Well, you know, you are still catholic and it is really easy to get back. Get a catechism, read up on what is forbidden, reflect on your past and make an appointment to go to confession. In the mean time: go to mass (but do not receive communion until you have confessed). Easter is a good time to get back.

I find offence with christian hypocry.

Many of you faggots complain when messianic jews keep and practice their traditions. You say the ritual law is gone, we only have the moral law.

But if you take offence at them for celebrating jewish feasts, why do you celebrate your Christian feasts?

No where in the bible is a commandment that says we are to celebrate christian feasts.

If the ritual law has indeed perished than there is no law commanding us to celebrate any feast nore any rules that say how to celebrate it.

Jewish feasts are just as legal a christian feasts in this point.

Because consider Jesus died on passover and not on the feast of easter. Pentacost is not just some fictitious day but the feast of Shavuot.

be64ab No.261921

The problem with their feasts is that they are a reflection of how they just want to be part of a special tribe.

Christmas isn't celebrated because it's part of any law.

Hey /christian/. I've recently been having a reoccurring thought, and that thought has been haunting me: the concept of eternity.

Somehow the idea of never-ending life troubles me greatly, even if I did manage to get to Heaven. The idea that eternity in Heaven would be monotony without end for the rest of existence. It almost sickens me. Granted, I definitely don't want to go to Hell, and neither does the concept of non-existence (something that scares me more than eternity of monotony is an eternity of nothing). I'm not sure what to do, and I've been losing sleep because this thought has been keeping me awake at night.

Am I the only one who has this fear? Any advice on how to cope? I'm honestly scared.

51469b No.261914

It's because you think 'time' exists in heaven.

You have the very shallow and childish idea that it's above the clouds with angels and harps.

Heaven (to be in the very presence of God, the one who created you, your heavenly Father) is the most blissful and glorious experience you can have.

There is nothing in this world that compares.

1. Time doesn't exist, time and space was created by God and only applies to this universe. God is outside of time.

2. You get a new resurrected body, incorruptable without sin. Can you imagine a perfect you?

3. You get to see God face to face and not die.

4. You get to travel the cosmos and see everything there is. You get to review all of human history (from beginning to end) and glorify God and His awesome power, holiness, righteousness.

Let me reiterate that time does not exist, you can't get 'bored' in heaven. Negative emotions and feelings don't exist in heaven. It is a perfect paradise and there is always something to do.

Heaven is beyond comprehention. It can't be described with words, it is beyond our capability of understanding. It is a different dimension.

Also, eternity will be spent on the New Earth (restored to Edenic conditions) but my point still applies.

you're not the first or last person mang don't worry.

humans can't fathom the concept of eternity and forever, we need constant distractions and fabrications to keep us busy. also who said you'll be the same person as your mortal state once you pass on to the next? It's best to not loose sleep over it. Much like an algorithm in a computer is something repeats forever it'll recognize this and forget it what's the point of fanbtising over the expected, do the same. Relax Anon. As God is constant in nature but infinite and unending in his glory, so too shall heaven be, since its nature is fully dependent on God. It will be wonderful and worth the suffering we endure in life, and it, unlike any pleasure in life, shall never grow tiresome, and never cease to be beautiful.

-God created us to glorify Him

-God knew Adam and Eve would sin

-God knew exactly that the without-paradise era would have to happen in order for us to glorify Him

-God knowing this, still didn't kill us off.

-Us glorifying Him meant more to Him than our salvation, even though going without salvation was a place of utter hell.

and

-God creates stipulation

-we need Him to be saved

-He gives his life for us so we can, but he's the one who created the stipulation that we need him

Knowing these things, how can one believe in God's love?

Life is a grand opera.

From beginning to end, it's a movie.

God allowed evil to exist because it shows God's mercy. It also shows that Satan's accusations are wrong. Christ on the cross is a testament to both angels and mankind that God was right and the devil is wrong.

We live in an epic drama - a cosmic/spiritual warfare.

Imagine seeing a movie where all is fine and dandy, nothing bad happens. It's boring isn't it?

