Behemoth is GOAT.

There's some crap ITT, though…

This thread needs more anarcho-punk. It was basically an offshoot of the British punk scene that criticized the original movement for being too conventional and manufactured, so it was more stripped down and raw (less processed), but also a lot more politically aware, and more experimental. The movement was more or less started by Penny Rimbaud, an artist who'd started a communal housing project (Dial House), helped form the modern British animal rights movement, and had studied philosophy at Oxford.

The bands are awesomely diverse. Rudimentary Peni was an anarcho band, but really into horror, and the songwriter was schizophrenic, so he wrote about mental illness. Amebix combined the scratchy anarcho sound with the driving metal of Motörhead and Discharge, and the dark goth/post-punk sound of bands like Killing Joke. The Ex is one of the most prolific bands in rock music, and they progressed from straightforward anarcho-punk, to noise rock, to African Jazz and Eastern European folk. Zounds were a great swaggering post-punk band. Subhumans were a great snotty classic punk band. Conflict was one of the greatest hardcore bands of all time. Lot of good stuff.

Gonna try to explain myself better, since English is not my first language.

Merit is a judgement people make.

I can judge a product A to be better than product B, but I'll still buy B because I only have the resources to buy B. That's why meritocracy has nothing to do with the free market.

Meritocracy is statism because meritocracy is about judgement and not about renouncing to resources to buy something.

For example when the government's bureaucrats choose who to hire, they choose based on meritocracy because they hire based on who they think has merit. They don't have to renounce to their resources since they have unlimited money stolen from someone. This always happens no matter what they choose. Even when there is corruption, it's still a meritocracy because the person who decides to hire is making a choice based on his judgement and not on the need to allocate resources.

> sports industry is one of the biggest.

There is no industry based on merit. Industries are based on individuals allocating resources. You are fooling yourself in thinking athletes deserve their place because they win games. But they don't always win and often lose, and yet they get a place in a team or play anyway. They have a place in the market because someone is willingly to transfer resources to them, but it's not a meritocracy.

The point is that the meritocracy, being based on a personal judgement, doesn't give space to having other people make choices that we don't like. In meritocracy a person can intervene in a voluntary transaction to impose is will. In the free market instead you have to respect choices other people make that you may find disgusting and bad.

Hats off to Procter and Gamble for taking the risk and addressing social issues. This is a prime example of the superiority of corporations and the free market in handling issues over the government. Statists like to think ancapistan won't have charity, that lack of hate speech suppression will lead to discrimination, and that things will devolve into fuedalism where the lower income groups have no say. But here we have a prime example of the free market solving a problem. While Trump's big government is stalling public services and increasing racism, sexism, homophobia and xenophobia, here a corporation motivated only by profit, has brought a controversial topic to the forefront, and shot down it's ugly detractors without any government intervention.

With one swift ad campaign, they've revealed and exposed the shocking amount of the populace that supports sexual harassment, all the while doing a good job imbuing strong motivation for the progressive heroes of society. The incels who don't like it can live without household staples like Tide pods and shampoo, instead taking lower quality bootlegs. This is great, misogynists are getting punished by being denied goods and services, forced to support the foreign countries they loathe by being denied American made products.

I used to have doubts about ancapistan because of the number of bigots that would crowd it, but I understand now that the market will always have a solution, and social justice will not only thrive in ancapistan, but will stamp out the scum that holds us back. I can't wait for the pearl clutching manbabies to end up biting the bullet and going back to Gillete razors after this thing blows over in a month or two, haplessly funding P and G's next egalitarian masterpiece.

Unless I have a relationship with the man who is starving, I have no reason to care about him.

Unless I have a relationship with the man who is homeless, I have no reason to care about him.

I am only responsible for their condition in that my choices have an effect on their lives. This is hardly a profound statement as everyone's choices has an effect on everyone's lives. If you want to morally invest yourself in the well-being of strangers who have no connection to you, that is your imperative, not mine.

>but you have an obligation as a citizen to do so

If I have entered into a contract with the collective to act as a public servant in a manner that would apply to one of those scenarios then yes I have an ethical obligation because I agreed to accept that obligation. If I have invested myself spiritually into the community in a manner that would apply to one of those scenarios then yes I have a moral obligation because I have agreed to accept that obligation. As it stands I have done none of these things, and thus have no obligation.

>but the state gives you roads and stuff

Unless I agree to an exchange wherein I help protect the community in exchange for goods or services, there has been no ethical or moral contract created. If you choose to adopt a moral system wherein unasked for favors must be repaid, that is on you. I have not accepted such a system and find it illegitimate.

