I used to work for this company, and they are nothing short of shills for hire.

They actually shit-talk companies who don't pay them to come to events, and don't disclose sponsorship on videos where they were paid tens of thousands to give their "expert, third party opinions."

Staying anon to prevent SJW assclowns from ruining my life. Anyway:

I'm a gamedev fag. I'm not a low-tier goobergrapper faggot, but not a Sargon/MundaneMatt/etc either, and where I'm from I am considered a bit notorious for stirring up the media and going up against the ll vidya kartels SJW's like to make.

Normies and SJW's always said my career would be ruined because of it. Turns out, it had 0 impact. Why?

I had to go to job interviews the past couple of days. Because vidya is shit, I went for application development. Turns out, the majority of IT's look down on vidya development because, except for a few big guys, it's riddled with low-paying jobs, friend politics, corruption and extremism. They refer to GamerGate as when in 2014/15 the corruption was exposed. Two people recognized me on accident because I couldn't stay completely anon to get some shit done during the past two years, and didn't give a shit about it.

I'm now hired by one of those companies. It took me 3 days to get a job.

Good on ya, devFag!

This is something that I have seen a lot in my own work (I've been in the game dev scene but not in any noteworthy way.) A lot of people with the engineering skills often use gamedev as a stepping stone for bigger things because it IS a shitty industry to work in.

Shit hours, shit bosses, shit environment, shit pay (compared to a legit programming/sys-engineering position at a legit company) and having the media shit all over the stuff you've poured your soul into is just a recipe for all kinds of headaches.

A legit coding job means better hours, better pay and a WAY better working environment.

Good luck and god-speed on your new digs.

May Kek smile on you.

The leaked CON logs have given us an unbelievable amount of ways to attack multiple targets, including LW, her clique, and gaming journalists that helped cover their asses and reported their false stories.

Henceforth, this thread is for fleshing out the various different targets and ways we can use the logs to bite back.

Keep this gravy train going. Keep the threads about this alive on /v/, /pol/ and anyone else willing to pitch in

Let's start with this, the first idea of attack:

POSSIBLE COURSE OF ACTION

FUCK OVER THE JOURNO CLIQUE THAT HELPED MAKE LW LOOK INNOCENT

There were multiple reports, most importantly from Polygon and Kotaku, about the Polaris Game Jam being shafted. Polygon's article in particular used Zoe as a source for the story.

http://archive.is/pgfMp

Since we've got admittance she screwed over the event, we could do two things. Email campaign to knock down advertisers, or press for an edit of the article that says Zoe was the one that messed everything up.

Kotaku's Nathan Grayson also covered the story, exactly one day before he gave $800 to her, without proper disclosure, of course.

http://archive.is/69wcr

Her newest thing is being sponsored by Taco Bell, right? This one is kind of just for kicks, but it would be fun to get Taco Bell to back off in sponsorship.

EMAIL WEAPONRY

Two strategies for doing that.

Saw this on the KiA-pleb board and on Twitter. That windmill-and-clogs faggot Generaal just came up with a pretty good idea.

The gist of it is that GG-fags create their own nation on a huge-ass server in Minecraft where people then do Pokemon (Pixelmon mod) competitions, explore and build gigantic gyms, landscapes, cities, pokemon centres, factions etc. Support?

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1WHaML4MdgypwsfAtKhCSpqjFps3-7tjBkR3y64An15w/edit#

10cbda  No.327630

>The Pixelmon Kingdom is a standard Minecraft survival map, 10 times 10 kilometers in size (10.000 blocks x 10.000 blocks, 4 times as big as a ‘’large’’ console map). It starts with nothing. Players can go up in groups, go to the far ends of the world and start making cities, towns, mines, farms etc for themselves. Because of the Pixelmon mod, people can also create and maintain their own pokemon centres, gyms, etc. Everything has to be created from scratch, so a whole economy has to be set up, and of course the way people train and get their own pokemon - even down to creating their own pokeballs, growing fruits, etc.

After that, a league can be created where people have to get badges by defeating every gym, allowing them to enter the main competition. (use a google doc to keep track of the leagues and gyms, who has badges etc)

>People can become builders (giving them the right to build, chop, etc) or users, where they just play as regular trainers or other roles.

TIME: How Trolls Are Ruining the Internet

https://archive.is/e3sSs

>Trolling is, overtly, a political fight. Liberals do indeed troll–sex-advice columnist Dan Savage used his followers to make Googling former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum’s last name a blunt lesson in the hygienic challenges of anal sex; the hunter who killed Cecil the lion got it really bad.

