We have a serious crisis of uninformed voting in America, and obviously the GOP is failing somehow at correcting it. Leaving aside the potential fraud involved in elections such as California’s governor and Texas’s governor and senator, it is obvious that American voters are angry at Republicans and even willing to return to the Democrat Party of extreme inflation, racial hatred, terrorism, foreign pandering, domestic rights trampling, and high taxes just to punish Republicans. Or perhaps a lot of voters genuinely are so disconnected from news that they don’t know what Democrats think? The defeat of amendments that Dem leadership enthusiastically supports in Democrat-run states indicates as much.

ABC/SnapStream On Thursday, in more post-midterm election fallout, the network morning shows continued to celebrate Democrat wins across the country. After heavily focusing on the economy as an attack point on President Trump and Republicans throughout the election cycle, ABC’s Good Morning America and CBS Mornings touted stock rises on Wednesday and insisted Democrats have already led to gas prices falling. Later in the day, stocks subsequently crashed and erased some of the gains touted by ABC and CBS.

Even though Republican candidates were largely defeated in Tuesday’s midterm elections, voters in multiple states did succeed in passing ballot measures bolstering the integrity of their elections.On Tuesday, three states - Ohio, Nevada and North Carolina - passed ballot initiatives amending their constitutions to require voters to provide photographic proof of identity in order to cast a ballot. The North Carolina measure approved by voters extended the requirement of photographic evidence to mail-in ballots.In the previous two-year period (2024-25), voters approved 10 state ballot initiatives requiring voters to provide proof of identity, while rejecting three.

Days before the midterm elections, the Government Accountability Institute found that Michigan Democrat Abdul El-Sayed made a previously unknown trip to Colombia in 2022 where he met with CEOs of several nonprofit groups, some of which have direct ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. El-Sayed has repeatedly denied or deflected charges that he and members of his family have connections to the Muslim Brotherhood, claiming such charges were anti-Muslim. On Election Night, commentator Joe Scarborough of MS NOW called such criticism of El Sayed “Islam phobia” [sic]. Peter Schweizer, president of GAI, batted those charges away on his podcast, while taking a swing at Scarborough.

Trump Signs Proclamation Establishing the Oval Office as a National Monument to Prevent it from Being “Ripped Down by Stupid People” (VIDEO)

President Trump signed a proclamation on Thursday to turn the Oval Office and the Cabinet Room into a federal landmark and a National Monument under the Antiquities Act.
The proclamation will turn the White House areas into “a landmark for the ages,” he said. “We’re making it a national monument, and it will not be allowed to be touched by anybody, destroyed, ripped down by stupid people, in order to build something in a slightly different shape.”
Trump has made several improvements to the Oval Office during his second term, including adorning the room with 24-karat gold fixtures and accents.
Democrats and Barack Obama have attacked Trump over his White House renovations, with Obama comparing it to the Cheesecake Factory. “What’s up with the gold? Everything, more gold! He’s got the White House looking like Saddam Hussein opened up a Cheesecake Factory. It’s gold everywhere!” Obama said recently. Trump has slammed the classless former president, saying he didn’t notice the decay of the White House.
“He doesn’t understand it because he’s not a smart guy. Let me tell you, in my opinion, he’s not smart at all because the way he ran the country, only a stupid person would run the country like that,” Trump said of Obama after his attacks on the White House renovations.
“It won’t be able to be taken down, destroyed, touched, or anything else,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office on Thursday.
“I just thought it was very important that nobody be allowed to come in and take it down and try and do something with it because every once in a while, they’ll look and they’ll say, ‘Oh, maybe what we’ll do is we’ll put some glass up that’s a little bit better or something.’ And I say, ‘No, you’re not going to do anything. We’re going to leave this as it is.’ It’s a great landmark, and that goes for the Cabinet Room too.”
“So, we’re going to be declaring it a national monument, and we’re going to send it over to Congress to have it ratified,” he noted.
Trump added that the bill, when signed by Congress, would mean “no major modification without the approval of Congress.”
“So if they want to say let’s not have oval anymore, let’s make it square, what happens is they have to go back to Congress, and hopefully the Congress, the people in Congress, will be smart enough not to let that happen,” Trump said.
“And that includes also the cabinet room. You know, just we’ve had great victories in these rooms, and they’re so important. I mean, I have people coming. The biggest business people, you know, they have beautiful offices; they walk in here, and they say, ‘This is incredible.'”
“It’s the whole, it’s the whole aura of the Oval Office and the Cabinet Room,” he added.

Since its establishment in its present location and form during the administration of President Franklin D. Roosevelt, it has served as the principal working office of the President of the United States. Decisions of profound national and international consequence have been made within its walls. It has hosted heads of state, shaped the daily conduct of the executive branch, and become a symbol of the American Presidency itself.
The room’s distinctive oval design, first introduced in the West Wing under President William Howard Taft and refined in the early 1930s, reflects both practical and ceremonial purposes. Its architecture, finishes of lasting character, and continuous association with the Presidency give the Oval Office exceptional and unique value in illustrating the history of the United States. The Oval Office possesses an unmatched and unique combination of location, design, setting, materials, workmanship, and an association with historical events that are embedded in our national consciousness.
The White House and its grounds are Federal property administered as part of the President’s Park by the National Park Service and are already recognized as a National Historic Landmark. Nonetheless, the Oval Office merits specific recognition and protective management as a discrete historic structure of national significance.

One of the more striking things about my liberal friends is how they keep fantasizing about how Trump is an authoritarian who is upending the Constitutional order (He will cancel the midterms and put the military outside voting stations!) as they fantasize about seizing companies, jailing or killing their political opponents, and "Trump-proofing" America by permanently changing the Constitution. Every accusation is a confession, and in this case I mean literally. They think Trump would do those things because it is precisely what they want to do themselves.
