I'm trying to get back into reading, but it's hard, the problem is that the internet has a lot of instant gratification, and a cycle that keeps you in, with books it feels like it's gunna take forever for something amazing to happen, or for you to finish the chapter and the book, and theyre the sort of place the gratification comes with that, I need to push through it and get used to the slow burn again instead of hot flashes.

I guess that's not so good.
I remember when I was 13, some lads from school set me up with some random chinese girl in our year for their own amusement, and even though she accepted we didn't look at or go near each other for the two weeks the "relationship" lasted. Didn't even get a hug, let alone an "I love you".

Met her at college, she basically did all the talking as I was beta as fuck. Invited herself over one evening with a sob story and ended up staying the night. Later on I found out she was a pathological liar and already had a bf. Not little lies either, most were about dramatic shit like being in car crashes when the passenger next to her had died.
Yeah I've never picked any girls up and I wasn't invited to any house parties during school. This was the first and only girl I have slept with.

Passed first time with no minors and only 2 weeks of lessons, driving was the easiest thing in the world for me for some.
My first lesson I wanted to drive fast and was confident. My instructor said that even though I was over confident I was basically 9/10ths of the way there already since I didn't have anxiety and wasn't second guessing myself or not committing myself to what I was doing which apparently is where a lot of leaner drivers go wrong.
You've just got to own it, make a decision and stick with it when you're on the road, then it should become a lot easier.

Females tend to be better at organisation, note taking and that properly presenting their knowledge, whereas males tend to be better at more hands on stuff, and actual physical acts. Depending on the degree this can be a big deal, with females tending to be better at essays and shit, although the lack of women in STEM could be down to the need to do stuff like lab experiments, programming, etc which are more naturally aligned with men, but even then there's still a large influence of the more "academic" side of things, even in polytechnics.
There's also the fact that at university age, males are more likely to be suffering from depression, and from my experience just don't have their shit together as well as females do.

Pretty much the same situation here, all my GCSEs are in the E - C range and I didn't do A levels either.
The only education-related thing I ever did well in was my BTEC national diploma in music technology which was mostly practical work and I'd already taught myself how to do it all in my own time while I was still in school. The only reason I didn't get a distinction overall is because I fucked up every single part that involved things like writing, researching, organisation and group work. In fact I nearly didn't get on the course at all because I didn't have a C level English GCSE which was one of the requirements, but they kept quiet about it because they were really impressed with the stuff I had been making at home.
I didn't think about what I'd do after that though. I don't really know how employment works, and I've just sat here doing nothing in particular for the last 4 years.

Yeah it's known that motivation /dedication functions a lot like a muscle. The more little things you do the stronger/easier it will be.
It's why you can have good days when you do a load of stuff, then be back to useless the next day. Doing small increases in activity regularly is the best method, which is why basic stuff like waking up at a certain time / making a routine can be so positive.

I'm not really enjoying it, it's just some nutter and his headmate wanting everyone watching his stream banned for dumb reasons and then the chat pretending to cheer him on. At least I hope it's pretending, it's gotten to the point of arse licking.

I'm off to bed, once I've cleared everything off it anyway. Lots of audio gear everywhere because I thought I'd set my old mic up to ease myself into being able to talk while streaming, but I couldn't get myself to speak into it even when I was alone in the house and not streaming/recording at all. I just freeze up and choke if I try to speak, like I'm temporarily mute or something.
I've learned through recent experience that exposure is the best way to overcome social anxiety, as I've done with being able to post on anonymous imageboards and walk around outside, but I'm at a loss for where to start with "being unable to talk". I don't think going to therapy for it will work, because I've had two therapists before and each time I was only able to produce monotonous single-word responses whilst frozen stiff and staring at the floor.
Anyway, I can barely keep my eyes open right now, I'll look into it more tomorrow. Goodnight guys.

Is that what normally happens during a wet dream? I don't think I came - would I know about it if I did?
No.17497
>>17496
I think you would know if you came, it's usually a really intense orgasm that wakes you up, similar to how the climax of a nightmare does, but messier.
If it's just a small wet patch around the area the tip of your penis rests, it could just be pre-cum. If the boxers just feel generally damp all over, it's more likely to be sweat.

That's sad to hear, I had a fat ps2 that stopped reading discs (and started destroying them) around the time the slim one came out, so I got one of those to replace it and left the other one at my dads. They've been clearing the loft out this year so I was reunited with it, and I've "revived" it by getting the network adapter and putting a 320GB hard drive in it to run games off of.
I did of course have to use my slim PS2, a SwapMagic disc, and a memory stick to install FMCB Free Memory Card Boot - let's you run homebrew software like ESR which can play "backup" discs to the memory cards in the first place though. I believe it can be installed using a USB memory card adapter for PC, and there's probably places you can buy memory cards with it preinstalled, but I haven't done either of these myself.

Every now and again it used to be ok as it was a nice dream. But lately it has been tormenting me every single night for about a week. I'm not sure if all even have gfs involved, some might just be people being nice to me. Every morning it hurts waking up to my reality.

>Every morning it hurts waking up to my reality.
I know that feel, almost every dream I've had for the last decade has involved friends I had in school and myself getting up to various antics, exploring places or just having a laugh together. Then I wake up and remember that those days are a distant memory, and now I have no friends at all.
On a related note:

I didn't think of that actually, thanks for the suggestion. I'm still scared shitless of the idea and probably won't do it, but it's more possible than conjuring friends out of thin air to practice the very skills one already needs to have in order to make friends in the first place.
