Why does Shaggy look more like an adult than the rest of the cast? Isn't he supposed to be lanky and immature?

And why did they get this shrimp of a breed to play Scooby? He's not brown at all, and he looks way too small to play the part. Was it really that hard to get some big brown dog that represented the same goofy nature Scooby had (pic related)? The fact that they couldn't even get the series' mascot to look right doesn't really give me a lot of hope for this one, as with most live-action adaptations.

What killed the flash animation age? Was it simply a change of medium? Was it simply inherently part of the old internet culture, fated to fade away in the vein of lolcats, youtube fads and ytmnd?

>Was the 'golden age' of Flash really a thing?

There are many bad posts on /co/, but this is among the worst. You are not welcome here, boomer, and neither are your blogposts.

To answer your question, the golden age of Flash did exist, and what geriatric redditors like you don't understand is that it was defined by the atmosphere and attitude of its contributors as much as the technology. Flash had plenty of problems with stability and usability, but it was THE standard and propagated in a completely organic way without being bundled on iMacs or anything. The community (as in the actual meaning of community, not the corporate doublespeak abused today) of people who wanted to create things in this unwieldy mess of a program were people who valued the kind of freedom and artistic creativity.

The golden age of Flash was like the American West - the land itself may have been barren in many places, but the possibility for adventure and discovery was like nothing else before or since. It was sculpted by young men who felt they could make something for themselves because it was cool, or interesting, or whatever reasons they had. Flash wasn't just a tool - it was a tool only someone with a very specific interest would pick up in the first place.

Naturally they didn't set out with the intention of building any kind of lasting legacy or foundation, but they did make a lot of animations, games, and the like which inspired other people and left lots of work behind. Then Apple and Google decided to stop supporting it, and now it's an obsolete technology like typewriters and vintage cars.

>durr i saw some neat stuff on tha intarweb, kiddo

And I guarantee under every one there's a Patreon link or a Ko-Fi profile or some other kind of insufferable microtransactable garbage. Nothing is sacred anymore, even autists scribbling on the internet for fun. That's what the future of internet animation and games development looks like thanks to megacorps and big-box service providers.

You'd need a work ethic, which nobody here has, or they'd already be pro, and you'd need a way to milk the consumers so you could turn pro, which doesn't exist beyond merch and advertising because the current business model is free dissemination.

You could use the animation and games as advertising for commissions, but you have to be choosy, Paul Kidd got put on a sex offenders registry for accepting cubfur commissions.

He’s edgier than the Joker and really drives home the stupidity of Batman’s no kill rule.

I mean, this isn’t Mr. Freeze where he’s driven by love or Two-Face who’s driven by revenge and a treatable mental condition. This is a dyed in the wool psychopath who’s carving people up. It’s like when Joker stopped being a clown themed mobster and started being a clown themed mass murderer and terrorist. It makes Batman look like the ultimate hypocrite when he says “Oh, if I kill them then I’m just as bad as them” when the Joker kills an entire kindergarten class.

Batman’s gone from being worried about the ethics of crime fighting to Justin Trudeau worried that if he kills his enemies they’ll win.

So I was looking for a new comic to read and I literally just stepped over this.

So, anon, do you remember issue #1? Me neither because it came 7 months ago, there was something, something… Drumpf, something, something Steve Jobs.

Our two main characters were an insufferable bitch that puts everyone at risk for a shitty movement and a morally gray character that could be well written but isn't.

If I need to remind you, this cover was part of the preview art shown nearly a year ago, hasn't even been colored.

And the map is really confusing also, in the previous issue it stated that Calexit already happened and the American gov. recognized their independence if it wasn't okay about it… it makes as much sense as you think.

>Thus far, details about the new “Daria” are sparse, but we do know that it will be called “Daria and Jodie.” Jodie is, of course, Jodie Landon, who played a big role in the original series, which ran from 1997-2001. Jodie struggled with being one of the few African-American students at the suburban Lawndale High, and she felt opposing pressure from both her parents and her classmates when it came to her identity and her future.

>“Daria and Jodie” is just one of many reboots studios have announced lately: The CW announced the cast for the reboot of “Charmed” earlier this year, and Candice Bergen is going to return for a “Murphy Brown” reboot. “Daria and Jodie” promises to be the most sarcastic of all of them, though.