>But trolling has become the main tool of the alt-right, an Internet-grown reactionary movement that works for men’s rights and against immigration and may have used the computer from Weird Science to fabricate Donald Trump. Not only does Trump share their attitudes, but he’s got mad trolling skills: he doxxed Republican primary opponent Senator Lindsey Graham by giving out his cell-phone number on TV and indirectly got his Twitter followers to attack GOP political strategist Cheri Jacobus so severely that her lawyers sent him a cease-and-desist order.

>The alt-right’s favorite insult is to call men who don’t hate feminism “cucks,” as in “cuckold.” Republicans who don’t like Trump are “cuckservatives.” Men who don’t see how feminists are secretly controlling them haven’t “taken the red pill,” a reference to the truth-revealing drug in The Matrix. They derisively call their adversaries “social-justice warriors” and believe that liberal interest groups purposely exploit their weakness to gain pity, which allows them to control the levers of power. Trolling is the alt-right’s version of political activism, and its ranks view any attempt to take it away as a denial of democracy.

>In this new culture war, the battle isn’t just over homosexuality, abortion, rap lyrics, drugs or how to greet people at Christmastime. It’s expanded to anything and everything: video games, clothing ads, even remaking a mediocre comedy from the 1980s. In July, trolls who had long been furious that the 2016 reboot of Ghostbusters starred four women instead of men harassed the film’s black co-star Leslie Jones so badly on Twitter with racist and sexist threats–including a widely copied photo of her at the film’s premiere that someoPost too long. Unless someones hobby is 'reading politics' or 'virtue signalling' then there's no need for politics to be there in the first place.

I walked past a model boating lake today - I've got no interest in it but I get that other people have -it's what they do for fun -it's their thing and they enjoy it, so leave them be. Then I imagined some fat harpie screeching at them about muh representation in model boating - it's ludicrous really. It's also not what's appropriate. Not sure what the boaters talk about -probably boat parts and the latest radio controls and motors that power their builds round the lake -but I'll take a guess that it's not the amount of transgender representation in model boating. People have hobbies for enjoyment, not because politics.

The author of the Time article doesn't understand internet culture and the ins and outs of it.

Though I'm wondering why do SJW hate trolls, 4chan, and eventually 8chan? Because I was thinking about Vivian James' origins, the SJW threw a fit about 4chan and its resident trolls donating money for a good cause.

(I don't know how I feel about being called a "troll," being misgendered is just a bit lulzy for me).

So both twitter and intel pay femfreq, the first to be part of their bullshit “Trust and Safety Council” and the second as part of their diversity scheme thing

Thing is femfreq sponsors CON and is in a partnership with them

So, here's the question: considering what CON been doing and proof we got thanks to the leaks could twitter and intel be sued gawker-style for supporting and endorsing harassment and hate-speech?

Any lawfags here?

758e60  No.327606

IANAL but it is something that could be looked into. We would need to set out a list of specific examples of crimes with evidence.

Didn't Derek Smart have the ear of an Intel VP about this? They cannot say that they were not warned.

758e60  No.327608

>>327606

No idea but the whole situation with intel and their 300 gajillon fund for tech vaginas was half-assed and rushed as fuck, the fact that they fired a bunch of employees right after that shows you they couldn't even be arsed to call the accountants before giving away money to be bunch of cunts everybody is accusing of being scammers

So both companies can pretend they didn't know but the damage is done, and gawker tried to play dumb too and that didn't get them out of having to pay for the damages

So again it would be good to hear from lawfags because the way I see it this could be a class-action lawsuit from everybody targeted by CON against two companies that have a lot to lose from this

Huffington Post Bans Journalist For Writing About Hillary’s Health, Deletes Article

The Huffington Post has sensationally censored an article pertaining to questions about Hillary Clinton’s health and banned the journalist who wrote it from posting on their website altogether.

http://www.infowars.com/huffington-post-bans-journalist-for-writing-about-hillarys-health-deletes-article/ https://archive.is/ZDG0f

Here's the article: https://archive.is/4evhr

You can debate whether or not the story was worthwhile but it comes down to this: the article was killed to protect the image of a powerful politician and not because HuffPo suddenly discovered integrity for five minutes and then lost it again. HP has all sorts of bullshit health articles and goes after other politicians' health, but not Hillary. The double standard is the problem.

If you have dirt on HuffPo, share it.

They are currently in a holding pattern right now.

Should note that they filed for the "good" kind of bankruptcy. Chapter 11 bankruptcy basically lets you sell shit off but allows you to ultimately walk away fully intact and more to the point, gives the owner full control over how they sell shit off.

Meaning, Denton could sell Kotaku and Jezebel and Deadspin off, plus dip into his own savings, to pay the amount of cash owed Hogan and keep Gawker going. Also, he can keep the business running and doesn't have to fire anyone.

