We bumped into each other as we attempted to navigate the crowds. Or at least I was attempting to. Those near Akasha knew better than to make physical contact with her body, but I hadn't been paying attention, and received a rather shocking reentry into reality. Next thing I knew, I was on the ground, surrounded by onlookers, with a rubber gloved hand reaching down towards me. I looked up to see her, her glorious blue eyes pulsating with energy and concern. For those of you that don't know it, NG+ is an expansive mod for the original mgq. In it, Luka is sent back in time through mysterious circumstances with his powers from the end of the game to the beginning of the first game and has to redo his adventure.
You can get 15 different endings, depending on your choices. Each ending has you end up with another monster. The mod includes romancing characters other than Alice, an expanded fight system with more balanced fights in which you need to think, a completely new story, new sex scenes with high quality art and more.
Romance options include the 4 spirits, the heavenly knights, alice, a few minor travel companions that will join you like Chrome and some not yet revealed characters.
The mod comes in 6 parts. 2 Parts have already been released and are available on the linked blog, the third part is in development and should release sometime this year.

Hey all you /monster/s. This is something I've been wanting to do for a while, and I finally worked up the liquid courage.
In this adventure, you'll decide the fate of our poor MC, Eric Newberry, a human wageslave at a fast food restaurant. Since the unfortunate bastard is still in high school, you'll get to balance homework with fending off amourous classmates, corralling rowdy customers, and dodging the most insane corporate oversight the danukis can devise.
The end of each episode will have 2-5 options, of which one will be chosen by popular vote.

You yawn and scratch your chest as you sleepily stumble your way downstairs. The stairs are narrow, which you're grateful for as bouncing off the walls keeps your groggy swaying somewhat under control. You sway like a drunken sailor in the mornings, something Mom used to laugh at.
You haven't heard her laugh, or anything else, in a long time. Just you and Dad now.
You walk into the kitchen and the scent of fresh-made cinnamon rolls fills your nose. You look around, half expect Dad, with his stupid 'Kiss the Cook' apron, to have snuck up behind you.
But no, all you see is your backpack, sitting right where you threw it last night, a thick stack of unfinished math homework spilling out, and a big plate of cinnamon rolls. With a note on top.
The note reads:
Eric-
I know today was going to be just a father/son day because of the pool finallt being open and all. But the hospital's short-staffed again. I really am sorry. I'll make it up to you, I promise.
Dad-
"Sure Dad, whatever," you mutter at the paper, whatever early morning good mood you had now gone.
A little bitter, you sit down with the rolls and a glass of orange juice and start to eat. The flavor is rich, sweet, and absolutely delicious. Your stomach takes over with the first bite; you've scarffed down three before you can even slow down.
As you eat, mow at a more sedate pace, you eye the math homework. You're garbage at math, and Mrs. Kennedy assigned a huge amount this weekend. If you're being honest with yourself, it could take all day. For you.
Then you look out the window the apartment complex's pool. The water looks so cool and inviting. And it's early enough that no one else is in it. You'd have to dig out your swim shorts, but you're pretty sure you remember what box you packed them in.
Just as you're standing up to go spelunking through the still-unpacked boxes, your phone rings.
"Hello?" you ask, trying not to sound too annoyed.
"Oh my! Eric, is that you?" says the sultry voice on the other end. It's your boss at Southern Fried Chicken, May Shimizu. You feel your pulse quicken and you try to swallow the sudden lump in your throat. Even May's VOICE is distracting; the rest of her has flitted through more than one late-night wank session.
"Y-yes?" you respond, then mentally berate yourself for sounding like an over-eager puppy.
"Oh thank goodness!" she breathes, as if you picking up saved the world. You swell hurr hurr with no small bit of pride.
She continues. "I knoooow it's your day off, Eric, and I am soooo sorry to ask this, but…."
"But, uh, what? Uh, ma'am?" you say, trying to sound smooth and professional.
"Well you see," she says, her words with all the roughness of fine silk, "the supply truck CAME in last night but Branwyn didn't. So us poor morning shift people have been pulling double trying to get ready for opening and put the product away. Now, I'm not maaaking~ you COME in on you day off, but it would be such a HUGE favor. Please?~~"

