Recommend some Russian musicians and bands like Буерак and ssshhhiiittt! or post-punk, indie rock

music ok. lyrics start weak, then are ok, but never easily intelligible. if punk is about, to emphasize the poetry of the lyrics, minimizing the music, then post-punk ought to go beyond punk, beyond mere emphatic minimization: to torture the lyrics to their superlative poetry, cruxiate music to it's silent ascension. just as post-modernism is a superlative involution and extension of modernism (though, as well as punk, have nothing to do with their respective namesakes, but misnomial convention oughtn't control our knowledge)

What's the Arabic text Russian song about? The singer dances effeminitely with ak47s or rifles on his shirt and jackets. I'm trying to find what that message means.

If you like post-punk you should try Utro.

I don’t listen to much classical but I’d like to start. I stumbled upon this piece of music and I’m enthralled by it and want to find more like it, what sort of classical is it? What is a requiem?

absolute trash. please don’t post that meme music here again

There's a lot of good instrumental music being made for anime, but it's hard to get people to even consider it. It's either no good because it wasn't made before the 20th century by important establishment-approved people, or because soundtrack music can't be real music, or because anything associated with anime has to be bad.

I should mention that I recently learned that Christian Vander (Magma's mastermind) got flake at some point because he said that Indians and Apefricans were "helpless degenerate primates".

That's nice, because "Mëkanïk Dëstruktïẁ Kömmandöh" is the perfect soundtrack for a racial cleansing.

found these guys a while ago but have been listening to them a lot lately. a bit industrial darkwave-y and gothic but very good music to read or study to.

also DIIV, beach fossils, and What Moon Things are HQ picks. Someone Who Isn't Me by the latter has some of my favorite songs on it. Quit, Party Down The Street and Carpet Farm.

this might get you started. I'd personally prefer a traditional dream pop route, and if you enjoyed Candy Claws you might go that way. Anyway, here's some albums that might fill your cravings:

Paavoharju - Yhä hämärää

Asobi Seksu - Citrus

Lush - Split

LSD and the Search for God - S/T

DoZzz - Poem of Love ◇ Poem of Sadness

Slowdive - Souvlaki (kind of an essential if you are starting on dreampop shoegaze)

Ecstasy of St. Theresa - Pigment

>"redpilled metal bands" and "national socialist music" mean exactly the same thing

Being redpilled literally means being retarded.

Searching for "redpilled" music is similarily retarded. If you can't judge whether the music does what you want or more you are retarded.

Immortal Technique is redpilled.

Still doesn't explain funeral doom

Stoner/modern doom literally all sounds the same, not closely similar. All the guitar tones are the fuzzed and tubed sound, vocalist mimicking the range of Ozzy, and all the lyrics talk about getting stoned or getting sad from what I've been mostly recommended and listened to. It all feels like a giant tribute to Black Sabbath rather than a legitimate genre and the artists even acknowledge it. More to do with the problem of modern art than the genre perhaps.

I wouldn't call it jazz metal, but Native Construct sounds very similar to the song you sent. I would call both bands prog metal.

I checked out Native Construct and it sounds like what would happen if FNM/Mr. Bungle/literally anything Mike Patton is involved in decided to binge listen to a shitload of Czech grindcore. Nice, kinda weird, down my alley though.

Progressive metal was also influenced by regular metal, which was influenced by rock, which was influenced by blues, which was influenced by African American slave songs. Does that mean progressive metal is influenced by African American slave music? Dysrhythmia aren't jazz-influenced. I don't know why someone saying that would make them an elitist.

I don't really like most of the stuff ITT I think it's a meme, metal is better by itself and so is jazz. Embed is Gorod, they're metal but some of the riffs are very reminiscent of jazz.

Does /mu/ know about any good music players?

I'm looking for one that has

-large storage or at least expandable memory

-flac support

-the ability to play all songs on shuffle

That last one is eluding me. My sandisk clip jam has no support for more than 2000 songs and I have way more than that.

This but use Poweramp. It's proprietary but hands down the best player for android.

I just use foobar 'cuz "muh open source"

I can't help you there. I just stick to an old Clip+ I picked a couple up when they were $20 for refurbished ones back before they were discontinued. It's too bad they haven't brought them back with better build quality (one ended up crapping out on me).

Pic related.

I don't think Foobar2000 is open source, it's just freeware.

Can we talk about no wave?

Been listening to Mars - Complete Studio Recordings lately, it's pretty sick

As far as No Wave goes i've only heard early Swans, not the biggest fan but it's "nice" from tiem to time

I decided to re-listen to No New York, and I was surprised that I liked it better than when I first got into No Wave. It's usually the opposite thing with most experimental music with me. I guess no wave is different in that it always had a strong sense of rhythm, despite being weird and having a lot of outsider cred.

Not strictly a part of the scene, but I have been listening to Chrome a lot.

It's good but inspired a lot of faggotry

Limp Bizkit, Grindcore, cheesy 80s romance music, Justin Bieber, The Shaggs - Philosophy of the World, Metallica - Lulu, Twenty One Pilots, Animal Collective, The Beatles, (your least favorite band here), dubstep, vocaloid, pop music, weird foreign music, African voodoo drum music, Rush, obscure vinyls, the Living Tombstone, Bob Marley… there's like no music I don't like at least a little bit.

Try to find a band I'll dislike. Bet you can't.

Truth is, artists are too retarded to have even remotely consistent politics, let alone correct ones.

In Touching from a Distance, his former wife whines about his habit that he had a habit of ripping on Indians for not using toilets. I think it's the Rudolf Hess comment you're thinking of, although Ian Curtis was really just into Nazism for the aesthetics. You can't really blame him for the fascination.

I don't know much about John Maus, but he comes across as a huge faggot from his Wikipedia article.

Savage, as Jim Goad usually is. I'm legit poor though and mostly because of societal neglect and hatred of the mentally ill and criminally insane. Most people hate what I do and I get off on it. But despite all that, I'm not gonna hate on classic rock or something like The Bee Gees. Good tunage is good tunage.

Most of what I do is to be as confusive as possible. Always making the listener second guess themselves.

Nazbol, because it missed everyone off and is purposefully attention seeking
