1. I am conscious

2. Qualia exist and our not physical. Therefore the observer/consciousness is not physical.

3. The vertiginous question is a valid question. It asks, out of all the bodies in the world, why is my consciousness/observer in this body?

4. Other people are conscious. If they weren’t conscious, there would have to be something very special about who/what my body is and why this specific body is the only one with consciousness, and as far as I can tell there are many bodies like my body.

5. This leads us to three general possibilies: every body is part of the same consciousness (open individualism), there is only one consciousness that goes from one body to the next (egocentric presentism), or everyone has a separate consciousness.

6. The latter possibility is the most accepted in society and the only one that is possible. The two former possibilities are impossible because they cannot answer the vertiginous question. Open individualism isn’t possible because although it claims that there’s nothing special about my body, there is still the illusion that my body is special, and it can’t answer why that is. Out of all bodies in the universe, why is it only that this body is special? If all bodies were truly equally part of consciousness, there wouldn’t be any special bodies. Next, egocentric presentism can’t answer this question because, without a God, it would require some equation to determine where consciousness goes after a body dies. The problem with this is that there are many possible such equations, and there’s no reason to prioritize one over the other, therefore none are prioritized. The only exception I can think of for this is that the equation that consciousness goes in order of simplicity of the body. However, this is not possible because there are some bodies with equal simplicity. For example, the entire universe and body could be the exact same except for one of the bodies having an inverted color scale qualia structure. I can’t think of any equation that goes by simplicity or any equation in general that can decide which body consciousness goes to here.

7. From now on, I’m going to define the soul/consciousness/the observer as a structure of qualia. What I mean by this, is that, similar to Tegmark’s mathematical universe hypothesis, an infinite number of qualia exist in possibility. In math, there is nothing special about our number system, there could be an infinite number of them. As well, it is impossible to define a number without referencing another number or numerical concept. These numbers only exist in relating to each other. Also, there are an infinite number of qualia structures, that can only be defined by relating to each other. The reason we see the color red when we see an apple is that it is part of our consciousness that whenever we see the specific wavelength, we see red.

8. Your consciousness/qualia doesn’t affect your body (philosophical zombies are conceptually possible [not actually though because of #4])

8. Not all possible qualia are on a perfect scale. What I mean by this, is that the T.V. at volume 30 could feel loud, then at 20 it could feel quiet, then at 10 it could possibly feel loud again. The fact that in my day-to-day life, there are zero instances of unexpected qualia (e.g. when I scream in pain but feel good qualia, or vice versa), shows that this soul/qualia structures was chosen for this specific body, and not a soul with bizarre qualia structures. This answers the vertiginous question. In fact, the only way to answer the vertiginous question is to have a creator choose which soul goes into which body. A formula can’t go this, because a formula can’t understand qualia (they are undefinable). Therefore, an all-knowing God that can tell the difference between all qualia chose this specific soul.

OP, I'm sorry but you need to phrase your thread into a question like:

>what are the political implications of God existing?

otherwise it's not political and you will only generate a handful of replies as your thread sits in the catalog for months

I don't think so…if you were conscious, you would know that the dispute about the existence and non-existence of God is a philosophical dead end…Some cannot prove 100% regularity, others cannot prove 100% irregularity of phenomena.

2)Qualia is entirely based on our physical features and is dependent and shaped by them.

No physiology = no qualia.

Cause - effect.

3) Because you have gained a critical mass of consciousness… consciousness is a gradational thing

4) Seriously? Ahahaha…if these bastards were conscious, we would live in a utopia, not in a barnyard.

5) Don't even dare to talk about REAL individualism…you don't realize what it is…it is first of all the ability of an individual to implement free will by going against the axiomatics of the existing world…for this you need to be ethically and philosophically above the concepts of God or Atheism.

7) Soul is generally a term of religious autists, which describes the action of consciousness.

8) Despite your reasoning, you are one of these philosophical zombies.

8) ->9) in general, there are so many of these concepts of God that you can eat them with your ass…there are so many of them.

God is everything that exists - even a stone is God, God is an uncle in heaven who ignores cause and effect, God is a spaghetti monster…etc.

We are all a brotherhood of the afflicted.

Your idea makes complete sense, certainly contains the answer for the spiritual hunger most humans have.

You will need to address the religious aspect, people will always want a step by step process. Look at the talmud for example, do you think these people just drop it and walk away?

