Apple has pulled back the curtain on an all-new Mac Pro with something of a throwback design. Goodbye garbage can, hello tower.
The new design will dissipate heat better than the 2013 Mac Pro and will also be more modular and easier to customize. It features a removable aluminum enclosure that lifts up to reveal the innards.
The new Mac Pro promises to be incredibly powerful with support for Xeon processors up to 28 cores, 1.5TB of memory, eight PCIe expansion slots and a new graphics architecture and new accelerator card that enables playback of three streams of 8K ProRes video simultaneously.