Imagine yourself visiting the local shrine, leaving an offering of sake to the goddess of fertility and patron deity of blacksmiths named Inari.
You hear a beautiful bell chime unlike no other and you go to the shrine quickly to see what's at the shrine making a beautiful chime.
You then see the goddess herself, Inari wearing her bell that made the beautiful sound. Inari has wide child bearing hips and her breasts big, is it no wonder she's a fertility goddess?
The fluffy tailed goddess, always fertile and in heat looks at you and asks for the sake you brought as an offering.
You give it to her, she drinks with her heart content and asks if you want to drink with her. You, a mere mortal blacksmith smiled and humbly accepted to drink with the goddess.
She took a liking to you, you always visit her shrine, always offering sake and cakes. She knows you were really devoted to her and desired to be with her. You were a blacksmith of renown and everyone turns to you for your skills. You gave credit to Inari for blessing you with your gift, always praying to her when you craft and always thanking her when your wondrous work is done.
Inari made a deal you can't refuse. She offers you a position to be a blacksmith god, but you have to marry her in return.
Accepting the offer to becoming Inari's husband, you live with her and feel the embrace of the warm bosom of the goddess herself.

Alright, I'll be blunt. I'm tired of the low tier shit. Elves, slimes, lamia- Even dragons are a bit too low-key. Who's in the mood to discuss monster girls who could depopulate an entire planet on their own? And not in the 'outbreeding' way they usually do. Anyone up for some fun in fantasy monstergirls land? This’ll be a bit of an empire/city management quest, though much more focused on characters.
I’ll begin by posting a few classes for you guys to choose, and then proceed with the introduction properly, there’s no need to be pressured into a consensus for your abilities for a while. We can take our time to decide how to shape the protagonist.

[Specialisation in long to medium battle with a knack for laying traps in mass battles.]
Adventurer: Jack of all trade for talents, able to efficiently combine all types of weapons. A certain knack to get out of sticky situations and naturally good to explore the harsh terrain, they have the greatest potential to use magical weapons. [No weaknesses or great strength, tailoring your weapons to the opposition is a smart plan. You are also naturally charming and charismatic; this force of personality will not go unnoticed in your entourage.]

As written in pic related, a bicorn can naturally produce enough mana for a maximum of 6 monsters for a harem, but why not more? I believe this limit is here because of their husband's limit on his memory. The average human brain can only hold up to seven objects in his working memory, this is otherwise known as the magic number. If the bicorn's mana can only handle 6 monster, that means the number of monsters in the man's harem is seven (6 monsters + the bicorn.) which is tailored perfectly to her husband's working memory. As long has the husband can keep all of his wives in his working memory during sex, there is less risk of a member being forgotten about, and thus less risk of disrupting the harem.

How would someone go about making a monster girl based image board based tactical strategy game?
I was thinking about making hex grids and the unit cards and the like, but how would battle work?
Would you prefer a stat based system or a rock/paper/scissors mechanic or some other kind of variant?

**When posting a command, roll a 1d20. The post with the highest number will be selected to continue the story with. A roll of 20 will result in a critical success of the command, while a roll of 1 will result in a critical failure. A critical failure will override all other commands except for a critical success.
There are two types of commands: Minor and major. A minor command is something that is inconsequential to the development of the story. Anything that won't influence the outcome of the situation at hand is a minor command, such as examining an object, asking someone a question or diddling your piddler when nobody is looking. A major command is something that will affect the overall story, such as picking a road to walk down or spontaneously deciding to rape the person in front of you. Major commands have to be rolled for and you can only make one, while minor commands do not have to be rolled for and you can make as many as you like. Hey there anons, I've been wanting to write again for a little while, so I brewed up a story framework for us to mess around with. I think it's pretty unique, but that bit won't really be important until I start writing the actual story. In any case, this'll be a bit different in terms of rolling and actions. What'll happen is you guys suggest actions for the main character to try, and inform me how they should do what you want them to do. Essentially, tell me what you want, and what stat to roll it on
I'll then roll a d20 for the result. The value of the stat we used to roll will reduce the value we'd need to make to pass the roll. This keeps things interesting and allows for silly crits and critfails without the autism of a whole thread full of memelords all trying to roll 20's on eating out our sister after injecting ourself with radioactive banana fluid.
Which brings us to stats, which are rolled on a d6. Go nuts, but remember that the entire thread only gets ONE REROLL.

