Oprah Winfrey has long encouraged fans to find purpose and value. On Tuesday, she talked about finding it herself.

Winfrey, who received the inaugural Empowerment in Entertainment Award at The Hollywood Reporter's luncheon in Los Angeles, spoke from the podium to a crowd of industry execs and students.

In the late '70s and '80s, she said, "back when I was doing the news in Baltimore, I asked to make the same (salary) as my co-anchor who was doing the same job I was doing – except he called me 'Babe' the whole time."

Both her news director and news manager denied her request for a raise.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry welcomed Queen Elizabeth to their newly renovated Frogmore Cottage digs for a tour, People reported Tuesday, as royal baby fever intensifies.

The 93-year-old Queen, who had gifted the Duke and Duchess of Sussex the residence, is said to have made the roughly 20-mile trek from London to Windsor.

The quiet visit by Harry’s grandmother comes at the height of the royal baby watch, with Meghan expected to welcome the newest member of the British monarchy any day (though some fans think she’s already secretly given birth). Doria Ragland, the mother of the former “Suits” actress, has already arrived in the UK.

Meghan, 37, and Harry, 34, previously announced that they intend to keep details surrounding their first child’s birth private.

Google is still figuring out what exactly it wants to show off onstage next week at I/O 2019, and that means some news is being pushed out early. In addition to adding Tiles to Wear OS, the company today announced that developers can start building apps for Android Automotive OS.

In March 2017, Google introduced Android Automotive OS, an Android operating system tailored to run in the car. It should not be confused with Android Auto, Google’s mobile app that mirrors features from your Android device to your car’s in-dash entertainment head unit. In short, because cars are getting more technology and becoming more connected, Android Auto doesn’t cut it anymore and so Google built Android Automotive OS.

One of the first Intellivision Amico games has been revealed. It will be an entirely new installment in the Earthworm Jim series. At 12pm PT/2pm CT/3pm ET on May 4, 2019, the first design meeting for the game will be streamed on the Intellivision Amico Facebook, Twitch, and YouTube pages. It will be 20 minutes long.

Details about the new Earthworm Jim are slim. Ten people from the original team will return to develop it, with Earthworm Jim and Earthworm Jim 2 composer and Intellivision CEO Tommy Tallarico involved in its creation.

In addition to getting to see what will go into making the new Earthworm Jim, the stream will provide people an opportunity to win art from Doug TenNapel, the creator of Earthworm Jim. 50 signed and numbered watercolor posters will be given away to select viewers.

The Intellivision Amico and new Earthworm Jim game are currently in development. The system has a tentative 2020 launch window. The original Earthworm Jim appeared on the Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Game Gear, Game Boy, Game Boy Advance, Super Nintendo, and PC.

Instagram may be about to make the biggest change ever to your experience with the app soon, in the hope that you’ll stop obsessing so much over how many likes your Coachella posts and #foodpix get.

During Facebook’s annual F8 software developer conference in San Jose, California, today, Instagram’s top executive Adam Mosseri explained that the photo-sharing service is going to start a test later this week that hides the number of likes on each post from other users. The goal, he explained, is to make Instagram feel less “like a competition.”

The testing is going to happen in Canada ahead of presumably a wider rollout, depending on how it’s received there. As part of the test, should you happen to be among the participants, users scrolling through your feed would see only your posts and no indication of many users “liked” them.

There’s a new Facebook app coming today, pushing groups to the fore, introducing a new icon, and even getting rid of the blue. Announced by Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg today at the opening keynote of the F8 2019 developer conference, it’s the fifth generation of Facebook as we know it.

Internally, the update is known as FB5. As Zuckerberg describes it, it’s actually the biggest change for Facebook in the past five years. First up will be a new app, with a new version of Facebook in the browser to follow.

Most striking from the outset is going to be the color change. The current Facebook app is notable for its blue color scheme. Now, though, it’s switching to a far more minimalistic white, with grey frames and less ostentatious graphics.

For months, Huawei Technologies Co. has faced U.S. allegations that it flouted sanctions on Iran, attempted to steal trade secrets from a business partner and has threatened to enable Chinese spying through the telecom networks it’s built across the West.

Now Vodafone Group Plc has acknowledged to Bloomberg that it found vulnerabilities going back years with equipment supplied by Shenzhen-based Huawei for the carrier’s Italian business. While Vodafone says the issues were resolved, the revelation may further damage the reputation of a major symbol of China’s global technology prowess.

Europe’s biggest phone company identified hidden backdoors in the software that could have given Huawei unauthorized access to the carrier’s fixed-line network in Italy, a system that provides internet service to millions of homes and businesses, according to Vodafone’s security briefing documents from 2009 and 2011 seen by Bloomberg, as well as people involved in the situation.

Are these intentional backdoors or just shitty bugman “Chabuduo” code flaws? That’s the real question. If it’s all code flaws then an independent evaluation from a USA or European country will fix the issue. If they’re hiding backdoors, by all means nuke them.