>In the original “Daria,” the main character was voiced by Tracy Grandstaff, and Jodie was voiced by Jessica Cydnee Jackson. MTV hasn’t said whether they’ll participate in this reboot, but it has confirmed that Grace Edwards is writing the series. Edwards has previously worked for many funny and sharp television programs, including “Broad City,” “Inside Amy Schumer” and “The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt,” so she definitely has the comedy chops to bring >Daria’s signature wit and deadpan delivery to life.

The “Daria and Jodie” series will be just one of many new programs from MTV Studios. MTV is remaking other favorites, including “Made” and “The Real World.” They are also working on a live-action remake of the 2005’s hit movie “Aeon Flux.”

>All of these new programs are being pitched to subscription video-on-demand services such as Hulu, Netflix and Apple, as MTV is seeking new ways to reach viewers now that so many people are cutting the cable cord. So, even if you don’t have cable, you will be able to access the new shows.

Mediocre trash gets pumped out every single year, so why is worth getting mad at it all? Acting Nihilistic about media and society in general will not make any of it any better, and destroying entire industries and going back to what was with is not a guarantee for success, especially in an era that wouldn't appreciate any of it. Making something new is the most constructive method, but hard to implement and popularize. What would be the least destructive method of bringing up the quality of media while bot succumb to those that made it stale?

Keep in mind that the only reason we have this widespread sickness and trash worship in the industries is because they're practically cartels, and their dominant market shares let them get away with pushing their sociopolitical agendas. Comics, film, television, and animation are shining examples of this. And because they produce the majority of content in their respective industries and own the distribution systems, they can condition people to accept garbage, so long as it's slightly better than obvious garbage, because it's the only "good" content being produced.

However, when you look at vidya, and the attitudes going on over there, you'll find that more people care about the quality of their games, which is a result of a global highly competitive mostly-free industry. That's why they don't use the word originality when describing the quality of games, but innovation, and it's also why a lot of gamers have no tolerance for mediocre, pretentious or rehashed games, and are up in arms about political propaganda being pushed in gaming. There's always a powerful desire in vidya to outdo yourself and others, to exceed even your own expectations. You'll never find that in the aforementioned cartelized industries, because there's no sense of competition. The solution is to level the playing field by decentralizing comics, film, television and animation. Let creators and studios sell their works directly to the consumers like games do now globally, without any intermediaries, not this streaming service vitamin water-type bullshit, but platforms, like Steam. And most importantly, let there be competition between creatives and studios to keep standards high and each other in check. Hell, let creatives sell shares of their works to attract investment. Who wouldn't want to have shares in popular profitable creative franchises?

If the answer is more competition, then why haven't comic book companies up their game as they lose profits but manga sales skyrocket?

Like Decade or not, a crossover between the two anniversary Riders not happening would be as big a blow as the fact we’ll never get a Kuuga x Agito movie, especially with how similar their gimmicks and designs are.

technically Fourze was an anniversary Rider as well but a large part of that plot was left behind.

We already know Decade will make some kind of appearance later with the fact that one of ZI-O's upgrades is using the Decade ridewatch along with a third watch. For reasons. More than likely he'll show up unless the actor is that busy with Garo stuff.

Fourze is only an anniversary season in concept that got left behind since it was too close to Decade to do another anniversary season. But elements of this dropped concept are kept in the web specials sadly lost to the ages since there's zero torrents of them.

I just really don't like Decade. Like it's very obviously a rushed production for a neat idea that needed more time to flesh out. Instead you have a series where it's summarization is "there is no story". Then there's the fact Decade is a bigger Gary Stu than Kabuto and isn't even as likable. They could've done more with the whole actually being a leader of a multiverse Shocker.

**Fourze is also one of my favorite Riders and it being much more unique instead of trying to ape Decade probably turned out for the better. The forms they had for the concept were awful.

>why didn't they just start the comic's story with the first Sonic game like the Mega Man comic did?

Probably meddling from SEGA to make Sonic Forces moar relevant, which wouldn't be such an issue if Forces wasn't wasted potential.

Ian Flynn himself fucked Mega Man up when he wouldn't stop jerking off to that stupid Xander Payne OC of his. Archie was just incredibly retarded and made things even worse with their incompetence.

I'd say it's "Solve for X" animation. The equation is always the exact same, just a variable like being in a park, a police show, or being about a black person makes it any 'different' than the others.

I think they might literally be written by a computer program at this point.

I watched the first episode when he didn't have anything better to do. It's pretty shit but has a funny moment here and there.