We see movies with drama, action, sadness and conflict because it keeps us on the edge of our seat, it makes us reflect after the movie is over and cheer for the main character.

Now apply that analogy to life.

We will glorify God and be in eternal bliss because of the experiences we had with sin.

A dumbbell is meant to be heavy and go against you. It strengthens muscle.

Swords are sharpened by blacksmiths in a fire.

Likewise going through tribulation and hard moments makes you stronger in spirit. That's the whole point of being a Christian. We are Satan's number #1 target. We are soldiers behind enemy lines (this world). The Bible tells us how it will end, we simply have to hold on to our dear Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ.

So, I was having this discution with about religion and war.

He claims that religions are used as tool to promote wars and how it ultimaltly causes violence.

He used the crussades as an ultimate example

So, I was wondering.

How many wars, in general, have the religion as a excuse?

How many of said wars had Christianity as a reason?

Any good books about the crusades and its reasons?

The worst wars in human history had little to nothing to do with religion. The USSR and Eastern Bloc were explicitly anti-religion and they fought a number of wars. It seems to me that your friend is confusing correlation with causation. People fight wars over access to resources. Any other reason is secondary.

Napoleon

WW1

WW2

Stalin, Hitler, Mao, etc.

Copernicus gave way to Darwinism which gave way to Socialism/Communism and the cancerous "enlightenment".

Not defending the antichrist actions of the Papal Rome (inquisition, crusades and inventing horrible torture devices) that has murdered and burned millions of Christians at the stakes, but the atheists have done equally bad if not worse.

You only have to look at the French Revolution and Bolshevik Revolution to see how barbaric nations become when they turn atheist.

As an actual microbiologist I don't even understand what you are asking. You can "scientifically" analyse anything. Make a hypothesis, test it and have a control group. The real issue is that much like psychology analysis - you have several variables. Now imagine you are analyzing prayer and healing. How would you actually measure faith? How do you provide quantifiable data?

My bible study is talking about race next week. Different races are clearly biologically different, how does the Bible explain this when supposedly all are equal? I feel like I'll be ostracized if I even dare to say all races aren't the same just with different amounts of melanin. Any advice and sciprute on this topic?

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

What does this mean? That God is a male or a female? Is "the image of God" actually how we physically look like humans? Or is it our consciousness?

1410d0 No.261796

>>261318

No not all men are equal.

We know that every person in the bible got associated with a blessing and sometimes a curse.

For example we know of the curse and blessing of Ismael and the blessing of Israel.

>So God created man in his own image

God created ADAM in his own image, but the bible says that his sons where created after ADAMS image, not Gods (genesis 5:3).

That is why the seed of Adam was cursed to die because of the curse on adam.

.

Every tribe/nation is a image of their ancestors. With each generation the curses and blessing multiply by addion, so thats why we have this vastness of diffrent nations.

The arabs have the blessing and curse of Ismael, thats why they are big in number but also all times at war with others and each other.

But we can take the best example with israel, each tribe has his own blessing put down by Jacob (Genesis 49) and this shows to be true throug out the bible, most of the tribes where envious of Ephraim and Manassa, but if they are all equal why are they envious?

We know that Jacob and Esau were completely diffrent people in character and apperance, but they where born twins. Esau was tanned and hairy as the fur of a goat, but Jacob was light skinned and more of a house person.

The bible shows that from a single seed a vastness of people can be created.

But just to make it simple, just as you have hundrets of dogs races each coming from just a few wolves and each one more diffrent than the other. It would be stupid to not accept this reality in humans.

You have intelligent and stupid dog races, you have high performers and low performers, you have big and small dogs, all coming form one comon ancestor.

So if your church group calls this Post too long. Click here to view the full text.

Races all come from the sons of Noah. Shem begat the middle east, Japheth is the father of the whites and Ham whose name means "burnt" is the father of the blacks.

Whether you go by what the cultures themselves say (Ethiopians says they are of Sheba son of Ham, Chinese claim Noah had other children later, and they are of that) What Josephus says (I think he was incorrect on a few) Or whatever the modern critics say, some things are pretty well agreed on. Madea is the father of Persians, Elam is the father of Pakistan and India, Mizraim son of Ham is Egypt.

