I maintain muh forest, it's about 25 acres.

Nobody has taken care of it in a long time, and fines have had years of unrestrained growth, and they've killed a bunch of trees already.

Furthermore, machete's cannot cut thick vine, only a saw, thick clips, pruner, or chainsaw can.

A few weeks ago I went on a walk innawoods near my place and saw this glorious old cottonwood covered in vines.

I immediately scrambled to get the vines off of it but after I did it was clear the damage was done. The bark under the vines showed obvious signs of insect invasion.

This tree's probably been here since before white man came and now it's going to have a miserable death at the hands of vines and bugs… Had I only found it a few years earlier.

Feels bad man.
