I've been meaning to spill the following somewhere and don't mean to hijack the thread but also don't think it deserves own thread either. I don't use any other board but this one but I use it as a seriously damaging procrastination tactic where all I do in my spare time when I'm not masturbating to porn is autistically read all the threads on here for fear of missing out (fomo) on some snippet of interesting discussion, neat enlightening link or youtube video I wouldn't come across anywhere else. It's at the point where I've been doing it for a few years and it's a lack of self control yes but more fomo and I'm more just stuck in a massive rut of a lack of inertia where I'm too scared to commit to becoming a proper Christian taking up my cross and responsibility for my life and moving forward like a proper decent person should who actually cares about their future. I believe in Jesus 'a' saviour but not yet mine and I know I don't have the Holy Spirit as I feel numb to my sin and ignoring the call to stop wasting my time on here thinking each weekend 'finish all the tabs you have open and anything else interesting in the catalogue currently up and then finally you'll be done and can be free to never come back (or come back only occassionally which I know will just turn into getting full blown sucked in again). This has gone on for a year or so now, literally holed away in my room every night and weekend trying to make sure I catch up on the threads it's exhausting and I'm just wasting my life as a 29yo man ffs sorry for blogpost. Anyone know the feels? I've gone on other boards but I autistically feel the need to check out and open up tabs of all their interesting threads some of which are huge and just get sucked in there but as they're not my default board like here feel I can let them go and maybe return later easier and it's not a big deal if I miss something that drops of the catalog.

And I should add the reason I like it here and what I find valuable is that it's not somewhere pozzed which is what everywhere else is both irl and online, and I'm not an intellectual who's good in arguments or logically analysising everything so I just fear that if I were to completely stop coming here I'd be able to be easily swayed and snared by liberal interpretations of the bible without recourse.

Your post would fit well in self improvement general

>I'm too scared to commit to becoming a proper Christian taking up my cross and responsibility for my life

You obviously need to limit the time online here, eliminate fapping and get to work irl on your self improvement.

>when I'm not masturbating to porn is autistically read all the threads on here

Found your problem: Too much time online, leads to fapping. Get to work, eliminate fapping. Purity thread should be your primary goal, then moving to irl - talking to women, working out, reading books.

Three pillars will help you: Prayer, fasting and work. This will eliminate fapping. That will help you move on

I recommend going to relationship general, purity thread, books thread, nature of women thread, self improvement thread but otherwise limiting your exposure so you do more things offline. You are stuck and you prefer to waste your time than to face your stuck.

I know there are many Christian anons here, honestly, stop attending the /pol/, that environment is toxic.

Right now there was a thread about an anon that got blackpilled to death by shills on that website. Apparently he took his own life.

I prayed a reprimand for their work, including the dwarfs who may have been innocently affected, I did not open the secrecy, and I left the site.

I do not know what's wrong with that chan, but I've often noticed shills putting negative energies there to harm others unnecessarily, I've even seen a webm on thread that showed subliminal satanic messages.

As Philippians 4: 8 warns us,

Philippians 4

8 Conclusion, dear brothers, absolutely everything that is true, whatever is honest, whatever is fair, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is good, if there is something or worthy of praise, Think about this. 9 All that you have learned, received, heard and seen in me, practice; and the God of peace will be with you ''

Let us not fill our heads with malice, evil, negative and demonic thoughts, nor with the works of the devil.

May God bless and keep you.

I would say that it is depressing. My family are German refugees from Eastern Europe and now I'm in Canada and feel like a foreigner with all the new waves up people coming in. Most people my age aren't Christian at all, university might as well be hell, and even my close friends and relatives don't believe in traditional Christianity or culture. Living very comfortably and I have God, but I certainly am not immune to depression.

Just like the proverb. I would apply your saying to most worldly places.

90a9e8  No.769148

Depression is one thing.. and it's natural to grieve for those you love especially. You wouldn't be human if you didn't. But blackpilled is a whole other thing.. at least I thought. It's a hopeless, bleak point of view.

2207da  No.769150

I wouldn't say that I have it. I am concerned for my future and now believe that it is in God's hands as my strength will fail. I should be more concerned for spiritual wealth but I can't help but get distracted by all these earthly concerns and stress about them.

What worries me is you are using a Brazilian chanspeak for "anon" and it wasn't even google-translated.

