I have to agree. First and third person shooters were pushed on us by the graphics card companies. The year Half-Life came out Grim Fandango actually won all the awards, but half life was packaged in with every graphics card sold, because those shooters use more gpu processing, thus creating a market. Even though the games themselves were shit. Splatoons is the legacy of this.