Many, many years ago. Before our time, before the time of monster dominance, there was balance. Although they had their conflicts with one another, the realm of humanity and the realm of monsters maintained an order between the two species. Although monsters needed human men to reproduce, they survived through their long lives, and the willingness of many men who felt outcast from society to join their society or women who felt best to join their ranks. And even when wars did erupt or crisis presented itself, the two realms prospered and flourished. Until that fateful day.
They came from the sky, like falling stars, these titanic god machines. Each of them carried the power to shatter the earth, to move mountains and rule the skies. They varied in size and strength, but they all shared one similar quality, no human could control them. But they obeyed the monster race, they opened their hatches at a simple touch and imprinted on their new masters, and like naturals, the monsters that claimed each machine became experts at commanding them. They sat inside these colossal warriors, these "Super robots" and strode across the land, and in an instant the balance was broken.
No weapon man had could stand against the super robots, battle after battle, defeat after crushing defeat, and soon the combined armies of humanity was defeated. Monsters had become the dominant species on the planet and absorbed the human realm into their own, splitting it's regions under the rule of each of the great clans that controlled one of the super robots. Although not chained to slavery, humanity became second to the monsters, for their words were now law.
But not all humans fell to their conquerors. No, there were few that fled west, until the great machines no longer followed them. These humans eventually settled into small communities far from the world they had once known, small villages and towns filled with people that lived simple, but peaceful lives.
You are one of these humans, or at least an ancestor of those that came before. You, like everyone else from your little village of Rokusta, had never seen a monster or one of their great god machines. But you heard the stories, and you know the legends. And you would rather not have anything to do with such powers… So you live your life as always, a fisherman for your villages, going about your boring, but happy life…

Does anyone think of the main difference between a manananggal and a dullahan being that the upper body and lower body not being able to feel what the other is doing while separated? That way, if you get housed by one during an exchange program, while the sexually oblivious upper half is out doing errands during the day, the spicy lower half keeps you company and maintains a secret relationship with you, the upper half none the wiser that her lower half is consistently doing all manner of lewd things with you each and every day.
The only real major downside I can think of when it comes to her is that, since she's from the Phillipines, if she gets too absorbed in human culture, she will bully you a bit too hard if you're not circumcised. But then again, that's like expecting other monster girls to care that much about the sexual preferences of others.
The Mercenaries CYOA
So in that Tumblr catgirl VN thread I had an idea for an edgy story involving elf slavery and rape. Though after some thought and especially after suggestions from anons, I decided to remove rape, and even then elf slave isn't the sole feature of the story. Granted it's still "edgier" than most CYOAs here, seeing as how it's from the perspective of a mercenary leader with his troupe and the story starts out with him taking vengeance against an elven village, but I won't go overboard. Enjoy, anons.
You know, sometimes vengeance doesn't feel good. And I don't mean that in the whole prissy "revenge is wrong" bullshit they got in kids stories, I mean just plain meh. And it confused me, because I had every right to feel good. I lived a childhood that sounded like something out of those "donate to the poor" stories the nuns use to guilt-trip the wealthy. My first memories was seeing my small village wiped out by elven mages back during their wars with humans. I was one of the few survivors of the incident, and was thus brought into slavery for no reason other than being born a "lowly human". Whipped into obedience, worked to exhaustion, and abused in ways I don't want to get into. But unlike the others, they never broke me mentally. All they were really doing was making a furious little boy stronger by the day. I managed to escape by the time I was 12 and swore I'd train to avenge the humans who the elves enslaved. I worked as a mercenary, travelling from army to army for gold and to build my skills. Eventually, I formed my own mercenary troupe and achieved fortune and fame across the land. And whether I liked it or not, I made friends, had adventures, fought and/or fucked dangerous monsters, and even helped a few people along the way. It's kind of hard to let bitterness fester in you after that. Don't get me wrong, I promised that I would find JUSTICE for the humans that suffered under those damn knife-ears, but I found out that if you insist on being an edgy fuckwad about everything you'll miss out on what good the world has to offer. Hell, I'll even admit dark elves ain't so bad. A bit odd, but they share my disdain for light elves and they're a lot less uptight than their cousins. Also, dark elf hookers.
Now here I am, a 26 year old man standing amongst the corpses of the people who wronged me, and while I find solace I don't derive much pleasure from it. It was a shitty fight, at least 30 mages showed up to challenge me and they didn't even hold a candle to even one of those warlocks from the east. Knife-eared pride at work I guess. Maybe I killed them so fast I didn't get to enjoy watching them suffer? Nah, this was about JUSTICE, not sadism. I even let the elves uninvolved escape. Much as I hate them I can't say it's right to kill anyone who hasn't crossed me personally. Eventually, I just shrugged and supposed what needed to be done was done regardless of my personal satisfaction with the scenario.
I started to walk out of the village to find my horse and start a two day journey back to town. Hello, /monster/, with your help I'd like to make an easy, fun mod for a neat game that has /monster/ related material to it.
There is a game called Typing of the Dead, it's a spin-off of the House of the Dead arcade shooter, but its a PC game where you have to type words to kill zombies instead of just shooting them.
If you haven't played the series before, it's basically the "horror comedy" genre of game, it doesn't take itself seriously at all and the words you type reflect this. There are some downright funny words you need to type in it.
The best part about this game is the devs released a free modding tool to add your own custom dictionaries to the game. Basically all you need is a text file of words and you can add it in.
So that's what I want from you guys, please help me come up with a list of words or phrases to put into a /monster/ themed dictionary and I'll make the mod and link it here so other people with the game can use it.
No, I don't know if I can get mods to work with a pirated version, maybe someone knows more about that. The game is $20 on steam now and I would recommend it, but I understand if you don't want to spend that much.