You look like the cancer who has no idea what IB culture is and gather in "public" in Facebook calling each other "anon", even though there's no anonymity over there. You look like cancer from some "panelinha" who behaves like he's new in the Internet and at same time look like a shill.

Aprenda a lurkar.

Mods, don't get wrong my aggressiveness, I'm trying to prevent cancer from spreading and this is odd enough. Be careful with this situation and don't confuse love and charity with spoiling and spoonfeeding.

3b8aae  No.769179

That's why I said OP, at same time he looks like he's new in the Internet, he behaves like a shill (I'm assuming OP is just an odd newfag).

This kind of purism only make us lose territory to our enemies, who ruin the place and convert the naïve users to their side. Lefties use this strategy, for example, as pointed by >>768995 and >>769000.

How Christianity and Confucianism can explain US-China rivalry…

Peter T. C. Chang says China’s Confucian heritage means it can tolerate multiple belief systems ‘under heaven’, but the US’ insistence on liberal democracy has echoes of Christian exclusivism

The ongoing trade war is just one front of an expanding all-out US-China tussle for world dominance. And unlike earlier great-power rivalries, this has the trappings of a civilisational showdown, as the pre-eminent Christian West faces off against a resurgent Confucian East, with potentially far-reaching consequences for the existing global order. Anxieties abound over whether these two giants share enough core values to manage a peaceful balancing of power, and can avert the dreaded Thucydides Trap. These fears are not unfounded. While similar in some ways, Christianity and Confucianism are distinct traditions, with theological assumptions that, if unchallenged, could set the US and China on a collision course.

Christianity, like Judaism, believes in the existence of only one true God. But, unlike the latter, the former transcended Judaic ethnocentrism to embrace Christian universalism. The Abrahamic god in Christianity is no longer just for the Jews, but for all peoples. Still, Christianity remains monotheistic, exacting absolute allegiance to the one God. For Christians, to be saved one must embrace the biblical faith. Put differently, humanity’s fate lies with Christianity, the sole gateway to heaven. Imprints of these Christian motifs are unmistakable in Pax Americana. Stepping out of isolation, the US played a central role in stabilising the post-second-world-war order. Hailed as the American century, the 20th century has had its lows, surely. But it was also marked with historic accomplishments. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights is one. The reason for US/China rivalry is because the communist party is power hungry. China was never meant to be united at the scale it is today and should be partitioned into smaller regions by the dialects that are spoken. The culture created by the communist party has made it so that the chinese treat each other as subhuman.

The destruction of the communist party and the partitioning of china will reap only benefits for the people.

>This highlights a problem with the notion that the bible is the complete and infallible word of God.

I'm not sure, but I think you might want to rephrase that sentence.

It IS the complete and infallible word of God.

If this is a sign of some other anti-Christian teaching from within the Christian church, I'll want names, addresses and membership lists.

What the Bible may NOT be is the complete historical story of the Christ, something the Gospel of (IwanttosayJohn) even states at its conclusion, but it is every single word God intended for us to have and it is perfection in its truthfulness as God intended.

If not, then God is not God.

if you look up the tradition behind Mary's Assumption it confirms that She was in and around the Apostle's circle.

Aside from obviously being around St. John a lot of the time, She must have instructed and passed on anecdotes to the Apostle's and their successors.

Also I took the time to read all 4 gospel accounts of Jesus' last days. I don't see why Luke is more strongly pro-Roman when John gives Pilate the most dialogue.

Nevertheless, all agree that Pilate didn't really want to send Jesus to his death, he just "gave in" knowing that he might end up with a religiously motivated riot had he not. Ultimately, it's all pro-Roman insofar as the Romans understandably found the Pharisees' laws repulsive. Pilate acts realistically though, as any Roman governor would have.

An academic told me the Bible is wrong about Moses's name. Apparently the name is Egyptian in origin, not Hebrew like the Bible suggests, and that it means "son of" not "drawn out of water." He did give me examples, like of a Pharaoh named Thutmose I whose name means "son of Thoth" and Ramesses/Ramses I whose name means "son of Ra". He says likely Moses's name included a foreign gods name but it got removed and that the story had a long oral tradition before it got included in the Bible and likely the authors of the Bible drew on material like that of Sargon of Akkad and came up with a Hebrew/folk etymology to make Moses's name mean "drawn out of water" instead of what it originally meant. He did make a good point of why would an Egyptian give a child a Hebrew name? Anyway, how accurate is this /christian/?