Smollett was accused of filing a false police report about a hate crime. Smollett told the police that he was attacked by two masked men who he said doused him with a chemical substance and placed a thin rope around his neck. He also said that the attackers were shouting “This is MAGA country!” before fleeing. However, Chicago police said after interviewing two brothers identified as persons of interest in the case that Smollett paid the duo $3,500 to orchestrate the attack.

The UK must throw as much effort into stopping climate change as was deployed in defeating the Nazis, Theresa May is told today – ahead of new warnings from experts that greenhouse gas emissions must be cut further and faster.

The prime minister is told to put the country “on a war footing” and end “climate appeasement” to avert disaster, by a new cross-party group of politicians including Labour’s Ed Miliband and the Greens’ Caroline Lucas.

>Ed Miliband

Get rid of this guy. He's annoying as fuk shill.

Barack and Michelle Obama have unveiled a slate of projects in development for Netflix, a year after the former president and first lady signed a deal with the streaming platform.

The Obamas' production company, Higher Ground Productions, on Tuesday announced a total of seven films and series that Barack Obama said will entertain but also "educate, connect and inspire us all."

Higher Ground is producing a feature film on Frederick Douglass, adapted from David W. Blight's Pulitzer Prize-winning biography. It's also planning an adaptation of The New York Times "Overlooked" obituary column, about deaths unreported by the paper.

Netflix and the Obamas acquired the Sundance Film Festival documentary "American Factory," about a Chinese-owned factory in post-industrial Ohio. And the company's "Bloom" is an upstairs-downstairs drama set in post-WWII New York.

Anon has unveiled an old plan to thumbs down every single one of those faggots' projects without viewing them.

A federal judge in Pennsylvania threw out former Penn State University president Graham Spanier's conviction on a child endangerment charge Tuesday, the day before Spanier was due to report to prison.

Spanier was found guilty in 2017 of a misdemeanor count related to his handling of a 2001 complaint about longtime Nittany Lions assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky showering with a young boy at the football facility. He was sentenced to a minimum of two months in jail and two months of house arrest and a state judge had ordered him to report to jail May 1.

Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart, R-Fla., appeared on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” Tuesday and made a case for backing opposition to disputed Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and suggested that Russia had installed nuclear missiles in the South American nation.

“Imagine if this regime that now is receiving a lot of international pressure survives, is it or is it not potentially a green light, an open door for the Russians and for the Chinese and for others to increase their activity against our national security interest right here in our hemisphere, “Diaz-Balart told Carlson.

Well China and Russia are the masters at propaganda. Its how they keep such large countries together.

No, you have niggers and faggots on powers because YOU YOURSELVES wanted them, don't blame other for the degenerate, self serving, hedonistic path you decided to take you fucking mutts.

And Sadam had WMDs…

Id suggest looking up some Yuri Bezmenov.

The idea of cultural marxism was to convince the US that they want fags and niggers and feminism and all sorts of unhealthy things to pull the country apart. So they will lose wars before a shot is even fired.

Notice how these ideas that are being forced on the US are totally unacceptable and often illegal in Russia and China. Because they know how to run a country and make it stable in the long term.

Calls for Attorney General William Barr’s resignation resounded Tuesday evening after The Washington Post reported on a letter written by special counsel Robert Mueller saying he disagreed with Barr’s handling of his report.

“Mueller’s letter shows that Attorney General Barr has always been the chief propagandist for President [Donald] Trump. His four-page letter totally misled Congress and the public,” said Senator Chris Van Hollen on Twitter. “He should resign immediately.

Where in the report does it say frumpy colluded with Russia? Nowhere? Ok, there's nothing in the report.

"we illegally investigated hundreds upon hundreds of people based on fraudulent documents we made. a couple of the people we had illegally investigated were found to have suspicious things come up in their investigation, irrelevant to the investigation. now we want to illegally investigate those specific people's suspicious things."

makes perfect sense.

There is an excellent line by line breakdown of the report on Q-reserach.

The report was released to the public. There are 2 parts. The first part is a legal document that concludes no Russian collusion. The second has no admissible legal clout because it does not follow any measures admissible in court. It does not call witnesses or interview anyone. The "proof" is hearsay because it calls upon no one other than "x said y said z". When Mueller wrote that part he gave up his right to have any say on it, not that it matters since it's an opinion piece. Mueller wrote a 200 page op ed as part 2. Eat shit, I know I've read more than you.

This has been covered line by line for weeks. There is nothing in the report.

President Donald Trump's personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, said Tuesday night that he found it "very odd" that special counsel Robert Mueller would object to Attorney General William Barr's characterization of the special counsel's report on alleged foreign interference in the 2016 election.

In a letter that was disclosed Tuesday and in a telephone call later, Mueller objected to Barr's four-page description last month of his investigation, saying it had caused public confusion.

>he found it "very odd" that special counsel Robert Mueller would object to Attorney General William Barr's characterization

what characterization?