Chapter 7 is the BAD kind of bankruptcy. The kind that means you are fucked beyond all repair and hope of being saved and you owe so much money, you don't even fucking have a right to save what you can or even be picky in how things are sold off to pay the debts.

If they had filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy, the court would force them to shut down EVERYTHING at Gawker and it's sub sites, because there is no fucking point in keeping them up and running since they are bleeding money they can't pay.

A trustee is appointed by the court and they basically are given the task to sell EVERYTHING that can be sold; the website, the offices, even office equipment, to get cash ASAP to pay off the debts (in this case, the Hogan verdict money). Denton could not say a damn thing and the Gawker office would be stripped of everything, copper wire included, for whatever the trustee could get for it, with the trustee not giving a shit who he sells it too so long as he gets paid.

Chapter 11 is basically "rehabilitation" bankruptcy since you can walk away from it relatively intact. Chapter 7 means you are irrevocably fucked and you can not be saved and are dead dead dead dead.

Should be noted that sometimes companies in Gawkers position will file for Chapter 11 but are forced to go into Chapter 7 by the courts. Granted, those scenarios don't fit the Gawker position, since that hPost too long. Click here to view the full text.

I just heard that the guy got kicked permanately of Rational Wiki, and that people (gamergaters) are asked to point out what is wrong in articles…..but no one has enough faith left.

Can anyone confirm?

Is the dragon dildo gone?

Have we finally slain the dragon?

This seems like a good opportunity.

So, anyone willing to wade in there? I think it would be wise to possibly register so that there's some measure of good-faith shown (though use a spam-proof email service just in case.)

And be calm. Just go through each post and highlight where the inconsistencies are. No rhetoric, no spin, just use the cold-hard facts of the situation.

Is there someone that has a panache for diplomacy that might be willing to try this? I know there were some gators kicking around in the first year that were consistently rational.

Though, rather than spamming them directly en-masse, maybe just reach out to some of the head types and offer to go over the points that are in conflict and such. If we take the position of going over it all in one giant group it might put them on edge but if there's a diplomatic olive branch extended they may be more willing to see.

That said, that is their fort so it is their final call so this might get heated so if you have really thick skin and can stay on target this might be an op for you to participate in.

As always, be polite. If they lash out, just brush it off. We should be fucking old-hat at that shit by now given the bullshit that's been poured on us since the beginning (it sucks and I understand some folk need to decompress but this is one place where it's possible to break the narrative if we do it with patience and dignity.)

Well, shit. This is what I get for not reading through the thread itself before posting.

If dragon dildo is back at it again with the white vans then there's probably no hope left for the site unless you wanted to play the long game and point out the inconsistencies on other articles to build up a rapport.

Never would have thought that after 2 years gamers would still truck on fighting off sjws and getting the word out on censorship issues. Truly gamers don't give up until something is won. Nothing but respect you guys.

Also I wish this was updated after the Gawker death star blew up. It sure feels like the homestretch now.

I was at home, quietly minding my own bizz, When out of nowhere a wild feminist appeared. It used hate speech. "Cis white male!" It was not effective. Then my tv turned on and I heard it say "Oh my god, That's Jason Borne!" I knew I had to get out of there. So I jumped onto the back of my tamed Danny DeVito and rode away to safety.

During Winter of 2006 we initiatived a radical "re-tooling" of the portal for the Game Culture and Technology Lab. This was done in anticipation of a Spring 2006 residency at the Humanities Research Institute (HRI) entitled "Collaboration Infrastructures for Game Culture and Technology" - made possible by Director David Goldberg and Deputy Director Kevin Franklin. The goal is to critically reflect on our use of the tools as we develop and use them in relation to our creative projects.

The residency is being convened by GCTL director Robert Nideffer, and co-organized along with Walt Scacchi, the GCTL Associate Director of Research

Ideally what we produce will become a useful resource for the international community interested in reading, writing, viewing, analyzing, and producing media relevant to the rapidly expanding field of "Game Studies."

This is back in the news again: >>317557

> A team at USC Annenberg released a paper claiming that Hollywood is unfriendly to gays. https://archive.is/VJZBy

That paper is being used to justify funding a project to give Hollywood diversity scorecards. This is going to the engineering department so maybe we'll get a laugh when Tay 2.0 tells them there are too many Jews.

http://fusion.net/story/342226/google-algorithm-women-hollywood/ https://archive.is/vzgfF

This Drinkwater guy also did work for Sarah Palin so it looks like he is just PR, nonpartisan. https://archive.is/06LdM

They're connected to the new Bentonville Film Festival which is related to the Walmart Foundation.

We have Arkansas and Walmart. There is a Clinton connection, I can guarantee that without looking. The question is whether it will be meaningful.