The claim that the story of Moses and the river was based on a similar story about Sargon of Akkad is ridiculous. The earliest text mentioning the story about Sargon was written around 600 B.C. I haven't kept up with newest hip and edgy theories that atheists have about the Bible, but I think even they would admit that the Book of Exodus was written before that.

I've spent about 2 days reading sceptic stuff criticizing the Bible and have yet to find anything substantial from them.

I found this "god hates shrimp" site and ended up reading and researching more about the dietary laws in the Bible. Here are the parts I find relevant:

Old Testament Jewish Food Prohibitions:

(Leviticus 11:1-47)

(Deuteronomy 14:1-21)

New Testament Doing Away With Food Prohibitions:

(Matthew 15:10-20)

(Acts 10:9-16)

So I think these "skeptics" are Bible illiterate idiots that couldn't be bothered to actually read the whole bible and to do any serious research. The only thing that is making my mind meltdown right now is Matthew 5…

"For I tell you truly, until heaven and earth pass away, not a single jot, not a stroke of a pen, will disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished."

(Matthew 5:18)

This part is quoted by skeptics a lot. I need help to understand it. I've thought about it in different ways and here are some interpretations I've come up with:

1. Jesus has already fulfilled the law so they can be changed now? I guess that would mean that in Matthew 15 and Acts 10 he must have already been crucified at that point?

2. The law is valid… except those parts that have been done away with, in which case, Matthew 5:18 is worded wrongly?

3. The Law means God's Law… which is not the same as that which is laid out in Leviticus. Leviticus is not entirely legit.

You are not God, anon. Check your heart, love thy enemy, and pray for those who sin. Always.

>unironically arguing this

>unironically saying that America is the be-all of morals

>not realizing that Sodomites will get no pity, praise, or gibs in Heaven

>not understanding that you live for Heaven, not America

The absolute state of the American Prot. Pity those who sin. Heterosexuals (just call them normal people who don't participate in sodomy. Heterosexual is a scientific term used to put "heteros" and "homos" on equal footing. Sodomy is a sin; healthy sexual behavior - that is, sex between a man and his wife - is not) do not need pity from Heaven - they are doing what is right in the sight of God. Sodomites are sinning, and we should pray - out of pity for their souls - that they find salvation in Christ.

I'm not saying wear a rainbow flag or anything of that sort. If that's how you took my original comment, then I am sorry for the ambiguity. But saying "the world is evil, we should fight and overthrow it through physical means!" is literally what the Jews who rejected Christ believed. Christ came not to make things "pure" in this world, but to make us pure for the next world. We are called to pray and show Christ to the world, that all who have ears to hear the Gospel may be saved. Pity your enemy and pray.

In Matthew, after Christ had finished living His life, and died on the Cross it was, at least in one sense, the fulfillment of the law, Matthew 3:15, & 26:53-56. This is what Matthew is trying to show us. So the ceremonial requirement about not eating shrimp was perfectly fulfilled in the life of Christ, and we are no longer under it.

>Synchronicity like crazy

anon, this is how it works. It took me a very long time in life to realize that literally God literally exists. Prayer is super important. And that is not synchronicity , that is important for you. And more than that…Everything is important for you…at least that’s shat I’m really starting to think. Which is why sin is so weird and bad. Those are things I’m doing and then I get off message and out of communication with prayer and it’s my own fault and I stop being able to hear/see “synchronicities” for a while…until I go back to God again and then recognize the next one when it comes again, etc etc. Still figuring it out. I used to think I was just being crazy, until I heard about how many other people had similar experiences. Imo people sort of have this and don’t recognize it for what it is and then don’t pursue or listen to it and it fades …but all of that makes sense if you think of it as YOUR spirit and Jesus literally teaching YOU.

Also fyi I’m pretty new to this all, so ignore me if that’s heretical or you have good reason to think I’m wrong about that or something.

Immaculate conception is a term created since the middle ages and widely popularised between catholics. It was taught in every catechism even before the dogmatical definition.

Also hundreds of scientifically unexplainable miracles happened there either way.

Right now I am solely attracted physically, romantically, and sexually to men. In the past I have had many boyfriends and have had homosexual sex on many occasions. I just cannot bring myself to like females, I have never ever been attracted to one. But I really want to change this for God. I want to look at a woman and find her attractive. A large cross washed ashore over the weekend behind a hotel along Galt Ocean Mile in Fort Lauderdale.