Monstergirl vs. Anthro; where do you draw the line?
The bitter, bitter war between MGs and Anthros is a fact of life around here. However, both fetishes ultimately tap into the same xenophiliac base roots. Consequently, the line can get blurrier more than people care to admit.
So, just how and where do you draw the line? What traits do you call on to distinguish between a monstergirl and an anthro?
For example: this picture is G.I.N.A: Godzilla Inspired Naked Anthromorph. Once the mascot of Daikaiju Academy, a web-site subsection dedicated to profiles & artwork for sexy kaiju-based monstergirls, until the web-site's owner threw a hissy fit that more people were coming for her and her friends than for his shitty webcomic.
(No, it's not one of the best pictures of her, but it's the only one of the original artworks by her creator featuring her I can find now.)
Anyway, as you can see, her face is humanoid (though some of her friends aren't quite so human-faced, depending on the writer). But the rest of her body isn't. She's got no "distinguishing lines" between the scaly parts of her body, like one of KC's lizardgirls. Even her creator calls her an "anthromorph". So, does she count as a monstergirl?
Or, for a still-around example, look at Flora, tiger-girl female protagonist of the webcomic "TwoKinds". Her companion Natani is clearly an anthro, complete with snout. Flora, though, has a flat, anime-style face that is more "human with feline traits" than "expressive muzzle". She's got fur all over her body, paws for feet, and walks upright on digitigrade legs. Is she an MG or an anthro?
Heck, I'll even get a little personal here; a design for a hydra-girl I've been cooking up starts with a human girl as a basis. It gives her digitigrade, reptilian-pawed legs, claws on her fingers, an elongated and prehensile serpentine tongue, slit pupils, scaly skin, draconic horns, hair, and her "extra heads"; from her back, like a mockery of wings, she has scaly tentacles, each tipped with the small head of an anthro snake bearing draconic horns. Another, larger such tentacle-maw emerges from the base of her spine and functions as a tailmaw. Is she an MG or an anthro?

If THAT fails, then the VFEC is going to be made to keep vichan afloat while Hotwheels and the 2ch devs work on Infinity Next and make it actually work as needed.

I literally don't fit in. as in every place is too small. Protection against the Old Ones
Ok, so how does one protect himself from Mindflayers and Shoggoths in a Monstergirl Universe?
They serve the Old Ones and the only thing that works against servants of the Old Ones is the Elder Sign.
But that has become problematic, they respect the Elder Sign because its the symbol of the Old Ones. By using the Elder Sign one is basically marking himself as a servant to the Old Ones and from reading a lot of Monstergirl stories, that is not a smart thing to do if one wants to remain unraped.

The Demi-Human Exchange Program making a Lust Reducing Drug?
In July last year, the Demi-Human Exchange Program or DHEP enlisted a multitude of different chemists and Pharmacists to begin testing something that could potentially lead to many more volunteers stepping up. They began as of September 2015 to produce an simple lust reducing drug or LRD as they coined, that would lower monsters rather extreme sex drive.
A large majority of monsters have inhuman sex drive, commonly more than the man can take. We all know the stories of broken hip bones, emotionally harmed men, or virginity abruptly taken; but DHEP proudly claims it has a solution. Their test subjects were primarily harmful monsters such as Manticores, Ogres, and one Ushi Oni. The testing started October. Within two weeks of one pill per, the Ogres were experiencing lowered sexual desire. (Although not completely lowered to the point of no interest in sexual activities) 3 Weeks after that the husbands of the Manticores reported less intense and more relaxing intercourse with their wives and as of 2 days ago (Today being the 31st of January) a report came in that the Ushi Oni was just beginning to show extremely early stages of the drugs effects.
Some monsters still need actual methods of taking the drugs. There are currently no methods for slimes to take it, and while some test were made with plant like monsters, the team said they think a plant food like mode for the drug would be much faster acting.
We interviewed a few monster out on the streets and reactions seemed to go one of two ways. The first being that they were happy to see some method to calm themselves for when their at home with their husband or homestead owners, the other group was wondering if any side effect show up later on. DHEP decided to take the concerns of side effects into account and have decided to withhold releasing said drugs and will continue testing for the foreseeable future. They mentioned asking the World Health Organization for advice in the production and supposedly they agreed to assist creation of the drug.
