Might be a decent starting point for adding networking to TempleOS
Terry Davis, I'm CIA,
You don't get to bring friends into the Temple, why would I want them?
The plan I just filled with the Agency list me, the Antichrist, but not you.
First one to talk gets to stay in my Temple!
Who paid you to build TempleOS Terry?
Where is the agent that was MIA in 1999?
TempleOS keymap change
As a scandinavian, how do I change the temples keymap to something else? The system is rendered useless to me as I can't even do simple stuff because of wrong keymap.
Checked the site, but the supposed links to information about it werent linked at all, just plain text.
sfsdfHave you taken the brown pill yet, mateys?
it's a tough pill to swallow! The brown pill was founded in 1999 by Sir Reginald Brownpill, who presents and narrates the attached video.
Forget red and blue pills, brown pills are the way of the future.

Terry, what do you think of hacker news?
Terry, I know you got shadow banned because they don't like the word nigger and ycombinator got taken over by SJW and fags.
But do you still visit when one of your videos gets posted?
Do you enjoy the arguments they get into about your supposed mental illness?
It seems to me that many of them can't deal with having a truly capable person who does not agree with their status quo.
some questions
Terry, do you believe that templeOS is the literal biblical third temple of prophecy? It's my understanding that the new temple of the holy spirit, as built by jesus, is the body of every believer. Also, I (politely) find it difficult to believe that God speaks through the program. I struggled with the question of how God influences our world in a (mostly) deterministic universe and I also came to the possible conclusion that the supernatural world and and natural one exchange information at the places where we can see no other possible source of the information. However, isn't that just a safer version of the 'God of the gaps' theory? Also, if there is intelligent meaning in the numbers that come from the Oracle, would statistical analysis show that the numbers represent more than just an even distribution that we'd expect from random numbers? If information is being communicated, shouldn't it be discernable from gibberish even if we don't know exactly what it says? I don't mean to attack you or your project, but I don't believe in the Oracle and I especially dont believe that you have constructed the third temple of Jewish prophecy, which would cross into false prophet territory.

Hey, Terry,
Why don't you post in >>>/tech/ anymore? Did the mods ban you or something?
Got the next 6 weeks off of work so I've resolved to get back into programming with Temple OS since it's self contained and distraction-free (not talking about the interface of course but the lack of internet access and games that eat up a lot of time). I'm not too rusty, I only had to give up programming for 3 weeks, but I don't have very much experience with C. First thing I've decided to work on is a simple puzzle game to familiarize myself with the API and get back into C-type languages in general. It doesn't really do anything now but I've only been on it for a couple of days now and I'll try to post progress daily. The interface will look better too, it's just going to be the last thing I focus on.
Can/will TempleOS be ported to ARM? x86(_64) isn't going anywhere that soon, but it's future looks grim. Everyone is adopting ARM, and since Windows 10 and Metro applications will work cross-platform, that will make replacing x86 with ARM no problem for the desktop, which will make companies more inclined to do so. Even AMD is getting into ARM chips for servers. I don't want God's temple to sink with x86.
I haven't seen the source code for TempleOS, but I'd imagine it would largely need to be rewritten, as well as having the ARM version be entirely separate, since having one version support both would add extra code. What do you think Terry? Is this a concern at all for you?
Terry, do you only use RedSea instead of FAT because you're afraid of a lawsuit?
I'm pretty sure there's no chance of that happening if you just don't sell TempleOS. There's tons of open-source projects that use FAT and they've never had a problem because of it, namely FreeDOS and ReactOS (ReactOS especially, they're super anal about legal stuff). Linux also has drivers for it, that's never had a problem either. I'm pretty sure that whole lawsuit thing was because a company was selling a product with FAT in it, without a license.
Even then, have you ever just thought of making a new type of filesystem that's less restricted than RedSea? The flat filesystem design sounds very debilitating, if I can be so bold.
3D Printing
Terry I just ran across you work you did on a 3D printing / CNC machine.
Care to give us a little history about how that came about and what happened to the project.
You were certainly ahead of your time having worked on desktop 3D printer / CNC machine in 2003. Desktop 3d printing didn't really get started until 2007 with the RepRap Darwin.
TempleOS in QEMU
Hey, Terry. Does TempleOS run in any other virtual machines besides VMWare? I want to use QEMU, but it hangs up at this screen. Is there a way to make output more verbose so I can find out what the problem is?
Actually, just found out: it works fine when using only one core. Also, your OS doesn't really let the CPU idle, does it? My laptop fan is spinning permanently (although not too bad) when TempleOS is running.
Temple OS on MMIX
Hi Terry,
Thank you to have build Temple-OS.
Why did you build Temple OS on a Commodore 64 and not on MMIX machine written by Donald E. Knuth ?
Don wrote this in one of his book :
"Write a book about operating systems, which includes a complete design of an NNIX kernel for the MMIX architecture.''
Why didn't you make it ?
Bye
Happy Easter!
Hi Terry,God talks!
You can talk with God on Twitter, at http://twitter.com/temple_os.Bayes
Hello Terry. Thanks for building the Temple. Do you know Bayes' Theorem?Holy C
Hey Terry. I'm very interested in your compiler and holy C. It seems like a really nice language and definitely has VERY nice assembly support. I'v always wanted to learn about OS development and C99 does not have good support for things like that. Have you ever thought of doing a series of videos explaining the basics of your compiler and how one would go about implementing it? Would you consider making a binary for larger OSs (Windows/Linux?).Cain/Abel International Miracle Competition

Whither, 'midst falling dew,Emacs
What do you think about Emacs, Terry? A video in which you showed how the command line and file editing in TempleOS were handled by the same editor reminded me of Emacs, which gives you the same kind of flexibility, although it doesn't go quite as far. Was Emacs an inspiration for your editor?