Bales of drugs, derelict vessels, seaweed, whales, and driftwood are among the many items to wash up on South Florida’s beaches, but the latest flotsam and jetsam has made believers of some beach-goers. A very large, barnacle-encrusted, wooden cross washed ashore behind the Ocean Manor Beach Resort along Galt Ocean Mile in Fort Lauderdale, during the weekend. “It is fantastic,” said Mary Ann Smolinski, visiting from Michigan. “It’s amazing. Very spiritual.”

A group of people dragged it up onto the beach from the water’s edge behind the hotel at 4040 Galt Ocean Drive, she said. “We were just lying on the beach and we saw a crowd of people around and I just got up to see what was going on,” said Smolinski. “It was a cross that was laying right in the water.” John Skorupa, 74, of Fort Lauderdale, said he was walking along the beach early Saturday afternoon when he came upon the cross swaying in the surf and he took a few pictures. “It was 20 foot long, like railroad ties,” he said. “Really big, really big.” Speculation around the hotel tiki bar was lively. Everyone has a theory about where it came from, Skorupa said.

>Is it sign?

A cross? Certainly.

It's a sign of God's undying love for us that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

>no, I mean, is it a sign that it washed-up on the shore?

Yes, that's a sign that someone threw some wood over the side of a boat.

Or a storm broke some wood off someone's yard and washed it out to sea.

Or, it could be that some random pieces of wood were just floating out to sea and then the angels took a nail that crucified Christ and nailed the two pieces together and made that. OML, it's HOLY RELIC> QUICK! VENERATE IT!!

Whatever it is, it's NOT the last one

I've always found the placement of Adam, Eve and their progeny to be a point of contention among some in my family. Both sets of my grandparents are southern baptists who have a very literal understanding of the text. Despite this one set will continue to act as though other races are no kin of theirs or deserve subpar treatment, while the other tries their best to understand yet reverts to ideas such as the curse of Ham as an explanation for various phenomena, such as strange human fossils. Are we all of one blood (including fossil people), or do antiquated notions of "pre-adamites" still hold water today?

Come on. Those guys made a good religion. The Bible even proves Mormonism is true.

But then continue to ignore how much the bible has been tampered with. And how many artifacts have been hidden via the basement of the Vatican.

Crusader memes are cringe and people who post them are more often than not larpers.

Also the word heresy is used too often and the original meaning of the word has pretty much been lost to the average layman.

Muslims only took Constantinople because it was demoralized and wrecked, after the raping the West already did to it. The idea that they could have taken out the Byzantine Empire all by themselves is silly. That's giving those idiots too much credit. It was primed for them, sadly.

Friendly reminder that it wasn’t Game journalists that killed Gamergate. It was the youtube ((Skeptic)) community and theirt e-celebs. Soon as GG became anti-christian. It died off and ((Skeptics)) turned on each other. Atheist youtube e-celebs always backstab each other and were always SJWs with a different name. Yes, I am fully aware of the irony of linking to a Jim video while trashing e-celebs. But that doesn’t mean Jim wasn’t right when he tried to warn people about Gamergate downfall.

>I'm not sure Gamergate was ever that powerful.

My first big exposure to the truth of left-wing controlled media was when about 13 different "gaming" websites all published variations of a "Gamers are Dead/Gamer as a Label/Culture is Dead" over the course of a single day in unison. I was there as Gamergaters cheered when we got companies like Adobe and Intel to drop their advertisements and financial support of offending sites like Gawker, due to email writing campaigns exposing the corruption and antics of SJW Gamer sites. It got to the point where everything from SJW propaganda listicle sites like Cracked.com were writing hit pieces on us, to major publications, like the Wall Street Journal, were weighing in as either neutral parties or even outright sympathetic. It got pretty huge.

>tfw Mister Metokur was still right about gamergay and anyone who was involved within gamergay to this very day

at least the "Skeptic" "Community" fell apart nearly two years ago after Kraut & Tea's gay-ops on the race realists. Also, I'm still surprise that /vpol/ still has the gamergay general on their board yet the "movement" has been dead for nearly 4-5 years

>What exactly happened?

Sargon of Applebee's & his goons co-op gamergay to be about them and killed the "movement" as soon as they fully took over it.

>There's fellow Jim fans even on /christian/?

I'm one of them. Mister Metokur is one of my "favorite" e-celebs and I like his videos/streams that he does. Photon Warriors is really kino btw.
