A Sikh girl who brought a religious knife into class caused parents to boycott her primary school over safety concerns.

The schoolgirl brought a kirpan, a small blunt sword or dagger worn by Sikhs as a mark of their faith, into the school earlier this month.

I don't see how this disproves my point. It has nothing to do with whether an ornamental knife is a weapon. Also It was retaliation by a small sect against the Indian government. Honestly any non Indians riding an Indian airline brought it on themselves. Again if you want someone to blame look no further than your own inept government.

Former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, in a turnaround, now says the House should begin an impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump.

In an interview with USA Today on Monday, the Nevada Democrat said that “it’s not the right thing to do nothing” about allegations that Trump obstructed justice in the Russia investigation. But he also said “it’s not the right thing to jump into impeachment without doing an inquiry.” Reid added that an impeachment inquiry would help determine where public opinion is on the issue.

Vice President Mike Pence said the U.S. still plans to impose tariffs on Mexico next week over the flow of undocumented migrants from Central America, but talks between the two nations continue.

“At this point the tariffs are going to be imposed on Monday,” Pence said Thursday in Pennsylvania. Pence, who took part in negotiations Wednesday, said he would talk to President Donald Trump later Thursday and over the weekend about Mexico’s proposals, including developments during a second day of talks Thursday.

“I’m encouraged they came today with more but it will be a matter for the president to consider,” Pence added.

Sen. Josh Hawley has announced legislation that would force video-sharing websites such as YouTube to turn off their recommendation systems for videos featuring children.

The bill follows a shocking New York Times report that YouTube’s algorithm system curated and recommended videos of children, helping spread the content among predators.

The videos could be, for example, home videos created and uploaded by a child that contain fleeting, accidental frames where the child is partly dressed. Curated by YouTube from its archives, those videos could be recommended to people who have viewed sexually themed content or videos of prepubescent children.

Google is updating Google Maps on Android to introduce another useful feature. After the company introduced the ability to see speed cameras, it’s now adding an actual speedometer to the Maps app.

That means when you are driving, you will be able to keep an eye on your own speed, along with the local speed limit. Android Police reports that the feature isn’t enabled by default, and it’s only available in some regions, including Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, India, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, Taiwan, UK, and the US.

The feature can be enabled through the Navigation settings under Maps’ preferences and doesn’t work with Android Auto just yet. But here’s the thing: Google is using GPS to calculate your speed, so I wouldn’t fully rely on the speedometer while driving. GPS isn’t fully reliable when it comes to calculating a car’s speed, so you are probably better off looking at your car’s actual speed from the dashboard.

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has allowed thousands of illegal migrants without required identification to fly on commercial flights over the past several months, according to a new report.

The Washington Examiner reported Thursday that the TSA is not following the policy it enforces in airports across the country by letting people without one of the more than two dozen required documents board a plane in the United States.

When the Department of Homeland Security releases illegal migrants from custody after they have arrived at the U.S. border and have requested asylum, they are, in many cases, brought to a bus station so they can travel somewhere in the U.S. Outside groups are called in, and they help the migrants get where they need to go.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi told senior Democrats that she’d like to see President Donald Trump “in prison” as she clashed with House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler in a meeting on Tuesday night over whether to launch impeachment proceedings.

Pelosi met with Nadler (D-N.Y.) and several other top Democrats who are aggressively pursuing investigations against the president, according to multiple sources. Nadler and other committee leaders have been embroiled in a behind-the-scenes turf battle for weeks over ownership of the Democrats’ sprawling investigation into Trump.

Nadler pressed Pelosi to allow his committee to launch an impeachment inquiry against Trump — the second such request he’s made in recent weeks only to be rebuffed by the California Democrat and other senior leaders. Pelosi stood firm, reiterating that she isn’t open to the idea of impeaching Trump at this time.

Rudy Giuliani plans to quit as President Donald Trump's personal lawyer as the dust begins to settle after Special Counsel Robert Mueller concluded his Russia investigation.

Giuliani told the Washington Examiner he is still working on legal issues on the president's behalf and said he would finish up any non-congressional related 'cleanup' from the investigation before leaving the team.

Prosecutors for the U.S. attorney's office for the Southern District of New York and the New York attorney general's office are still reviewing evidence generation by Mueller's investigation, which was brought to a close in late March.

The former Mayor of New York became a key strategist for Trump when he joined his legal team in April 2018. He also many times served as a spokesman for the president, speaking on his behalf when appearing on television and sharing his feelings on certain issues.

DONALD Trump threatened to hit China with tariffs on "at least" another $300bn worth of goods today - as a Beijing propaganda campaign painted the US as evil bullies.

Tensions between the world's two largest economies have soared sharply since talks aimed at ending a festering trade war broke down in early May.