Of course people are different. Most southeast Asians have bad eyesight, whites are more prone to melanoma, lots of problems are genetic even dyslexia.

God is a Spirit, there is no physical likeness to copy aside from Jesus. I think it meant our capacity for higher thought.

We are all the same as in all 'kind'.

But a 'kind' of animal can have many variations, see dogs, spiders, etc.

Adam and Eve were brown and out of that came the diversity of very light brown (what we call "white" people) and dark brown. We are all a different shade of brown.

And yes, race is not just skin deep. There are different genetics and facial structures in the same way you have many different breeds of dogs. But they still remain dogs.

If you can create offspring, you're of the same kind (I use the Biblical definition, not the retardedly vague evolutionist term "species").

We also have souls. God created every single person so He loves all of us. He does not want any of us to perish (hence Christ dying for our sins).

472c04 No.261834

This thread speaks lengths to me. I am not a Christian (I agree with many teachings of Christ but do not adhere to them in a religious sense, just a philosophical one) but I have always lived a life led by anger. I suffered from anger issues as a child and had violent tendencies. I've always considered my anger to be a powerful, useful tool for dealing with life issues in spite of many psychiatrists and other mental healthcare specialists' attempts to curb my anger. I need to feel like I can stand my ground to make a point. I don't want to be a pushover and I want to protect myself from harm.

/christian/, I'm conflicted. I'm a naturally angry man and yet, I'm also a naturally kind man. I hate to be the generic "I can be a nice guy unless you get on my bad side!!" type but what is the worth in Christ's realm of someone like me? In the kingdom of God, where do I stand? I want to believe, /christian/. But I've always had a bit of a personal crisis as to what I'm capable of and what kind of person it makes me.

I would say my advice is that discretion is the better part of valor. Almost all instances of anger can screw you and set your goals back. It has purpose, but you cannot let it consume your or lead you to make short sighted decisions. Always plan long term.

As for your faith, it was the philosophy of Christ that has been my proof. Those who follow his teachings have a good life. They are frequently blessed with land and children and a good life, even a virgin wife.

Meanwhile those who do what is right in their own eyes (my parents) end up in a trailer smoking weed/Drinking beer all day raising a kid who isn't even theirs with a used up single mom.

I seriously don't care if there is a heaven. I am convinced this society of Christendom is Superior to the natural way. Is it a scam to make people be better citizens? Who cares, I love this society, and I hate the one I grew up in.

This is why I am convinced there is a God and he is our God.

you can LARP and imitate Jesus after you've fasted for 40days and 40nights straight.

I want to tell you a dream I had, first I have to tell you that I rarely have dream, almost never, I had this dream in december near the new year.

I saw Obama with a baby, and in the dream I knew that he had a plan in his heart, something significant. A voice said to me, Obama means give light, bring light something along those lines. I saw three beams, like beams of steel, but in the dream I knew each beam somehow meant a measure of time and somehow I knew "we" were at the second beam, then another voice asked him: "Why not execute the plan now?" Then he said: Not now, on the third beam, only then. Then I woke up.

At first I thought this was about my personal life, because, first I'm not American, and dreams I had were fulfilled only on my personal life. Recently I was bored and searched for revelations about Obama on YouTube, and to my surprise there are tons and tons of such videos.

What's the interpretation? Ideas?

don't assume that the dream had divine origins OP

either way, obama shone a light allright

all of the ways be broke the law and should've been impeached by now, he shone a light on the corruption in america

what is the plan? it's probably marital law in order to establish the one-world government they want, the NWO and/or make obama have a third term

that so-called democracy spring stuff funded by george soros who works for the rothschilds aka redshields comes to mind, and they'd probably be on the third beam if "democracy spring" turns out the way they want it to

presumably he'd want to establish marital law either right before donald wins the nom, right when donald wins the nom, or right after donald wins the nom, or right on new year's eve

I didn't have the interpretation, a possibility that came to my mind is that Obama is the antichrist, the name Lucifer (Hillel) means light bearer or crescent.
