I bailed after the second one. The first one was brilliant and I think Dan O'Bannon was probably missed after that.

O'Bannon's early project with John Carpenter (Dark Star) was a lot of fun.

pretty looking but let down by an incompetant plot that felt like it only had a couple of drafts and was made by a writer who can't help but try foreshadow some sequel due to being a shitty television writer

in effect, its a made for televesion movie with an expensive set and prop design
