I think Kiki's avatars usually retain proportions, their Pale Woman looked pretty slim compared to Drithique's xenoqueen, which for a titty monster i kinda liked actually. I wouldn't have minded losing to those two, they did a lot more custom job than i did.

I think it is silly how seriously people took the outcome of the contest. For me the contest(s) were just an excuse to make something new. Doing that and showing the endresult off should be reward enough for anyone.
Not everyone can make their own items/textures, nor should they need to.
All in all it's just a event supposed to be fun, joining it with expectations to win seems counterproductive to me.
