/tv/ can you recommend me some movies in which high IQ of the main character is shown through his actions, and not by him spouting huge amount of pointless information.

>pic related is the only character that I know

File: 79e45c286df345b⋯.jpg (92.86 KB, 1200x675, 16:9, serveimage.jpg)

But what if his actions are spouting a huge amount of pointless information?

>>1707852

That's fine kek

I just don't want characters that are shown to be smart by explaining quantum physic and shit. That's just what retarded writers think it means being smart

 No.1707874

Shawshank Redemption is a massively overrated film but the way the main character sandbagged the warden for decades and escaped with all his embezzled money showed a patient intelligent man fairly well.

i'm sure we can find several where the character in question solves a rubik cube.

Cape Fear, the guy knows exactly the limits of the law which he uses to fuck with the other guy without breaking any law. He isn't a genius just smart enough and dedicated, but the exposition is better than le epic high iq ricky&morty fan explaining every detail of his plan dramatically.

 No.1708355

In The Usual Suspects, the main character spouts huge amounts of information, but it serves to conceal his genius while his actions reveal it.

Pacific Heights. Micheal Keaton as a con artist/ sociopath, the role he was born to play.

I want to see more films like that, actually. But all I can think of off the top of my head is The Talented Mister Ripley. And I don't even care for the character.

Always seems to be evil geniuses or sociopaths.

Hey, I know. Watch some Pippi Longstocking.