Imagine what Socrates had envisioned of the perfect world. It was so far out there that Plato had to finish his work by the great noble lie, writing his book laws and promoting a messianic philosophy at the school of alexandria leading to proto Christianity.

Have you tried willfully creating a cult? With enough followers it's certainly possible.

I can imagine it now

My solution is this:

- your consciousness is the product of your body, especially your brain though not limited to it. I suggest looking into the latest research in neuroscience. Its quite interesting.

- I've also given a lot of thought to the idea that I only have access to my own mind, but no access yo the minds of others, indeed, I have no access to anything else aside from my own mind since all things external to that come to me only through my mind and its reaction to what experience I assume arrives to me through my senses. But I also realize that I can't trust most of my mind either, the thoughts and feelings that come to my conscious experience arrive from other parts of my brain or body, making them no more trustworthy than my senses. The core of me is the part of myself that receives the experience of my own existence, that's why even if you make a perfect copy of me, it would not be me, since I would not be able to access the experiences had by that copy the same way I could not truly experience what others do, as i stated earlier.

-, I've also through about the idea that most definitely, all things are simultaneously true and false, and what is real or not is entirely dependant upon where in the omniverse one happens to make reference to. Objectively we exist within a time cube, where rather than one universe that moves and changes, there is an infinite number of universes in different states that do not move or change at all, and that means that at around every Planck unit of time its an entirely different universe where everything is wholly separate from everything that existed I the universes before or would exist in the universes after. Think of it like a reel of film, and that is the true structure of the timeline, and the movie projected on the screen of the theatre is the illusion of a moving picture that is produced by our memories of how things used to be different. And from the one timeline of eternalism we can further assume the existence of other timelines that are identical in all ways except for a slight difference just before the last universe in the timeline. And extending out from this we can imagine one timeline for every sequence of states that a set of universes could be in. Which are bounded only by their need to conform to the laws of the multiverse, which is why time travel can take you to where events (universe states of being) are different from your timeline of origin (going back in time means subjectively experiencing it as travelling through the universes of other timelines until you get to the universe of a timeline that was identical to your own up until the point where you arrived, but objectively you haven't travelled at all, since nothing truly moves and all those "yous" aren't the same entity, you haven't created a branching timeline, all these timelines have always existed and always will, never moving nor changing in any way), but why going back in time cannot take you to a place where the laws of nature governing the possible states of universes and what sequences they could be in are different. But one could imagine that there are an infinite multitude of multiverses each with their own set of natural laws, producing their own infinity of timelines, and within those universe states, such that all things happen or exist somewhere in what we could call the ultimate ensemble of tegmark or the onmiverse, though it goes even further than that and accepts the existence even of impossible things that tegmark himself would dismiss the existence of, meaning that your favorite anime is actually a true story somewhere, just not here or anywhere close to here within the omniverse. And naturally this means that the god of the bible would exist in some part of the omniverse, but not all of it, though god himself would not be aware of that, being omnipotent and omniscient within the regions he lives in and possibly assuming they know there's nothing beyond that.

- I will be honest I don't quote get what you are saying, it's as hard to read as this is, and frankly I will run your post through an ai to figure out what it says, and I hope you so the same with what I've written here. As well.

I dont know if any other people besides me is conscious, I'm the only one I knew with 100% certainty to be conscious.

As such, the observer is me, and the rest of the universe can just be a tunneled theater I'm experimenting with my physical body.

This idea is called solipsism, and it is the extreme opposite of panpsychism. Both use the same principles, but arrives at different conclusions.

You can say that everything is conscious, even inanimated objects (a rock is part of Earth, which is conscious in its own relative manner), but you dont know in what degree they are conscious, and you can't be sure if they are as conscious as you are or not. In other words, you dont know if they are observers.

And if they are, there is also the theory of the multiverse, where each conscious element has its own separate universe, and deal with projections from other universes, representing other conscious elements. So in my universe I'm dealing with a npc version of you, which appears as pixels on a screen, while you are dealing with a npc version of me, in your own universe. This theory run counters to the "we are all one" from pantheism, because the one would be many here (indefinite dyad).

As such, god is just a projection of politics into the unexplainable. You have a king sitting on a golden throne in the sky. You need an authority guiding you so that you dont feel responsible for your own decisions. The appeal to authority means you are less conscious than a responsible person.