Do you have any idea how expensive it is to maintain a military? Even nowadays PMCs all operate under government contract. Large-scale armies with $70M Trident missiles and $100M F-35s can only exist under a state through the magic of taxation and fiat currency. If you do manage to pay for a missile defense system with your own money, it's probably for a reason that has to do with your own survival, because the amount of value you get from deciding to blow up the company next door (good luck trying to explain that to your customers) pales in comparison.

>now I wipe out military with shotgun

You'd be surprised. Let's just say for the sake of argumentation someone comes in with a conventional military force. Remember that time when the USSR tried to attack Finland? They were sending tanks up against bicycle companies and ski troopers. Soviet casualties were 8 to 1. Even though the Finns didn't have any tanks of their own, they just ran up to the tanks and shoved logs and crowbars into their treads before planting explosives and running away..

Not having a government powerful enough to give them enormous amounts in subsidies, copyright and patent chests that last for 234987 years, "too large to fail" bailout protections, huge regulatory apparatus built especially to the whims of large corporations for the explicit purpose of blocking out competition, or antitrust agencies that they can easily capture to allow their mergers anyways–for one.

>It doesn't allow for competition

There's more than one supplier, there's competition. Again, oligopolies form because in certain industries work better with them–if you had "more competition," i.e. many small firms, you would have higher prices and lower efficiency. Why would you want higher prices and lower efficiency?

>Dis-economies of scale

I wasn't talking about disenconomies of scale., actually. But since you brought it up, diseconomies of scale can and do happen in all markets. It doesn't matter how "well run" it is, increased complexity brings with it increased points of failure, increased overhead, and certain inefficiencies. The maximum profitable threshold is different in different economies, but it is undoubtedly present.

>>96552

<imperfect competition

There is nothing wrong with imperfect competition. "Perfect" competition is not inherently more desirable or "better" than other forms of competition, it's an academic construct. In fact, "perfect" competition is in many ways less desirable, because it implies there's no entrepreneurship, no advertising, no differentiation…in other words, a "perfectly competitive" market is a market which eliminates all of the methods through which firms compete with one another. https://mises.org/wire/why-perfect-competition-not-so-perfect

<Game theory is thrown out the window of the few companies in the oligopoly know about each other's behavior

This is false, on multiple levels. First, it's not correct to say that the different firms know about each other's decisions–the decisions happen simultaneously in most cases, which makes it impossible to know. They might be able to anticipate and predict what the other's decisions are, but that's not the same asPost too long. Click here to view the full text.

You can browse through her channel, watch every single moment of her life since she was a little girl, relive her entire experience growing up, her every memorable activity and experience, imagine yourself sniffing her armpits, maybe even jerking off with her hair, but you will never console the fact that you wasted your life pretending you know shit about Austrian Economics or The Labor Theory of Value, while she got fucked and ejaculated in by another man in every single orifice. You can hang on to her channel in disbelief, refusing to accept reality, but in time, all you'll see are videos of her first and then second born, stilling markers that she's not only been fucked, she's not only been creamed and inseminated, but that her pussy has been completely and utterly ploughed into messy folded paste, over and over and over again, only to be ripped asunder months later by a struggling gasping infant clambering into this world, sans your DNA, but half of his DNA. His genes that were passed on while yours rotted in your testicles, desperate for the release that would make your parents proud and fulfill their biological purpose. A release that hasn't come, a release that will probably never come.

Do you see now the pointlessness of it all, reminder after reminder after reminder that you are destined to fail? For us ancap psuedointellectuals, it never even began.

I've got three nephews. My genes are as good as passed, I get to sleep at night, and I don't have to pay for it. It's kind of awesome.

After watching this Varg's video, I agree him on the ship & air shipping, we should buy stuff that are made domestic in order to limit sea & air shipping to reduce pollution.

In fact, "free trade" that utilizes sea containers & air ship should be banned, just for the environment sake.

>16 container ships pour our more pollution than all the world cars put together.

16 containers transport more wealth than all those cars

>And more pollution that all the world cars put together, that price is NOT worth the pollution.

In order to produce the same amount of wealth as those 16 containers, you will require more cars and produce more pollution than the transport of those containers.

>I believe in private property and free-trade, just not in free trade that destroys the environment that will actually hamper my life and everybody else's life.

In free trade and the recolonization of property rights, polluters have to recompense those whose property was damaged by pollution. This provides incentive to limit the amount of pollution.
