I think he wants a clearer picture of his current image. If he had the onion skin on as well as the two layers it would be quite "busy"..

It's always nice to watch lazily animated stuff like this because it shows you how little actual animation you need to do sometimes. I'd heard somewhere that animation is 70% about the audio; I'll be damned if I know how they came up with that specific number but it does seem to ring true at times.