"Our talks with China, a lot of interesting things are happening. We'll see what happens… I could go up another at least $300 billion and I'll do that at the right time," Trump told reporters.

"But I think China wants to make a deal and I think Mexico wants to make a deal badly," he said before boarding Air Force One on his way to France for the D-Day commemorations.

"When you have the money, when you have the product, when you have the thing that everybody wants, you're in a position to do very well with tariffs, and that's where we are," he continued.

"We're the piggy bank. The United States is the piggy bank. It has all the money that others want to take from us, but they're not taking it so easy anymore. It's a lot different."

China's Commerce Ministry has already vowed Beijing will have to adopt necessary countermeasures if Washington escalates trade tensions.

Amazon said Wednesday that it plans to use self-piloted drones to deliver packages to shoppers’ home in the coming months.

The online shopping giant did not give exact timing or say where the drones will be making deliveries.

Amazon said its new drones use computer vision and machine learning to detect and avoid people or clotheslines in backyards when landing.

“From paragliders to power lines to a corgi in the backyard, the brain of the drone has safety covered,” said Jeff Wilke, who oversees Amazon’s retail business.

Wilke said the drones are fully electric, can fly up to 15 miles (24 kilometers), deliver in 30 minutes and carry goods that weigh up to 5 pounds (2.3 kilograms), like a paperback or toothpaste.

Dr. Sebastian Gorka, former deputy assistant to President Donald Trump, said “political correctness” in today’s armed services would prevent the ascendance of historical military leaders such as Dwight Eisenhower, George Patton, and Omar Bradley. He offered his analysis on Thursday’s edition of SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily with host Alex Marlow on the 75th anniversary of D-Day.

“We have lost so very, very much in terms of leadership, determination, and just forthrightness,” determined Gorka. “Look at the Eisenhowers or the Pattons or the Bradleys. These individuals wouldn’t make it past major in today’s military, because they would be seen as iconoclasts and too much individuals who are prepared to talk the truth.”

Gorka added, “We have at least two generations of general officers who have been infected by political correctness, and that undermines our national security.”

Cuphead is a platformer and shooter rolled into one. The title features visuals that are similar to old-school cartoons, but the animation is much smoother. A few months ago, the team reported that Cuphead sold over three million units across Xbox One and PC. Since then, it has launched on Nintendo Switch, but there's another version in the works.

Revealed on Ryan McCAffrey's Tesla Podcast 'Ride the Lightning', (via IGN), the game is on its way to Tesla's Model 3, Model S, and Model X vehicles. These electric cars feature massive displays in the center and powerful hardware, so Cuphead could run on them. Technology entrepreneur Elon Musk said the following on Episode 200 of the show (36:48 mark).

>Cuphead, we've got working. The developers have been helping us make it work. It's a cool game. It's insanely difficult. It's sadistically difficult. It's a twisted plot. It's dark. It looks like some cute little Disney thing.

Tesla also features a number of Atari games like Lunar Lander that you can play with a touchscreen and USB controller. Cuphead should be an interesting addition to the catalog.

>good job guys, now that we have pissed off any opwner that wants to do their own work, what can we do next? Sop there are keep going with the stupid?

>Double down on the stupid! Let's instroduce unproven rudimentary AI that cannot possibly cope with the real world conditions of driving, and claim it can drive itself

>hey our cars are fucking killing people now! This may reflect badly in sales!

>well lets not focus on that, let's put video games on the car's dashboard instead

No doubt you’ve heard a Democrat or two declare that President Trump is a “threat to our democracy.” Joe Biden used his campaign launch to up the ante, saying that the 2020 election is a “battle for the soul” of America and warning that if Trump gets a second term, “he will forever and fundamentally alter the character of this nation.”

Ho hum. The suggestion that the president is the personification of evil and is destroying all that makes America exceptional has become so routine that it’s easy to ignore it. In fact, it’s a extraordinary charge, even for our nasty, turbulent times.

Allowing fires to burn at normal low levels cleans the forest floor naturally, and helps certain trees to germinate. If you don't want any fires at all you do need to find a way to keep the brush down. As far as the vaccines go, if it's settled that they cause no harm, why do we have special laws that send vaccines lawsuits to a special secret court that gags all parties but nonetheless pays out huge settlements?

Scientists believe that global sea levels could rise far more than predicted, due to accelerating melting in Greenland and Antarctica,

The long-held view has been that the world's seas would rise by a maximum of just under a meter by 2100.

This new study, based on expert opinions, projects that the real level may be around double that figure.

Amazon controls about half of the U.S. e-commerce market, eMarketer estimates, and its share of all retail is steadily rising. Alphabet dominates internet advertising thanks to a 95% share of mobile search, according to StatCounter. Facebook has nearly 2.4 billion global monthly active users.
